No worries about the 3 vs 4 strands of hair! It made sense to me because it is a 4 strand braid. I love the way it turned out!

I bought this lovely dress and wanted to wear a nice hairstyle with it but any bun type of situation would have made it look soooo formal.
This style is pretty, shows that you put in effort with your hair but is easy going enough to not be over the top.

This style is beautiful. I have very fine hair and find that my braids and ponytails tend to look very thin and ratty because of it. Could you do a tutorial with tips and tricks for very fine hair?
I love this one! It's so romantic and very care free, and it seems to be quite easy to recreate - I'm definitely gonna find some ribbon so that I can try this hairstyle. BTW, I just cut off about 20-25 cm from my hair but I still hope that it'll be possible to pull off this braided ponytail anyway 😉

Can you do this look with just a simple 3 strand braid? 2 hair strand and the ribbon?
You can but the ribbon won't be centered in the braid.

What do you do to prepare the hair for braiding? My hair is not naturally that straight and I always have so many wispies escaping from the braid. It doesn’t happen when I braid other people’s hair and use water/gel/hair spray but mine is always fluffy after a few minutes unless I super gel it
I braid mine when wet. My hair is wavy/curly, so when I braid it dry it isn't smooth.
Kat Wolf thanks I do that sometimes but it does mean my hair won’t dry (it’s mid thigh length)
