      It's not much trust me. Especially when you start factoring in all the costs. Tackle, rods, boat, fuel, could keep going too

      @@joe9743depends, you can make a lot if you get a good haul, some of these fish can sell for $2000 a pop, now idk if he’s ever gone for those species (that being tuna and the sorts) but if you do then you’re set. Personally if I ran a business like this I would also charter as you can make easily $800 per 3 hours, which is what a buddy of mine does except he charges $1000 per 4 hours if they catch fish, if not they go out the following day

      @@joe9743 well ideally you wont be buying tackle and rods each trip, where i am the seabass/black rockfish sell for like 5-7 bucks per pound. Bluefish I am unfamiliar with- must be a warmer water fish?

      @samurai_8917 yeah that's what I've heard a lot of people say. And that they're too slimy. Although I've also heard that they taste better than walleye if cooked right. I think a lot of bass fishermen just diss them for stealing lures.

    Unfortunately black sea bass are outlawed in my area but I was lucky enough to catch and release a 30 pounder near catalina island

      black sea bass are in the Atlantic and do not grow to 30pounds. Catalina island is in the pacific.

      Blue don't bring much money, should have moved on to more profitable fish. Don't know where he is fishing but he doesn't have a lot of experience. Also not a very good haul

    Less then a month ago Palantir leadership said they hadn’t figured out how to price AIP. So, I think it is being a little optimistic that Palantir will book profits on AIP as early as 3rd and 4th quarter. Right now it sounds like it could be freemium. I hope I am wrong.

    Sea bass used to be common in Southwest Florida 30 years ago then they disappeared I miss them tasty things but we treated our fish a lot better for eating

      I lived in south west fla we used to run off of Cayo costa and catch a few of these but only 1 out of 5 were slot. Lots a red grouper tho. Triple tail are coming back too

    I live in a community that butts up against lake Ontario. I perch fish all spring and summer and fall. I get anywhere from a 7 gallon bucket up to 10 gallon per day. I can make $100 a day. It actually takes me longer to sell them then to catch them.

    I didn't realize commercial fishermen use rod and reel to catch fish...and actually catch a huge mess.
    Commercial fishing means large nets and riggings to me

    When the blues move in switch to a bottom rig with bait, clam belly or squid is cheapest Green crab or fiddlers work great but not as cheap. Hope it helps

    Used to go with a buddy and his father when i was younger. We’d troll for bluefish. Would catch about 200-300. His father would sell them and have enough money to fill the boat up 😂

    As a kid I would always come home with a lot of fish. 15 years later there's almost none because fishermen overfish in the fjords. So I gotta but the "fresh" fish..

    We call bluefish , tailor here in Horsetrailier.
    Properly bled and remove the dark vein down the fillet and it's great eating very white fleshed fish.
    In the surf they'll bite on bare hooks when they're in a frenzy
