So we just going to ignore the fact mikey just killed 4 bowls of ramen in one sitting with a dish of gyozas and walked away like it was a regular day walk in the park.
I went to a basement bar in Tokyo called Shinjuku Cactus that was run by a middle aged guy named Kenty who played glam rock the whole time we were there. The walls were covered in posters for similar bands. It was a trip.
Me - 3 bowls of ramen, so that's breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Mikey - ohkay, 4 down for breakfast. 1 for snack. 3 + dumplings for lunch. Buffet for dinner. Midnight snack.
Since I've been home because I was furloughed from my job, I've been planning out the trips I would take to Japan and I've been brushing up on my Japanese. I was able to read signs around the festival. Definitely on my bucket list!

Hi Mike! I just wanna explain about the braised pork in Sapporo. In Japan, traditionally we use lean meat for Braised pork. Moreover, in Sapporo, for Sapporo Ramen, they use it more often than other Ramen in Japan because of the heavy flavor of the soup, they use lean meat to balance out, especially when they put butter into ramen, it's better with lean ones' if it's also fatty pork, it's gonna be too heavy...
I have a bad relationship with food, and I wish I loved it as much as Mike. He looks forward to it every day, and he explores it. That is rad to me. I used to have an ED, so I live through his eating, and it is satisfying. It makes me want to try new foods as well.

The problem with having 17 Ramen shops is simple: You have to pick one and it becomes paralysis through analysis. You end up with 1 amazing bowl of ramen but end up with 16 regrets.

Visited Sapporo for three days during this year's snow festival and I ate six bowls of ramen during my three days of stay there. Thrice in Ramen Alley and thrice in other ramen places nearby. I even lined up for one hour just to eat at Ramen Shingen at 11PM. Sapporo has the Best Ramen I have ever tasted so far in my entire life. Thank you very much Mikey for the video.
This is so cool, I did a presentation about the Sapporo Winter Festival for my Japanese class before quarantine and one of the main points I loved talking about was the food that they have. I saw your King Crab video and got excited because one of those dishes was what I talked about in my class!
