I recently went to a protest against the SOGI program that is operating in BC, Canada schools. (schools will socially transition kids without parental knowledge). A man who just lived in the area walked by and whispered "I want you to know I'm gay and we are not all for this! He was visibly emotionally upset. It meant a lot to me that he confided this, but at the same time it was really sad knowing he couldn't openly join in protesting.
I think Helen Joyce us the most sensible person on earth at this moment in time. Now that the Department of Education has a framework for transgender people would they please pass it on to prisons, the NHS, and every other government group that thinks the only difference between men and women is a dress and cosmetics

The Internet and development of various platforms enabled the proliferation, monetisation of the '10 seconds'of fame', the infamy/controversies, and the creation of 'influencers'. Sadly, many kids are unhealthily holed up in their bedrooms, gaming, streaming, etc, with many parents disinterested in what their children potentially have access to and who has access to them.

When a child starts or joins a school the parent/guardian/carer has to provided a birth certificate on that certificate it states clearly MALE or FEMALE and the childs name. This is very simple until that child comes of age and can make their own decisions that is who they are . No teacher or education facility should be put in this intolerable position. They need to be able to get back to the job of teaching core and legitimate subjects.

In California the state legislature just passed a law that teachers don’t have to inform parents if their children go by a different gender at school if they believe that “outing” a child puts him or her at risk of abuse. But there is no specification of a reason to believe they are at risk, so any teacher can make that claim.
I grew up in Australia and was in school in the sixties and seventies and don't recall any 'gender confused' children. They are being manufactured today.

He has a lot of trans identifying men as drag friends. He also has sort of AGP, although he is homosexual, not the usual kind of straight man who gets turned on by thinking of himself as female. He is a gay AGP man. To the point where he talks about his drag self in the third person. His drag name is Dixie. He talks about Dixie doing this and that, and Dixie getting paid to host drag nights, etc. I didn’t really understand it at first, but if he loves being AGP, it makes sense. He is literally in love with his drag self, to the point where he thinks that is a person who is separate from him. I really hope that his partner either digs having sex with Dixie, or isn’t forced to do so. I know his partner got told off once for saying that the bloke was brave for wearing his Dixie costume to the gym. He said, “You did really well, babe,” and was snapped at angrily with, “*Dixie* did really well.”

They are also still banging on about reforming the GRA to make it easier to get a GRC, and banging on about a 'trans-inclusive' conversion therapy ban. So, as much as I admire Helen's optimism and determination, I still don't think Labour understands this issue, and I still think they are listening to the lies and scaremongering of trans-activists.

In the United States, the Democratic Party has very very sadly decided that harmful gender ideologies should be 100% supported - to the vast detriment of the rights of women and girls to safety, privacy, and fair competition, but also to the detriment of children who become involved with these ideas - whether by peer pressure, school pressure, social media, or even "activist" parents. The drugs and surgeries are so incredibly profitable for pharma companies and specialists clinics (and in US healthcare profit is the primary goal) - that these groups are also supporting the transitions of children, who absolutely deserve care and concern, but not to be pressured into transition. In the US, these issues are either not discussed in public forums or only show up as conservative or religious concerns or talking points -- so liberals and progressives never hear "the other side of the story" and don't listen if presented with anything that goes against their belief system on this topic. It is beyond tragic. I was a lifelong liberal/progressive and will not be voting for any Democrat in the 2024 election, and possibly not at all.
Instead of getting polarised around transgender issues, which are directly relevant to the tiniest of minorities, the government needs to look at the issues that affect the day-to-day lives of the overwhelming majority of children in our schools. If compulsory showers in completely open changing rooms are not banned by law, they should be, in both state and private schools. Urinals in boys’ toilets should be banned, for reasons that should be obvious. Private parts should be exactly that; private.

I don't trust labour for a lot of reasons, but I do think that it's worth respecting that wes streeting/labour is actually pushing forward on solving this. It's easy to think because the conservatives talked about it more they were fixing the issue, when in a lot of ways they let the problem take root and fester so they had something to talk about (but not actually fix). This goes beyond left/right, it's that kind of polarisation which is stopping america from dealing with this issue, and for as dysfunctional the NHS has been made, we wouldn't have the Cass review if it weren't for our holistic/non-profit healthcare. I agree on everything with you but locker rooms are not necessarily safe just because it's only girls. Teenage girls can be pretty mean and locker rooms are perfect for bullying, I say this as a woman, bullied by women. Bullying among girls is always ignored and this is hurting many girls. We cannot ignore the fact that women are just as violent as men but it is psychological violence and its invisible. And it is just as damaging and it takes years of therapy, sometimes it even leads to suicide. So maybe we should also pay attention to bullying and raise our children according to that. Because I definitely didnt feel safe and didn't have any dignity growing up on single sex spaces.

I don't trust labour for a lot of reasons, but I do think that it's worth respecting that wes streeting/labour is actually pushing forward on solving this. It's easy to think because the conservatives talked about it more they were fixing the issue, when in a lot of ways they let the problem take root and fester so they had something to talk about (but not actually fix). This goes beyond left/right, it's that kind of polarisation which is stopping america from dealing with this issue, and for as dysfunctional the NHS has been made, we wouldn't have the Cass review if it weren't for our holistic/non-profit healthcare. The Cass review wouldn't be possible in the US where private companies and judges have more control over health policy than the people.

Also people don’t “own” language, especially the language other people use. This idea of gender being different to s3x? I only use biological language and do not use gender language. Unless it’s to identify male/female. Like dog/ bitch, bull/cow lion/lioness etc
I agree on everything with you but locker rooms are not necessarily safe just because it's only girls.
Teenage girls can be pretty mean and locker rooms are perfect for bullying, I say this as a woman, bullied by women.
Bullying among girls is always ignored and this is hurting many girls. We cannot ignore the fact that women are just as violent as men but it is psychological violence and its invisible.
And it is just as damaging and it takes years of therapy, sometimes it even leads to suicide.
So maybe we should also pay attention to bullying and raise our children according to that.
Because I definitely didnt feel safe and didn't have any dignity growing up on single sex spaces.
