- I spared you from watching me get them out, trust me is wasn't too fun. Anyway, I will have the work done on the spindles done this week along with ordering other needed parts(front spings, shocks, and some assorted rubber bushings.

Good video, so no ball joints then, now I have an understanding about a kingpin front end. Appreciate the video keep up the good work.
Thanks Boss, my rollback is the first vehicle that I've had to service just about everything on. (Previous owner really put it through the ringer!) I remember hearing about KINGPINS, but never quite knew what they were.... As embarrassing as that may be, I appreciate this video putting it into a visual that is easy to comprehend. As well as you not going over the top explaining things that aren't really relevant to the topic!!
Makes it really easy to follow, and comprehend! THANK YOU!!!
If you'll excuse me, I'm off to go get my kingpins and wheel bearings sorted!!
I would imagine there aren't many people left who know enough to climb under a truck and grease it on a regular basis.
Thanks for the preview so I can prepare. Cheers.
My 81 F100 Ford Ranger has King Pins in it the truck has over 300,000 miles on it kingpins have never been replaced been greased its whole life taking good care of I have replaced the kingpins before in another truck I had in your right you got to beat the living full out of them sometimes to get them out
I got lucky on my 79 ford 150 the pins drove out easy I made a puller from a bolt to remove the bushings and replaced them with the gray plastic ones they have worked good I grease them regularly at least once a year they will last alot of miles
i used to have a windy pick attachment for taking king pins out mind you ear protection was a must lol
Yea that would have been nice! Those suckers were a bugger to get out!
I'm about to do the kingpins on my 1980 f350
I hope I don't have to do this to my truck, it has 231,000 miles on it lol. It drives fine and nothing seems very loose but I guess I'll find out when I service the wheel bearings.
For future viewers, it is not advisable to use heat to remove king pins per my Stemco Kaiser removal instructions.
I think ford was using nylon bushings for a while for some reason, but nun of it maters if no one ever greases them.
have you ever used 50/50 acetone and atf as penetrating oil?
How do you fix camber on kingpins
any truck spring shop can do the bushings for you
Gets dangerous due to hitting a bump at around 65 70 causes my 96 to go into a death wobble that u have to pull over in order to get it stopped. Avoid holes !!
How does the front wheel bearing caps come off?
Are those free floating pins? I changed a lot of VW Beetle kingpins but that was a long time ago..
Nope. An oxy acetylene torch and an impact driver are the way to go. They are not that terribly different from a Model T. No joke to do. The bushings need to be reamed precisely as well. Really good grease once a month make huge difference. One trick that works mostly is to get the tires reset on the rims, inside face out. Drives a little squirrelly at first, but evens out the wear. Two tons and five ton trucks are usually easier. Mostly. Drilling out the cross pin that holds the kingpin happens a lot. It gets mushed.
Use Stemco QwickKit KE350F No reaming required
i would say put some graphite spray on them or some anti seize
no mames q bien explicado 😃
"this invention didn't work" lol
lack of info not a good job dont fix anything anymore
Go lay down buddy you must have a bread crmb for a brain he said how to do it you just didn't comprehend drive the pin our then the bushings replace bushings and drive the pin back in in worked for me you need to see a shop not this guy
I understand this is a year old comment... But I took a quick look at your account for a better video on KingPins.... Strange. not a single upload?
Your welcome to your opinion, however It's a bit crass and childish...
