Y'all who think Jared is being an ass. Think about the lyrics. Think about Jared trying to explain the only way he knows how that Evan spreading the letters is a bad idea for these reasons. He's warning him. "your life will go viral."
The song isn't about Evan spreading the letter though. In the video where Will explains the context of the song, it's after Connor stole the letter and it's about how Connor could ruin Evan's life with it. So in a way I think it's not so much a warning as it is Jared just kinda worsening whatever anxiety Evan probably already had about Connor seeing the letter by saying "oh yeah and here's every way it can go wrong" while simultaneously lightly roasting him. Even though Evan can't stop it from spreading even if he wants to. That's kinda what makes me look at that and think "wow what an asshole"

It's not the way they choose to see it; that's actually what the song was originally about. It wasn't about Evan spreading the letters, it was about Connor getting a hold of the original letter.
