I did the Traxxas lift kit adjusted the trailing arms and used 10w oil with the softest springs they offer deleted the limiting spacers plus weighted front hubs and wheels. Mine is like a spider over 6in of flex up front both rear tires still planted.
Just ordered some parts. Gonna try this mod with 120 mm shocks in the rear. I have the trx4 lift and a whole bunch of unsprung weight forward bias. Low CG battery tray.HH 27t 550 trail master. Very excited. Thanks bud. Keep on rockin.
Ok just tested this out on mine....I think you are on to something with the right setup and tuning this appears to work good. Simple enough to make some plates out of aluminium. Thanks for the vid. if I had not seen it in action I may not have tried it
Just a thought but would a longer shock have done the same thing?? Correct me if I'm wrong but it's the same thing.. I'm sure if this were an actual thing that worked better people would do it in full size..
The main times your suspension mod helped wouldn't have been an issue with locked diffs. It's not entirely forward innovation to make something that works almost as good as something that already exists.
I honestly couldn't get it dialed in for the steep off camber terrain in my area. It was having issues with falling over and tumbling down the hill. I also couldn't get the high speed stability back. The links helped dramatically in a very specific type of crawling, but it hurt it's performance in most other terrain so I went back to stock shocks on the trx4 with 15wt shock oil.
@@JPsRCWorkshop Thanks for that, I have done something similar on an SCX10 II, mounting the link arms in a different location. On the bench everything seems OK, as it is, the arms do not require me to add travel limiters. Only got it done last night, so a little while b4 I go testing in the wild. I'll be looking at issues you faced, and anything else that arises. It's just one minute to revert to 'normal'. Anyway, nothing ventured, nothing gained...
Here's link for video of testing my droop link SCX10 II ua-cam.com/video/7A7v0rxdhOg/v-deo.html ... not that you can see much, but shows how I set it up. The car is solid at speed, across an incline, did give more tyre-ground contact. The upper shock mount is at same point as normal, without the links ( I did add limiters to stop it here), and droops 10mm at full extension. I'm happy to keep the setup and test further... Thanks for idea!
Awesome power wagon color scheme, I like that body style mine is burgundy n black fenders awesome..I need to find them gas cans
Never thought about using a servo horn for additional travel. I might have to borrow that idea.
Nice video and course.
👍
This mod is common for cc01

Local guy with rc trucks and rocks in the backyard! Great vid, love to crawl that course! Just subscribed
Check out sasquatch crawling grounds on Facebook.
That in a very interesting idea. The rears stay planted longer so both wheels have traction more often.

john basterson you know what they say "one step forward, 2 steps back"
Ideas drive innovation, referencing the status quo does not.
I've been working on something like that for my 10.2
How have you progressed with this?

This is the rear end shock mod that I've been working on for my SCX10.2 for More travel.

How does it work side hilling?
I have a lot of brass on my front axle so it does pretty well still. It does hurt side hill stability a little bit though
How do you lock and unlock the diffs?
What do you think of that droop setup so far?
Locking the reer "" that's what he said 🙊🙊🙊😝😝😝😝
Dont see any droop here . No need for that silly shit. And for fuck sakes keep it all locked .
