I missed the intro price of the Ascent 18 and regretted it. Luckily the Black Friday deal came along. That pink body must be in high demand, it went quick. Hopefully they come back in stock soon and mine ships.
Ordering utb 18 made a 4 tier course mountain, scrap rc lot, caverns. Skulls, snake, hand cut carved last 5-7 days. This is a couple passions all in one. These micro are so much fun indoors for winter. Next winter will be a drift track.
It's old and outdated. Nothing new besides a half-assed clipless body system. Great truck, but much newer better options nowadays. Love the trx4 but it needs some serious updates. Been the same truck for the past 7 years
@krystianhughes4134 What upgrades would you suggest? There's only so much you can do to an already great frame. Even real body on frame trucks stay the same with lockers only difference is tech
@@plaisbois951 not upgrades, updates. I'm not hating on the truck at all. But the whole chassis could be updated for further performance enhancement. Better electronics!! Esc, motor, servos, mainly the smaller servos. Body could be lighter. They tried to do it with the sport but from all the videos and reviews, (I've never owned the sport), it didn't look pleasing enough for me to buy one.
And I know electronics is a upgrade everybody does but when my son's stock redcat crawler made it a lot longer without breaking and can crawl better than my stock but 4x expensive trx4, I feel like something is wrong
@krystianhughes4134 they are pretty much the same thing steel ladder frame and solid front and rear portal diffs just like real trucks but with the TRX you can lock the diffs and change gears remotely pretty much a two in one car. I installed a hobby wing Axe 3300kv motor combo, open the diffs and hugh gear which is crazy fast and pops Willie's and is a basher. After 5 years, I've never broken anything with the exception of bending the from aluminum b7mper mount from hitting a curb bashing.

Brett if you don’t have one you should make your own UA-cam channel. I’d watch you review anything and narrate some crawling
5:09 Gets my vote!
I have a silver one and the new green gen 8 also.
FMS FCX10 LC80 is the winner for sure!
What about the 1/10 TRX-4? With a 2 speed trans and front and rear lockers?

Wish they didn't market the Capra as 18th scale. It most definitely is not 18th scale. Its more like 12th scale.
