Absolutely yes i love that guy

It's great to watch one character's single story for change instead of seeing everything without character being actually there and exactly that book thing, imagination and paying attention. It also stands solid on one actor's performance and his drive and affinity. He’s the only thing that was good about this movie. Netflix sucks the over spread the dialogue in order to keep it going at this point i would have rather preferred the original.
Pretty terrible movie all around. The writing is terrible, the characters are borderline comical, Jake gives an over the top performance that made me laugh out loud more than once. Just so many holes in this movie. A better ending would’ve been everyone dies in the wildfire.
I saw it today. It was good
Don't think the twist can be that great since the trailer gives away so much. From the trailer I am guessing things are not what they seem. Guessing woman over the phone is actually the bad person. Am I right? That is what I am picking up from the trailer. What's the twist?
What makes this movie so good is that it keeps us guessing, or makes us visualize the worst-case scenario. Throughout the movie, our attention is on Jake's character, but it didn't take away the suspense. This movie doesn't show any violence or graphic content, only implications from it... Antoine Fuqua did a great job of grounding the story around the protagonist, but still making us feel the tension, forcing us figure out the worst thing that could happen.
This is intense. Such a good actor. Also, the woman on the phone her voice acting was on point! Seen movies like this before, but still curious to see this one.

Danish version is awesome 👌!!!
@@jonarundadadottir5313 same here
Watching the trailer, seems like the acting is going to be handled better I think in the Danish version. You know, more subtle and not that Hollywood-bombastic style.
YES! Keeps you guessing!
This is probably the lowest budget film I’ve ever seen (excluding what they’re paying Jake), yet it’s one of the most engaging.
said exact same thing while watching it lol, cost of computer, phone, desk
no it’s not. Boring af.
@@BanOF-ug6yq you must be 12
@@CodeNameCheese_ How very dumb of you going through life expecting everyone to have your same taste. People can have different opinions and this is not your private realm but public internet poor soul. 😂
he said in an interview, they shot this movie in 11 days
Broken people save broken people, wow this was such a good movie. 👍👍
This is a remake of the Danish movie ”The guilty”. A true masterpiece. Jake Gyllenhaal is the best at chosing the right movies. And another great abduction movie is ”The call” with Halle Berry, most exciting movie I’ve ever seen.
I was a public safety / 911 dispatcher for 21 years, and although "The Call" had problems, (as most movies do when it comes to police/fire/ems dispatching, which is a lot of boring routine interspersed with moments of high stress) I have to admit that when Abigail Breslin called her from the trunk of a moving car on a cheap "pay as you go" cell phone, I had an emotional response that surprised me. This movie looks like it would be pretty good, at least as far as suspense goes.
This looks like in the same vein as Buried (2010) and Phonebooth (2002). Both really thrilling movies.
Lmao
I thought it looked familiar
I think the name is Guilt but yeah I thought it's the remake after first shot, even the colouring is similar.
It's a remake of the excellent Danish thriller 'Den Skyldige'/The Guilty.
Jag trodde väl ja sett den här någonstans
that movie was amazing, excellent acting
Yes. I love that danish movie. What a twist at the end.
oh yeah exactly that was what i was looking for
Agree, I saw it!
this movie was heart wrenching, the trailer gives nothing and I'll leave it there. phenomenal acting.
bro this movie was absolut shit and waste of time
@@kied6604 lmaoo whyy
This movie is fantastic, Jake deserves an Oscar. He is phenomenal.
While you wait, please watch the original "The Guilty" by Gustav Möller (2018). Thank you
THIS.
And the foreign language thing helps with the chills better.
the moment he didn't hang up and realized it's a dangerous situation, I got goosebumps. Damn. It0s going to be amazing.
The movie is insane! Jake is so underrated.
Hes not underrated at all. But movie is so good
I think a lot of people share your opinion. He is most definitely underrated
Why is jake underrated who is an A ranked actor? But i know, its cool to use the word underrated
I just watched this movie.,Hell yeah, his acting is of another level.
From a cop on End of Watch, to a dispatcher, can’t wait to see Jake in this movie love when he’s in serious roles like this
plot twist. this is a continuation of End Of Watch. after the shoot out and death of his partner, Mike Zavala, Brian has strong bouts of PTSD. so they gave him a desk job 9-1-1 dispatcher.
The Danish original is PHENOMENAL! Let’s see how this is…
I enjoyed the original! lets see this one!
glad to see a positive comment here. unlike the toxic "see the original, this will suck" comments. The Danish one was amazing. Rooting for this one to be good too.
What's the Danish one's name?
@@ahmeteneren3478 "Den skyldige", its the same title but in danish ofc.
@@ahmeteneren3478 also "The Guilty"
Jake......wowwww. that was a superb acting right here. Mind blown on how amazing he is in this movie 10/10
An Absolutely amazing movie. I personally don’t tend to enjoy movies focused around a single character, but this one is phenomenal. An Oscar deserving acting. Thumbs up!
This is based on a danish movie The Guilty in 2018. If you liked this you should definitely watch the original it’s amazing
Jake Gyllenhal is a world class actor. End of Watch is an amazing movie, perhaps his finest.
Southpaw is amazing
I love, End of Watch. Awesome movie.
I never saw End of Watch before, I think I'll go see it now!
@@lavishlyvice You won't be disappointed.
You just gonna overlook Brokeback mountain huh masterpiece 🤣
"what are we looking for?"
"a white van"
"that's not enough..."
"COME ON!!"
I'm sorry Jake but seriously, it's not enough :/
HAHAHA exactly what i was thinking
Me too, but I would say it’s poor editing. Very poor.
If you know the street from which the call was made, isnt it though?
Imagine someone throwing a fit like that at work. Come on get a grip..
@@MrAyushRaj1 a white van is a pretty common vehicle in pretty much every neighbourhood. That's probably why it's not enough even though in this case it really should be
Jake is by far one of the best actors, I can't explain how much I like him, every movie he has played he did an amazing job, definetely my favourite actor together with Christian Bale
Great movie, Jack Gyllenhaal is definitely one of the best actors of all time,
Netflix presents: The Most Dramatic and High-Strung Police Dispatcher Ever
Ik, they’re not like this… not the ones I’ve met..
Holy shit I can't believe the feelings ive felt watching a movie about a man taking a 911 phone call. Jake is amazing.
Then go watch the original. Support foreign films.
Now this is the cinema!
This movie is outstanding, one of the best displays of raw acting talent I've seen in awhile. Truly incredible work.
