If you got him this then he should be pretty happy, I ended up putting it front and center on the Marvel movie shelf.
Picked-up the mark 42 because the sculpt is supposedly compatible with Tony's head. Do not regret picking-up 42. Looks so nice.
People keep telling me that, if I don't like the figma MK42 I'll have to backtrack and grab the SHF.

with Robo's chant, hopefully they can announce Scarlet Witch soon...along with Vision, Winter Soldier, Nick Fury, Maria Hill XD~ shi we need the whole gang... a Thor remake with Digital Printing technology in the future would be great too maybe for Thor Ragnorak~
Eric Su We definitely do need the whole gang. I can see them waiting a little while before Vision and Scarlet Witch, let them get more screen time, and hopefully Thor when the new movie comes around, but I am completely baffled why Bandai hasn't done a Winter Soldier/Bucky yet.

Compact review! His beard is exactly like that in the movie. I don't think the iron fists were meant to put on that human arm. Btw the mark 42 was just reteleased by BANDAI
So many Iron Mans I can't keep track, haha. I think I may have passed on the SHF 42 because I have the figma 42 on pre-order, but like I said, so many out there. And thanks for the beard info, I can't quit thinking about it now.

I did. I actually did it twice, edited the one I caught out but completely missed the other. I was thinking the actress and how she may have a bad attitude sometimes. You know, that Scarlett witch. That or I'm dumb.

Yeah, I doubt anyone is going to beat this Tony. Although I'd like to see what Legends can do with their photo real tech.
Been more tempted by this than I thought I would be. It's incredibly cool. And you know, I think the Marvel Cinematic universe owes a TON to Robert Downey Jr.. He's been the main catalyst to the attitude achieved throughout, and what the movie going public has ultimately latched onto as a whole. Getting a figure of him is almost like a thank you.
I can agree with that, he definitely set the bar that other actors need to strive to match. He IS Tony Stark, or rather, Tony Stark IS RDJ. Makes this figure even more awesome.

Yes indeed, Tony "seems short" and he SHOULD seem short, because Robert D jr is only about 5'7-5'8!!! So PERFECT 1/12 scale here!!! Thanks to sh figuarts. We got to mix various lines to get the scaleing correct or at least get it good, the individual companies won't do it fot us.
I'd cancelled this preorder when I saw headswaps with the armored figures wasn't perfectly viable, but now I'm kicking myself cause it looks so good on its own. Gotta grab it before the price gets too crazy. Btw, your posing is awesome, great stuff
Dude, someone linked me to your Revo Deadpool pics and the way you pose, I'll take that as a huge compliment. Your posing is amazing! But yeah, with the stand I'll probably have Stark on top by himself some my very minor size quibbles won't be noticeable in the display.
Thanks man, glad you enjoyed them. I'll probably do the same with Tony, isolate him and the extra armors while having my favorite armor among my Avengers setup.

This is still my main display piece, I love this thing.
I think it would be awesome if Bandai made all the Iron man suits as model kits,so we could have a Hall of Armour display. Great review and looking forward to your review of the S.H. Qui-Gon later this month.
Model kits would be awesome. Cheaper to buy, cheap for them to produce, fun to build, they could pump out a lot of different versions, everyone is happy. And SHF EPII Obi-Wan comes out this month, Qui-Gon hasn't been announced yet. But when I read it I thought it had and I got excited only to remember that it hasn't. Awww.
I was so close to going down this rabbit hole. Stopped my self. I already collect SH Fig Star Wars and MP Transformers.
I try to keep the Marvel down to just the major players or my favorites. I skipped War Machine and a bunch of Iron Mans because yeah, don't need a hall of armor. But I can't pass when there is a human head. Too beautiful.

Totally worth it. When I ordered it I didn't think too much about getting just a dude with some metal limbs but in-person it's a cocky little figure. So Starky. He's front and center on my Marvel movie shelf.
His facial hair is on point. And I found out that when you.change the legs at any point it is a pain to get it exactly back to being even. You don't want to push too hard and break it but you have to in a way..if that makes sense
That makes complete sense. I haven't changed them out again since putting him on the shelf.

And both of those figures are worth the wait, definitely. Deadpool especially.
Best display is the Mark 1 through 7 in the Armor boxes, with Tony Stark in the middle. If you really want to dress it up get the lighted holo desk from Toyzbox. Note the Mark VII and Mark I are not yet released. Although if you have the revoltech Mk I it is an acceptable stand in.

An Amazon seller have me a knockoff. The pack was just the figure in his plastic shell, with the cardboard box flattened and came with the packaging, and I did order a new version. Tony's head was warped, looked like it was sagging to one side. Fortunately I got my money back.

Haha, from your keyboard to Bandai's screen! And no, I had the Saiyan Pod on pre-order but to ship it from overseas cost more than the kit itself cost. Insane. I gotta keep some kind of standard so I'll wait until it comes into stock domestically. Sucks for timing when it comes to review but sooooo many imports these days and only so much money.

Nice review, but I think the background music could be executed better. Pick something more mellow, and turn it up a bit. Not an awful idea though.

Tough one, changes day to day. But if there were a gun to my head I'd have to go with Darth Maul. Just an amazing representation shrunk down to 6 inch form. The new Tony Stark comes in second.

That's just super cool... i love tony stark mainly because how Robert Downey jr. played him in movie, sooo much charisma, just the best attitude :) so once they announced prototype i've know that this one will ends in my collection, and seeing it turned out this good... i'm even more excited.. :) about paint scratch... well world doesn't ends... you can always pretend it's been damaged during his first tests even in the movie - assembly went wrong :) not big deal.. if it's not a scratch on face, it's still good ;) hehehe... ps: did anyone tried to switch his heads with mark45 / 46 ?
Pabs already warned me that the pegs and holes in the Stark head and Iron Man bodies don't fit so I didn't even give it a try. And yeah, I'm not too worried about scratches, that armor went through hell that whole movie. But I agree with you completely, RDJ made Stark his won and now I can't imagine even the comic version being different. MAde getting this figure even sweeter.

I hope bandai will release mark 39, the starboost, because comicave studio jsut announced that they are discontinuing development of their 1/12 die cast version due to cost inefficiency. Bit of sad news :/ If bandai doesnt relese him, it will be a shame.
I saw that. I have to think it's a fine line on producing so many Iron Man armors, especially background ones like Starboost.
figuree-wise starboost has the smallest representation. I think alot of people would be itnterested in 1/12 starboost as it would fine just with with both figma and figuarts. I personally wanted to buy him, even though I am not that big a fan of iron man in general. Its just this design thats eye catching and fairly uniqe.
Verithiell Oh, I hear ya, I have nothing against Starboost and the rest. I was just saying that I think the market gets smaller incrementally each step they take away from the more popular armors like 3, 7, or 42.

Y'know, I don't think there is. And I may have said it in a video somewhere but they are losing money by not doing model kits for Iron Man. Cheap to produce and with as awesome as the figure models are Bandai would just be raking the money in.

Plus as popular as Iron Man is overseas you would think they would release as many as possible. Look at how many different Hot Toys Iron Mans there are. And yeah, more broke, but models are cheaper the Figuarts, haha.

Definitely worth the pickup....perfect Tony starks. ..especially if you have multiple iron man figs. Personally I think his perfect in terms of overall size/scale. I wanted to get the black panther but I can't see myself paying almost 100 for that fig. really like that fig. But I refuse to pay more than 60-70, which in my opinion, it should be 45-55...as always great review 🐹 🐭 🐱
