Japan's Most Relaxing Buffet | Buffet Dining in Solitude in Sapporo

- Finally after all this time, I've found my most enjoyable and relaxing buffet in Japan and it happens to be right here in Sapporo. Why? Because there's lots of food and dishes, quality ingredients made to order, and most importantly, no time limit!
This is the buffet offered by Tsuruga. While there's no time limit on the restaurant's part, I have a self-imposed time limit as I was rushed to catch an overnight ferry. Still enjoyable? Absolutely!

Tim, you are one of the KINDEST people. Your videos are such a joy to watch - interesting places, great food and the people who make that all happen. Thank you for highlighting them.
Thank you so much for your kind comment. It is a lot of fun to get to visit and share in these places here. Thank you again 🙂
Agree 💯💯💯💯
Most people say "I hope you're doing well" but Tim actually means it when he says it.
🙏
Yes he does.
💯💯💯💯
I love the small tasting compartments. Just a bite of each, so you can try many things, without jamming it all together on a plate, and getting it mixed up.
And the unlimited time, because I'm an incredibly slow eater-- I love to really appreciate my food!
As always, a wonderful vid!
I like how Tim can be absolutely kind and amiable, such as toward restaurant staff, and then how he can be absolutely brutal such as toward the okra (“good riddance”) at 17:54 and the sweet potato dessert thing at 22:27 (shaking his head and emphatically saying “no”) hahaa
It's still hard to get used to the taste of okra.. 😉
He calls it like he sees it 😎😎
Japan here I come ! Thank you Tim for sharing your experiences with us especially with people who have not travelled and would love to travel to the places you have been. You are so polite, friendly , patient, kind…. and all the great qualities which have not gone unnoticed. Yay to your food and travel vlogs which I truly appreciate. Mahalo 👍🏼.
Same feelings 🌋
Thank you again and just grateful to get to visit and share these places. 🙏
💯💯💯🤙
Finally, a buffet without a time limit in Japan! I'm a slow eater, so I don't think I would be able to handle the one you went to with the 70 minute time limit. 😊 I hope you will share a video from your ferry ride. I've seen others, and the buffets they offer look really good.
Truth be told, a smile broke count when I saw the no time limit statement 😉
@@TimLeeLetsGo I bet! 😁
😂😂 I could only eat so much
Crane of paper 😂😂 Tim Lee, you are a joy to watch. I appreciate that you show us everything on the buffets, even if you don't choose the items, and your constant courtesy and honesty of expression is heartwarming. Thank you for taking us along, and I wish you well.
Ohh, cranes of paper…I have no idea what I’m saying sometimes 😂. Thank you so much 🙂
Japan is a magical country
Very enjoyable and very courteous! 🙂
Great concept. Relaxing atmosphere. Attractive variety of dishes. Now i just need a plane ticket.
I like the small portions, you get to try so much more that way. Thanks Tim for taking us along with you.
BUFFET👑 KING👑
Wow, what beautiful plates. What a perfect buffet for Japanese food lovers! A buffet - and yet quality over quantity!
It was quite a nice experience. I found that not having a large tray of food means that the plated dishes can have multiple components like an a la carte order. 😋
Love their setup. It's so organized and clean.
A nice buffet with no time limit. All those small dishes of food are wonderful. And a seafood pizza with shrimps and scallops is different. Nice desserts in small dishes too.
Thanks Min... It was quite a nice experience and I actually appreciated the little dishes over a large tray of food. Everything was very well put together 😋
I always enjoy your videos Tim, you are so kind and well mannered, your videos are enjoyable to watch because of your kindness. There needs to be more people like you in this world. The food as always looks immaculate there in Japan.
Hi Tim, another great video. I can only watch your videos when I’m not hungry lol.
I enjoy seeing all the different foods they have available. :)
Tim, congrats on 100K subs! Love all your videos, and here's to hitting 500k!!!
🎉💯💯💯
Thank you Tim, your poise and politeness always makes me feel great 😃❤
Thank you so much for your kind comment 🙂
Congrats on reaching 100K...well deserved. I've noticed that you have been traveling more now, will you be traveling and vlogging full time in the near future?
Tim, that was a nice buffet. Too bad you had to rush to catch the ferry. I hope you return there some day so you can really relax to enjoy your meal. I spend lots of time chewing my food to savor it so this place is a winner! Looking forward to your ferry ride video. 🤗❤️😘
It was quite enjoyable and the little dishes made it quite fun and tasty ...each item was like a unique a la carte dish 😋
I live in Sapporo, but I've never been here before. You really opened my eyes. 👍✨
So glad this time it was unlimited time! (even though it was time restricted for you).
I love that I can live life through your eyes ! Thank you so much for the traveling and amazing eats n sights ❤ ( I will never forget your favorite salad lol)
Potatoes count as a vegetable right? 😉. Thank you so much 🙂
This is a wonderful way to serve food……one if not “the” favorite of buffets…..
It's quite nice because of dishes your small and they are composed of many different components 🙂
Hi Tim...another great buffet...this buffet was so pristine and beautiful...all the food was beautifully prepared...safe travels and God Bless...have fun on your boat ride 😊...😘🤗❤
Thank you Jade. Really love the attention to detail paid on all those little dishes 😋
wow another great buffet in Japan and again love the little serving dishes for every offering its like an amuse-bouche buffet
I actually ended up preferring the little dishes as well. Each one was quite nice as it's not just one type of food, they put quite a few items per dish that tastes great together 😋
OMG!!! I just noticed!!!!
CONGRATS ON 100K!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
GREAT BUFFET LOVE THE LITTLE PLATES
It was a very good experience. Each little dish was like its own unique a la carte item
Congrats on the big number. Thank you for your beautiful work.
Thank you Tim for your videos. Watching for the 3rd time now. 😂 Your videos are always so relaxing.
Thank you Tim for always taking us on your journey. I adore your content as you are such a respectful Genuinely nice person wherever you go and how you treat servers. Shows us the beautiful heart and nature you have. Bless you❤❤

I love how delicious was the buffet food and my whole family enjoyed the experience with you Tim!
😎👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you for sharing your experiences during hot summer day. Take care yourself.
Amazing the dishes dont slide on the tray! Cool!
That looked simply wonderful and very reasonably priced. I like the small portions too.
I love your videos. You are such a chill person.
Thank you so much 🙂
I like the tray idea and small plates.
Everything looks delicious.
I like it too! Each dish is well prepared with a few components...very different than the traditional self serve from a platter 😀
The food looked yummy!! And the no time limit is even better!! 🤣🤣
I think that I would prefer this buffet to the other ones as I like to take my time to eat and enjoy the food!
Thank you Tim!! 🤓🤓
Also having the individual dishes were quite a nice treat as there were many components plated together...😋
@@TimLeeLetsGo thank you Tim for taking the time to individually respond to all your comments!!! You are awesome!! 🙌🙌
I don't usually like watching people eat but you are great. I'm trying to think if I've ever had a Japanese buffet. I've had all-you-can-eat, where you order from a list. I've also had sushi off a conveyor belt "river". There used to be one on Davie St in Vancouver but it's closed down. Also used to be one in Coquitlam and in Metrotown called Sui Sha Ya (?). Both gone now too. I miss them. My Dad took my kids and me to the one downtown and it was so much fun for the kids. My Dad asked the chef for my daughter's favourite, ikura, but every time it came around someone else would grab it! The chef finally just handed it to her.
It’s absolutely wonderful that great memories are shared eating together😀
I watch a lot of Japanese ferry vlogs and what they eat during their trips. Hope you have fun on you ferry travel. 👍
Thank you so much, I would highly recommend travel by ferry. Really relaxing but a little bit longer...
Congratulations on 100k!!
This place looked very relaxed and the food looked yummy!
Congrats again! I think I started watching you when you barely had 3k.Glad that I stuck around 😊
Love your uploads
Just thought of your Channel and boom a new upload
Thank you so much for all your support 🙂
full watching..Enjoy ur meal...😋👍
Oh that looked relaxing!
And it shows!
Ty Tim
Warabi mochi is so sublime...I can eat it every day!
Great buffet of different types of food , unlimited time like it should be. Have a great trip on the ferry!
I love the lightly fried foods it takes on any sauce flavor
Agreed😋
The steak, fish and beef look good.
Really love watching your videos Tim!! You've been sitting up lots of amazing buffets :)
I love that the dishes are one bitters! Tasting a little bit of everything!! 🥰
I was supposed to visit Japan this Christmas but ill health has postponed it until Christmas 2024. I'd love this place!
I'm still catching up on videos I've missed over the past few months, but let me say that you're enjoyable to watch; no airs, just down to earth.
If you ever visit authentic Chinese restaurants in Toronto, I'd love to tag along with you. I used to go every week when I lived there. My last visit to Toronto had me perplexed because my favourite restaurants had all disappeared 😢
I hope you’re keeping well and glad to hear you’re going to visit Japan a little later. Yeah, it is unfortunate that a lot of restaurants that close down, but it’s nice to see things picking up again.😀
What a nice buffet, everything looks fresh and delicious and the price is so reasonable. As a single person I liked your seat, it was private and had a pretty view of outside. And the best part was----no time limit, you didn't feel under the gun and have to go like crazy to eat, so much better for the digestion.
There was a sense of privacy at those tables, and they also have private rooms where large parties can eat together. Very enjoyable and appreciate being able to take the time to enjoy the food 😋
Very reasonably priced and the selection is great. I always think of Japan as being very expensive, but this is an incredible buffet for 35.00. And nice that you can relax and eat slowly.
Very affordable indeed! And all the little restaurants on the street are quite amazing as well 😋
Yes, that's only about £28 in sterling. I have paid that much in a restaurant for ONE course - and that is not in one of our big cities.
@@alyswilliams9571 I could get my money's worth on the sushi and tempura alone. Lovey space.
This is way better than greasy messy buffet I would love to enjoy meal just like that!
I can certainly get used to this style of buffet 😋
everything was so beautifully presented. ptiently enjoying your meal. thank you
Congrats on 100K What an awesome vacation hope you aren't working but if you are what a beautiful place to be
I love this!!! you play tetris and get a wonderful meal at the same time!!
Awwww this buffet is adorable! Looks so peaceful in there!! 😊😊😊
Nice video keep it up there's a hidden item on the menu of all your videos which u are eating quite well: Xing's lunch 😁
The $35 buffet is amazing, can you imagine the cost of that buffet in Vegas?
Enjoy your content 😊 Congrats on 100k! 🎉
Thank you for another great video. Enjoy all of them.
Thank you so much for your kind comment 🙂
finally a restaurant where I can have my breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper in one shot
I love your videos!!! I try not to miss them ❤
Thank you so much for your kind comment 🙏
On the first round everything looked good and fitted nicely on the tray Tim.😊
Such cute little dishes
The little dishes are quite enjoyable and I actually quite prefer them. So many components and details in each dish, and very tasty 😋
Warabi mochi in Japan is a must-eat!!
Japanese foods really interest me to visit there some day and would really enjoy my day there ,its life and people and overall feeling its way of life .
This was definitely a very nice experience 🙂
Thank you, Tim. Now subscribed! 🍻🍻
To the person reading this, even though I don't know you. I wish you the best of what life has to offer 🙏 😊❤
So worth it, unlimited time is crazy
It's great to have great food at your own pace 😁
Another yummy video Tim! Thank you!
Thank you, it was nice and relaxing as well 😋
Love your videos! My bestie and I watch them the second they come out ❤
Next time you’re in Vegas, could you do the breakfast buffet at the M resort? The one at the steak house. It’s reservation only, but apparently amazing!
Thank you so much! Would love to visit Vegas soon and thank you for the suggestion😋
@@TimLeeLetsGo We’re always happy to see anything you post. Congrats on 100K! Been a viewer for about a year & just adore your content Tim.
Oh, fair warning on the buffet: It’s Sunday morning only.
Again, congratulations on all of your very well deserved success!
That looks like burgundy wine. I would love a glass of that right now. The food looks beautiful. I'd have taken more little containers of that beef. (Also, I like okra, especially in gumbo.)
My wife and I have been to Japan 20+ times in the last 15 years and have not had a buffet (other than at our hotels) but after watching your video it is time to try one.
It sounds such an amazing experience to go to Japan so often. Really beautiful country. The buffets are quite a fun experience as well.😀
@@TimLeeLetsGo First time I went was by myself back in college and have traveled up and down Japan extensively with my wife/family during cherry blossom season. We’ve also been to most of the major summer firework festivals several times. When it comes to choosing where to spend our hard earn dollars, Japan/Asia is our #1 choice.
This is a great video. Thanks
Thank you so much 🙂
Miss you being in Vancouver/Richmond. Loved your videos of what’s here where I love.
Happy travels
Just back in Vancouver and certainly enjoying the summer.. no more vacation time😉
@@TimLeeLetsGo Look forward to exploring more Vancouver gems with you.
Congratulations Mr.. Tim @TimLeeLetsGo on 100k subs. Keep up the good work and vids. We really enjoy your sharing.
Nice to see you found a buffet that did not rush you. Everything looked so pretty. I really enjoy that when you do not like something you say so. I like okra but only in soups, it cooks down and is like green beans. I really don't like green bell peppers. Not fond of shellfish. Enjoy your ferry trip. Best wishes from Corvallis Oregon.
Thank you so much.. yeah, okra has an interesting texture that I haven't been accustomed to. My good friend Albert can't stand green peppers either.. we bug him about that 😉
Another great video
Thank you so much 🙂
TFS this elegant buffet Tim. I will definitely try this buffet, what a coincidence planning to do Sapporo, the varieties are good for the value of price and relaxing no time limit. Love all dishes shown, really good varieties...👏excellent find👍😄 Enjoy the rest of your trip in Japan. I would eat a few more of those steaks n tempura, btw okra is popular veges for them..😅
I want to go to Japan and trace your food steps!!! Thanks Tim.
My journey was more of a random walk. Hope you get a chance to visit Japan. And no matter where you go, it’s a pretty fun and exciting experience😀
I love okra. It a big thing here in the southern part of the states
This looks wonderful - I love tempura so much! I can make it - just cant get the dipping sauce here! So annoying. Keep up the great work Tim. I watch your videos before I go to bed as they give me 'happy mind' - after all the upsetting youtube videos I watch in the night! Thank you xxxx
Looks so yummy! Tim, which do you prefer? Buffet with the food already in tiny dishes or do you prefer to be able to scoop the food onto your plate?
I have found my perfect restaurant
Continue to enjoy your time in Japan Tim
Thank you so much 🙂
Well done 👏
Howdy Tim Lee I’m glad buffet timeless you relax take times choose foods you want , Japanese food always portion jamming yummy & delicious foods ❤🙏🏼🌹
Tim, restful dinner. Best
It's nice not to have to rush through dinner 🙂
Hi tim great video not sure if I'm a fan of compartment portions of food curious if the food was hot?? No deli's in japan?😅 thanks for sharing be safe

If you do make a visit, I would highly recommend this place. I'm actually enjoying the mini-plated dishes. Very refined.. I think 😋
I look forward to your posts!
Thank you so much for your support 🙂
😂 They got you w the okra AND the candied sweet potato!
Yeah, I did not intend on taking the okra knowingly 😉
Fabulous
🙂
at 9:43 - that scalloped looked really stringy. but you make everything look and taste perfect. 😊
Nice , Tim. I don't think I could ever pass up creme brulee, however.
It was a tough decision 😉
That was so amazing. I think I'm turning Japanese 😅
That reminds me of a song 🤔😉
