With that being said, I've received a handful of comments asking me to cover more about Madden Mobile. Would you guys be interested in hearing my story of the community? I used to run an Instagram account for Madden Mobile (I had 13K followers at my peak; I was a custom card creator), and I was one of the OG's in the community (I joined December 2014). I have stories from so many different parts of Madden Mobile and the community, from knowing MMG and other big youtubers/accounts, to how it affected me personally and gave me a love for graphic design... and everything in-between. I'll never forget being on the school bus in the morning grinding out my daily challenges in the old madden mobiles. That 1 million coin quicksell set definitely gave kid me a crippling gambling addiction though lol
I think Madden Mobile’s quicksells gave us a prelude to the Supreme Court overturning illegal Sports betting. Seems like most dudes I know that played Madden Mobile turned to sports betting after its downfall.
Awesome video man. The Madden Mobile community was always the thing that made the game as fun as it was. Taking out h2h game modes and the auction house made playing the game a more isolated experience. Classic EA, making one of the greatest mobile games ever and then ruining it with their greedy tendencies.
@@sufy0712 i appreciate it! and i 1000% agree, the games feel so lonely without the auction house. it’s truly a shame that they ruined such an amazing game, i honestly believe if they just (basically) re-dropped mm15/16 but with updated rosters the games would become 100x more popular overnight.
Madden Mobile feels so dystopian. Everything is inflated to make it seem so much bigger and better, when that's just the hollow shell what it's trying to grasp itself being. I miss MM16 so much too, one distinct memory younger was pulling some sort of Aaron Rodgers Road To the Playoffs card... I think, I can't find it online but I think that's what it was. Great video! EA had the mobile gaming community in the palm of its hands. I wish I could expierence that feeling of playing the game again. Nothing was better than playing madden mobile at lunch with your friends in school. Miss the days
Man, this vid is a banger. Another aspect that made MM15/16 so great was the UA-cam community too. Guys like MMG, Slay, Ducky getting 100K+ subs from solely MM content in the 2016 YT era is crazy to look back on. My first 50 vids on this channel are pretty much all MM pack openings and shopping sprees trying to be like those guys - hype intro, trap instrumentals, high energy voiceover etc. Miss those times! Again, awesome vid.

As a former creator of Madden Mobile content, this brings back a lot of memories. Man, I really do miss playing this game and making content on it. I played it longer than most people, I stopped playing and making constant content towards the end of 22. I keep praying that one year they'll just do a revamp of MM15-16. I've been saying for a long time, they needed to change things up to keep players engaged, I get that part. But, they didn't do it in the right way. It's been long enough, there's been enough advancements, they could totally bring it back in its simple form and it would work. Fantastic video man, I've thought about doing something like this but you did it much better than I ever would have. Hats off :)
To me, they really missed their opportunity in MM22 to do something meaningful. They were rebuilding the whole game from scratch and decided to double down on the restricted AH by removing it all together and making it a total gacha game.

i really appreciate it man. this game was a huge part of my life for a long time, and i made some core memories from it. this game developed my love for graphic design/content creation, so i wanted to make it right. i knew there were countless others like me who grew up with and loved this game just as much as i did, and i wanted to make sure that the golden years of madden mobile got the love and justice they deserved, because whatever EA is calling "Madden Mobile" nowadays is just pure garbage. it still boggles my mind how badly they fumbled this game.
@@veryBerryTV with that in mind i'm surprised you didn't go more in depth about the death of card making ngl. from overdrive on it was almost as if they were actively killing the community by making the templates more and more complicated and therefore way harder for new designers to join the community

Madden Mobile was one of those games that helped me make new friends in high school, it's the game that got me invested in real life football now as a 23 year old nearly a decade later. I'll never forget being in physics class comparing teams with this other kid Damien, and we'd always compete to see who had a better team. Damien if you're out there, miss ya bud, hope you're big chillin and still rooting for the Packers!

appreciate the support man, and yeah its crazy how hard this games fallen off. i was there during MM's prime days and saw it all firsthand, it's so sad how much its taken a hit over the years. from the price caps, removal of the auction house, inflated overalls, lack of creativity for promos, pack caps, not having all the rosters in the game.. whatever it may be, it feels like it's all gotten worse year by year. it sucks that EA just doesn't even care at all.

Wonderful video, definitely leaving on my favorites. When my 21 y/o self had to wake up at 5 AM and play some MM16 before taking a shower and going to the uni, and then come back home, do homework and play more MM16 while being F2P, I miss those days. And I absolutely forgot about Draft Champions from 18, I absolutely loved that mode with all my heart because I literally screamed internally whenever I get goat cards at the final rounds. 😢 PS: I’m glad I quit the game during the start of 20, before 21.

For the last like 4 years now I’ve downloaded madden mobile when it updated checked the game and deleted it within 24 hours just hoping that the game i loved would come back but it hasn’t 😢

Glad there’s finally a video talking about this game’s drop off. I still remember sitting on the bus getting into bidding wars in the auction house in MM17. The experience of the pre Overdrive games was unmatched, and I miss it.
yeah man this game was truly amazing before overdrive. I wasn't a huge fan of MM18 when it was out but if i knew about the 400+ overall cards that we're on the horizon I would've played it even more. But yeah man, I miss MM15-18 too. Sad to see what EA ruined.

i wish i got to play MM25 man, i heard nothing but great things about it (even though it didn’t have a ton of promos and features from what i saw), it still seemded like an amazing game. 15 & 16 tho man… what great games and great times. its truly a shame how bad ea fumbled a gem of a game
Nice video, I was in high school during the games peak and spent all day playing it, so people would constantly ask me to show them my team. Fun times, Domination Gronk caught everything.
I remember for Christmas a decade ago at this point. I got a tablet with a bunch of downloaded games already on it. Madden mobile 14 was one of the pre downloaded games. I loved the franchise and head to head modes. The game got me into the NFL and made me a Falcons fan. I took a break during 16 because my tablet broke and I forgot about it, but I returned to 18 (which in my opinion is when franchise was the most fun.) and still loved the game. I absolutely hated what overdrive did getting rid of franchise and auctions. I've tried getting back into Madden mobile but the game really feels like a shell of itself.

I remember that me and my dad would play this game a ton back in 2015. The game was so addicting that my dad was on the #1 league in the world, and legit spent like 4-6 hours each day playing. I miss the golden age.
The one thing that I hate with a fire passion, is that the sets over time become so hard to do for one card, it’s like you either sacrifice your entire binder for one card or have an binder of mid cards, and for ultimate team in general, theirs no like free grind for a great card, only for mid cards. I think if they had the program feature that MLB the show has for it’s mode, then ultimate team would be actually decent. So many EA scams everywhere in all their games. I remember that it took me 4 years to find the sets option because it feels like everything is hidden in the game hud.
Sensational video. I had last played Mobile in 15-16 in college and had no idea how good I had it. Downloaded last year’s and it was unrecognizable from what I remembered. As a NMS player, it is functionally impossible to replicate the grind and fun I used to have.
This is such a trip. I used to make madden mobile videos lmao. Create custom cards. Made so many friends that I talked to for years following quitting the game. The community was so dope. Unlike any game i’ve ever experienced before. I remember packing the ultimate legend calvin johnson in mm15 and being so hyped about it i posted it on instagram lol. I remember being so pissed i missed the Kam Chancellor glitch lmfao. The sets were sick. Even the trophies. The community. They hype around it. EA completely killed this game the moment they removed the auction house and expanded OVR to 100+. Great video. Appreciate the thorough research and touching on the instagram community. The pictures of the card arts by year is super nostalgic. Promos and programs I completely forgot about that I now recall grinding weeks for. Did the game more justice than EA deserves. One of my favorites things was custom building teams. I am a huge Alabama fan so I always tried to build an Alabama only team. That team today would be SUPER competitive but its no longer possible.

Very underrated video thanks for this ! I started replaying Madden 25 in 2025 and my first experience was during madden 15 . Gotta say it’s definitely not what I expected
I'm brazilian and I played for every top ranked brazilian league. It was so fun to count the points, wait till the final minutes to see you needed a FG or TD. I still have the pages keeping the score of every league player through out the week to see who would be send to the lowers leagues. What started to kill the game to me was the addition of schemes, making that not only you had to get good players, they had to be specific to the team. After that, it was the overalls. I stopped when it passed 125. Cards didn't mean anything any more. But I keep the good memories. cj prosise was my favorite hb, bryan hoyer was my first ever qb. Controling the lolb to get sacks. The plays I loved and were removed after each season... It was great while it lasted.
Don't know if we talking about the same thing here, but personally used to like to play those player vs. player games were both played their offensive drives. And every once in awhile you would run into a player who just spammed the same play over and over again, but back in the day you had a solution for that. As you could see the playes the opposing team had run and then on defense block one or maybe on later levels even 2 of their specific plays. And oh boy would have I loved to see my opponents face who were used to spamming the same play for TDs suddenly go 3 and out etc. 😂 But then they changed the game so that you needed to collect some really weak defensive scheme or whatever cards to improve your defense and those one play spammers just dominated. That is when I quit the game for good. 😢

Awesome video hope it blows up! I really loved playing madden 18 and 20 the most they had the best gameplay imo so it made it a lot easier to grind all the live events and challenges while still having fun. I remember when they came out with H2H ranked and i was a top 100 player for months until the next game came out and killed all hopes for me.

madden mobile 15 was my favorite of them all, great game. 19 was awful, i hated it too. but yeah, no auction house is insane to me and i don't think they'll ever add it back. they care that much about people selling coins
@veryBerryTV I love the fact that people buy coins specifically because of the greedy practices EA participates in and yet EA is too shortsighted to realize that people would spend that money directly with them if they'd loosen their greedy mitts.
Recently MMG posted a video answering people"s questions about the new College Football 25 game, and one thing he said is that with all the hype that game is getting after an 11 year hiatus, EA is putting a lot of effort into the game to make it really fun to play, which is expected to raise the standards for their Madden 25 release, especially since the CFB team and Madden team are close collaborators As someone who has fond memories of playing a lot of Madden Mobile during the 17 and 18 years, I am hoping that Madden Mobile 25 is also upgraded to make up for all the neglect the game has suffered from. Also since EA's most common criticism is for being too greedy and releasing the same game every year for easy billions instead of evolving, I hope this can have a ripple effect on the rest of the company, with CFB 25 being the spark they needed
MM15-18 were my entire childhood man. I remember grinding 24/7 as a kid, falling in love with football, and watching MMG all the time. They could literally just put Madden 16 mobile back on the App Store with modern players and it would be the top selling mobile game. I miss old Madden mobile so bad, I’d do anything to go back to these days man.

Some memories from past Madden Mobile seasons: MM15: When that 96 Clay Matthews and Delanie Walker Final Editions were like 40-50k to buy until the season ended, those cards are budget beasts, instead of being used as a set piece on the 99 Joe Haden. MM16: When EA put out a set that let you turn 3 MVP or Captains to Position Heroes, i turned 3 90-91 Captains into a 99 Kawann Short Position Hero. Also tried my luck at the Final Edition using 5 gold trophies and pulled the 96 (97 on console) Terron Armstead MM17: When i was able to build 99 Jordan Reed, T.Y. Hilton, Haloti Ngata and Brian Cushing then selling one version of the Unsung Hero. That program that gave cards to non-playoff teams (or in case of teams that went 9-7, the ones that went to the 2017 playoffs). Then the sudden introduction of NFL Bosses, which gave supercharged versions of players that were dominant in their career and on a team in the 2016 season. MM18: 129 OVR defense, and the only affordable DTs that were able to do a top defense were the mover ones.
Would love for you to cover the competitive side of the game. Shit was wild, the #1 league in 15 and 16 was just one guy who was a cookie salesman but was hacking to make sure hed win by a few points during the last minutes of the match. Each top league would make alt accounts to make alt leagues to snipe other top leagues. Was a member of multiple top 10 leagues (including the number 1 league for 17, 18, and overdrive) if you have any questions lmk!
might have to look into that, i was in a top 25 league for a while in mm15/16, but i didn't know about the #1 guy lmao. i might have to take you up on that tho!
I remember me and my dad always played together when I was 12, he made a league with his work buddies and we grinded and got the 99ovr Tom Brady and the 99 Emmitt smith, and I believe we were in the top 100 leagues in the world. Some of the best memories with my dad was with MM16-17
for me being able to use the team of a bunch of different players in a normal regular season was my favorite thing and i was so dissapointed when they removed the ability to do that

If they made the game how it was in 15,16 or 17 they would have so many players it’s not even funny, bring back the auction house, bring back the old gameplay. Glad I saw this video bro! I remember I was in 9th grade during MM15 selling coins on Instagram with a few thousand Subs and Insta followers. Definitely sucks EA botched it.
Remember when it was a game on Facebook and was just simulation. It played that like crazy and then when the first Madden mobile came out it was something else. The first few years were amazing, and then it slowly started to fall apart and got more and more monetized and less player friendly.
Aw man 😢 I miss it so much. Madden 25 Super Bowl player sets that took you months and months to complete. The ring sets. Auction house. Setting your fav presets and refreshing every second to try and snag a buy now deal. Don’t even get me started on the gameplay.. grabbing TOTW 86 Derrick Henry and completely running over everyone. I’m gonna cry, I have to stop.
I quit the game for several years in 2018. I remember back to 2015 and 2016 (in my estimation, two of the best versions of the game) and the US map full of live events and collections that went throughout the year with fun stack boosts and most importantly, large events and themes that you really looked forward to. Christmas, thanksgiving, frozen, halloween, 4th of july, draft, all of them were fun and I looked forward to them when they were on the horizon. To think about what little content Madden 25 offers is maddening..
Aww man, now I've been reminded of how much fun Draft Champions was. I used to do draft simulations (I think Muthead had one) just because of how fun the drafting process alone was. Now, even that hasn't existed for 5+ years as far as I know.
I remember every card with a speed team bonus would be absolutely lit. There was a Dre Archer silver card that was worth bank because of that. I pulled a Chris Johnson Pro Bowl 99 overall with +2 speed bonus and sold it off the market for $250 because it went for more than max coin. What an insane time.
I want to say this when I was growing up and playing mobile the game up until 21 was pretty great. I wasn’t into the community for real. I didn’t even know about budget squads or anything like that, but I played the game, I grinded the game & I never paid a single dime for the game. It was always fun to play the game. I enjoyed overdrive I liked the removal of the stamina system, I liked the changes to the head 2 head system because it felt more competitive. But when 21 came out I no longer had any interest in the game. They took all of our previous progress and completely deleted all of our legacy teams our badges or skins everything and deleted it. They eventually got rid of the auction house completely, which made getting cards pretty much impossible unless you pay money and the introduction of 400 200 300 overall players was absolutely ridiculous. The overpowered cards that they introduced in 18 made some sense and I could at least navigate that easily but the system they put in place in 21 and 22 was so nonsensical I couldn’t do it anymore.
appreciate you giving madden mobile 20 it's respect, my favorite MM of all time. i stopped playing in quarantine so i didn't experience the hell that was madden max but that would've ruined it for me too. great video!
When Madden overdrive 19 came in after 18,17,16 I gave up on it is because of lack of animation, money hungry that the devs throw everything, I lost everything that I collected player cards, jerseys, custom stadiums everything I haven't touched a mobile game from nfl since, plus today It wasn't the same anymore, they simply focus on microtransactions
I remember being a freshman in like 2014 and spending literal HOURS playing Madden Mobile trying to always one-up my friends by having a stacked team and rare cards

This was such a good video, it’s sad to see that the overalls of players became broken and went up to 600 overall, and even madden Max made no sense because like you said line men had max speed of 99 and receivers had 99 strength, and that’s just unrealistic. Now they have no auction house which is one of the funniest parts of the game, but also the facts that the promos are literally all the same concept of trading in rares for epics and epics for iconics, like where is the new creativity in the game, like what we’re they even thinking of having the overalls be completely out of hand as well.
I’ll never forget playing with my friends on FaceTime. Comparing teams to see who had the best and doing pack wars. I remember saving up tons of packs too just to open them all at once. And Christmas day challenges dude best times!
Good video, man those were the days. I remember all the way back when I played Madden 12 Mobile where UT wasn’t even a thing back in their mobile games yet and you could actually run a franchise and stuff. I then played Madden 13 social and although the gameplay was bad, I still had fun as a kid showing off my rare and legendary cards to my friends at school. I stopped playing after 17 because when I started growing up I started to realize how cash grabby EA became with their Madden Mobile games and it’s sad to see that it has somehow gotten worse, smh.

Awesome video man. The Madden Mobile community was always the thing that made the game as fun as it was. Taking out h2h game modes and the auction house made playing the game a more isolated experience. Classic EA, making one of the greatest mobile games ever and then ruining it with their greedy tendencies.

Man, this vid is a banger. Another aspect that made MM15/16 so great was the UA-cam community too. Guys like MMG, Slay, Ducky getting 100K+ subs from solely MM content in the 2016 YT era is crazy to look back on. My first 50 vids on this channel are pretty much all MM pack openings and shopping sprees trying to be like those guys - hype intro, trap instrumentals, high energy voiceover etc. Miss those times! As a former creator of Madden Mobile content, this brings back a lot of memories. Man, I really do miss playing this game and making content on it. I played it longer than most people, I stopped playing and making constant content towards the end of 22.
I keep praying that one year they'll just do a revamp of MM15-16. I've been saying for a long time, they needed to change things up to keep players engaged, I get that part. But, they didn't do it in the right way.
It's been long enough, there's been enough advancements, they could totally bring it back in its simple form and it would work.

To me, they really missed their opportunity in MM22 to do something meaningful. They were rebuilding the whole game from scratch and decided to double down on the restricted AH by removing it all together and making it a total gacha game.

i really appreciate it man. this game was a huge part of my life for a long time, and i made some core memories from it. this game developed my love for graphic design/content creation, so i wanted to make it right. i knew there were countless others like me who grew up with and loved this game just as much as i did, and i wanted to make sure that the golden years of madden mobile got the love and justice they deserved, because whatever EA is calling "Madden Mobile" nowadays is just pure garbage. it still boggles my mind how badly they fumbled this game.

Madden Mobile was one of those games that helped me make new friends in high school, it's the game that got me invested in real life football now as a 23 year old nearly a decade later. I'll never forget being in physics class comparing teams with this other kid Damien, and we'd always compete to see who had a better team. Damien if you're out there, miss ya bud, hope you're big chillin and still rooting for the Packers!

appreciate the support man, and yeah its crazy how hard this games fallen off. i was there during MM's prime days and saw it all firsthand, it's so sad how much its taken a hit over the years. from the price caps, removal of the auction house, inflated overalls, lack of creativity for promos, pack caps, not having all the rosters in the game.. whatever it may be, it feels like it's all gotten worse year by year. it sucks that EA just doesn't even care at all.

When my 21 y/o self had to wake up at 5 AM and play some MM16 before taking a shower and going to the uni, and then come back home, do homework and play more MM16 while being F2P, I miss those days. And I absolutely forgot about Draft Champions from 18, I absolutely loved that mode with all my heart because I literally screamed internally whenever I get goat cards at the final rounds. 😢

Glad there’s finally a video talking about this game’s drop off. I still remember sitting on the bus getting into bidding wars in the auction house in MM17. The experience of the pre Overdrive games was unmatched, and I miss it.
yeah man this game was truly amazing before overdrive. I wasn't a huge fan of MM18 when it was out but if i knew about the 400+ overall cards that we're on the horizon I would've played it even more. But yeah man, I miss MM15-18 too. Sad to see what EA ruined.

I remember for Christmas a decade ago at this point. I got a tablet with a bunch of downloaded games already on it. Madden mobile 14 was one of the pre downloaded games. I loved the franchise and head to head modes. The game got me into the NFL and made me a Falcons fan. I took a break during 16 because my tablet broke and I forgot about it, but I returned to 18 (which in my opinion is when franchise was the most fun.) and still loved the game. I absolutely hated what overdrive did getting rid of franchise and auctions. I've tried getting back into Madden mobile but the game really feels like a shell of itself.

The one thing that I hate with a fire passion, is that the sets over time become so hard to do for one card, it’s like you either sacrifice your entire binder for one card or have an binder of mid cards, and for ultimate team in general, theirs no like free grind for a great card, only for mid cards. I think if they had the program feature that MLB the show has for it’s mode, then ultimate team would be actually decent. So many EA scams everywhere in all their games. I remember that it took me 4 years to find the sets option because it feels like everything is hidden in the game hud.

I had last played Mobile in 15-16 in college and had no idea how good I had it. Downloaded last year’s and it was unrecognizable from what I remembered. As a NMS player, it is functionally impossible to replicate the grind and fun I used to have.
This is such a trip. I used to make madden mobile videos lmao. Create custom cards. Made so many friends that I talked to for years following quitting the game. The community was so dope. Unlike any game i’ve ever experienced before.
I remember packing the ultimate legend calvin johnson in mm15 and being so hyped about it i posted it on instagram lol. I remember being so pissed i missed the Kam Chancellor glitch lmfao. The sets were sick. Even the trophies. The community. They hype around it. EA completely killed this game the moment they removed the auction house and expanded OVR to 100+.

Very underrated video thanks for this ! I started replaying Madden 25 in 2025 and my first experience was during madden 15 . Gotta say it’s definitely not what I expected
I'm brazilian and I played for every top ranked brazilian league. It was so fun to count the points, wait till the final minutes to see you needed a FG or TD. I still have the pages keeping the score of every league player through out the week to see who would be send to the lowers leagues. What started to kill the game to me was the addition of schemes, making that not only you had to get good players, they had to be specific to the team. After that, it was the overalls. I stopped when it passed 125. Cards didn't mean anything any more. But I keep the good memories. cj prosise was my favorite hb, bryan hoyer was my first ever qb. Controling the lolb to get sacks. The plays I loved and were removed after each season... It was great while it lasted.
Don't know if we talking about the same thing here, but personally used to like to play those player vs. player games were both played their offensive drives. And every once in awhile you would run into a player who just spammed the same play over and over again, but back in the day you had a solution for that. As you could see the playes the opposing team had run and then on defense block one or maybe on later levels even 2 of their specific plays. And oh boy would have I loved to see my opponents face who were used to spamming the same play for TDs suddenly go 3 and out etc. 😂
But then they changed the game so that you needed to collect some really weak defensive scheme or whatever cards to improve your defense and those one play spammers just dominated. That is when I quit the game for good. 😢

Recently MMG posted a video answering people"s questions about the new College Football 25 game, and one thing he said is that with all the hype that game is getting after an 11 year hiatus, EA is putting a lot of effort into the game to make it really fun to play, which is expected to raise the standards for their Madden 25 release, especially since the CFB team and Madden team are close collaborators
As someone who has fond memories of playing a lot of Madden Mobile during the 17 and 18 years, I am hoping that Madden Mobile 25 is also upgraded to make up for all the neglect the game has suffered from. Also since EA's most common criticism is for being too greedy and releasing the same game every year for easy billions instead of evolving, I hope this can have a ripple effect on the rest of the company, with CFB 25 being the spark they needed
MM15-18 were my entire childhood man. I remember grinding 24/7 as a kid, falling in love with football, and watching MMG all the time. They could literally just put Madden 16 mobile back on the App Store with modern players and it would be the top selling mobile game. I miss old Madden mobile so bad, I’d do anything to go back to these days man.

MM15: When that 96 Clay Matthews and Delanie Walker Final Editions were like 40-50k to buy until the season ended, those cards are budget beasts, instead of being used as a set piece on the 99 Joe Haden.
MM16: When EA put out a set that let you turn 3 MVP or Captains to Position Heroes, i turned 3 90-91 Captains into a 99 Kawann Short Position Hero. Also tried my luck at the Final Edition using 5 gold trophies and pulled the 96 (97 on console) Terron Armstead
MM17: When i was able to build 99 Jordan Reed, T.Y. Hilton, Haloti Ngata and Brian Cushing then selling one version of the Unsung Hero. That program that gave cards to non-playoff teams (or in case of teams that went 9-7, the ones that went to the 2017 playoffs). Then the sudden introduction of NFL Bosses, which gave supercharged versions of players that were dominant in their career and on a team in the 2016 season.
MM18: 129 OVR defense, and the only affordable DTs that were able to do a top defense were the mover ones.

Would love for you to cover the competitive side of the game. Shit was wild, the #1 league in 15 and 16 was just one guy who was a cookie salesman but was hacking to make sure hed win by a few points during the last minutes of the match. Each top league would make alt accounts to make alt leagues to snipe other top leagues. Was a member of multiple top 10 leagues (including the number 1 league for 17, 18, and overdrive) if you have any questions lmk!
might have to look into that, i was in a top 25 league for a while in mm15/16, but i didn't know about the #1 guy lmao. i might have to take you up on that tho!
I remember me and my dad always played together when I was 12, he made a league with his work buddies and we grinded and got the 99ovr Tom Brady and the 99 Emmitt smith, and I believe we were in the top 100 leagues in the world. Some of the best memories with my dad was with MM16-17

Remember when it was a game on Facebook and was just simulation. It played that like crazy and then when the first Madden mobile came out it was something else. The first few years were amazing, and then it slowly started to fall apart and got more and more monetized and less player friendly.

I remember back to 2015 and 2016 (in my estimation, two of the best versions of the game) and the US map full of live events and collections that went throughout the year with fun stack boosts and most importantly, large events and themes that you really looked forward to. Christmas, thanksgiving, frozen, halloween, 4th of july, draft, all of them were fun and I looked forward to them when they were on the horizon. To think about what little content Madden 25 offers is maddening..
Aww man, now I've been reminded of how much fun Draft Champions was. I used to do draft simulations (I think Muthead had one) just because of how fun the drafting process alone was. Now, even that hasn't existed for 5+ years as far as I know.

I remember every card with a speed team bonus would be absolutely lit. There was a Dre Archer silver card that was worth bank because of that. I pulled a Chris Johnson Pro Bowl 99 overall with +2 speed bonus and sold it off the market for $250 because it went for more than max coin. What an insane time.

I want to say this when I was growing up and playing mobile the game up until 21 was pretty great. I wasn’t into the community for real. I didn’t even know about budget squads or anything like that, but I played the game, I grinded the game & I never paid a single dime for the game. It was always fun to play the game. I enjoyed overdrive I liked the removal of the stamina system, I liked the changes to the head 2 head system because it felt more competitive. But when 21 came out I no longer had any interest in the game. They took all of our previous progress and completely deleted all of our legacy teams our badges or skins everything and deleted it. They eventually got rid of the auction house completely, which made getting cards pretty much impossible unless you pay money and the introduction of 400 200 300 overall players was absolutely ridiculous. The overpowered cards that they introduced in 18 made some sense and I could at least navigate that easily but the system they put in place in 21 and 22 was so nonsensical I couldn’t do it anymore.
appreciate you giving madden mobile 20 it's respect, my favorite MM of all time. i stopped playing in quarantine so i didn't experience the hell that was madden max but that would've ruined it for me too. great video!

When Madden overdrive 19 came in after 18,17,16 I gave up on it is because of lack of animation, money hungry that the devs throw everything, I lost everything that I collected player cards, jerseys, custom stadiums everything I haven't touched a mobile game from nfl since, plus today It wasn't the same anymore, they simply focus on microtransactions

@@foruv man thinking about prime mm15/16…. enough to make a grown man cry🥲 and yeah, the games literally just a microtransaction simulator, its crazy. mm20 was the last one i truly played i played mm15-18, stopped in overdrive and then gave 20 a chance but its all just gone downhill since then
@@veryBerryTV agreed 100%, its insane how far off it fell from when they messed up auctions in 18 to mm20, which was getting insane hate even 4 years ago compared to now where mm isnt even recognizable from what it used to be
@@foruv yep. it truly started when they introduced the price caps and well… it went downhill from there. i mean, i remember at the time the game was out people lowkey didnt like mm16 (mm15 had everyone in a chokehold back then), and now its a complete mess with these insane overall cards, trash gameplay and trash promos🤦♂️

This was such a good video, it’s sad to see that the overalls of players became broken and went up to 600 overall, and even madden Max made no sense because like you said line men had max speed of 99 and receivers had 99 strength, and that’s just unrealistic. Now they have no auction house which is one of the funniest parts of the game, but also the facts that the promos are literally all the same concept of trading in rares for epics and epics for iconics, like where is the new creativity in the game, like what we’re they even thinking of having the overalls be completely out of hand as well.
I’ll never forget playing with my friends on FaceTime. Comparing teams to see who had the best and doing pack wars. I remember saving up tons of packs too just to open them all at once. And Christmas day challenges dude best times!
Good video, man those were the days. I remember all the way back when I played Madden 12 Mobile where UT wasn’t even a thing back in their mobile games yet and you could actually run a franchise and stuff. I then played Madden 13 social and although the gameplay was bad, I still had fun as a kid showing off my rare and legendary cards to my friends at school. I stopped playing after 17 because when I started growing up I started to realize how cash grabby EA became with their Madden Mobile games and it’s sad to see that it has somehow gotten worse, smh.

I remember playing madden 18 with my dad and sniping this tyler lockett card i had been wanting. Honestly i cried when they removed the market place. I would give good cash to bring the auction back.
