Here in France you can overnight camp virtually anywhere, in fact there are abundant "Aires" all over the place which are specifically for that purpose with toilets etc. There are no charges at any of them. How strange that it is made a crime in the UK.
And that's exactly the way it should be mate 👍 organised support and official places to pull up in either for free or a small nominal fee. The UK has gone mad with these no overnight parking signs unfortunately
It's a crime to stop people using the countryside to aid mental health and wellbeing when towns like Neath near to where I live are infested with drinkers and drug takers and not a copper to be seen Car parks on remote parts of Wales is where all the troubles must be Glad you're out and about 👍💪🏴
Absolutely buddy! Get out and enjoy the country 🙂 should be free for everyone to use as they see fit as long as you leave no trace and cause no disturbance 👍 live the free life 😁
I totally agree, the police have a duty to do certain things like keep the peace and protect the people because they swore an oath as constables to do so. Power and authority are two totally different things, I mean I have the power to stand in the middle of a road stark bollock naked, but I don't have the authority to do it. Because to be ordered to pay a fine, it has to be done through a court, and it must be signed and sealed by a judge and not just stamped on a presumption in your absence, and the chance to defend yourself, because that is fraud, and its unlawful.
Police solving some serious crimes sitting in a car park quality work bravo 👏 these cops need a pay rise and a bonus for working so hard under extreme conditions
Cheers buddy, so annoying to see the signs up because it makes no sense to stop people from getting some beautiful shots. I can imagine getting "permission" would cost many thousands of pounds for no reason apart from someone pocketing it
It definitely wasn't illegal to fly the drone there - It might have been "illegal" to take off from the car park, but the only airspace restrictions in the area are for military operations and go from 28,500ft to 66,000ft. No way you're getting a drone anywhere near that.
Love it mate! I'm converting my little Corsa-C at the moment, hoping to get out in it this summer. Screw the lawmakers - if you're not making any mess, being respectful of the wildlife etc then they should just let us all crack on
Cheers mate and great to hear your converting a car into a camper as well 🙂. I totally agree! Nothing wrong in living life free if your not hurting no one 👍. Have fun!
I went to Elan Valley for the first time a few weeks ago. The Valley itself is great, but what impressed me the most was there is a mountain road that leads off the back of one of the reservoirs that goes all the way to Aberystwyth. I drove it late evening straight into a blood red sunset. I thought I'd seen all the epic parts of Wales. I used to live in Shrewsbury, so was in Wales all the time. However, that drive made It immediately into my top ten Wales experiences. T'was epic.
@@BrendanExplores Yes some epic roads in Wales. The B4405 'Happy Valley' road from near Dolgellau to Tywyn, is one of my favourites, Everybody by-passes it on the A487. The road behind Lake Vyrnwy to Dinas Mawddwy is amazing. Bedgellert to Caenarfon. Llanfylin to Bala. The Dovey estuay road to Aberdovey. Could go on, SO many great driving roads, largely devoid of traffic and Heddlu.
I’m sitting in Elan Oaks campsite writing this comment. Your video, which I watched a while ago led me here so thanks for that Brendan! We hiked right around the reservoir for 11.5 miles(18km). What an epic walk, very nice here. The reservoir is probably 20 meters lower than when you filmed it, crazy how empty it looks!

Nice content Brendan , cracking spot . Love your simplistic take on a difficult task. So many things could go wrong . Plod wouldn’t bother you to busy eating doughnuts ……. Wonder if you could do them on the griddle almost like a drop scone . Have you thought of making your tailgate kitchen a pull out affair using drawer runners ? I converted a toy box in ld1 and had it as a full pull out kitchen in a shogun , even had drop down legs . Furnished it with Poundland utensils . Cooked up some right meals on that set up . Keep going matey

Only just found your channel yesterday when looking for stealth camping videos. Excellent content mate, time to work through the list of your other videos 👍
We have just come back from there, we didn’t stop over night, we had to stop in a lay-by over night. We found there’s hardly any wild camping in Wales. It’s other people who have spoilt it for everyone else. We like Scotland better than Wales. Lucky for us we just live a couple of hours away. Lovely videos. Alia x
Glad you had a good night in Wales guys 👍 and yes, it is becoming really difficult in Wales now unfortunately. Can't wait to visit Scotland 🙂 happy camping!
I got campervan and always camp up on top of the very last reservoir far end of the dam the view is mind blowing, never had no problems and I also pick up other peoples litter which I always do and if I’m questioned by police or wardens I just say I’m keeping the country side tidy what the councils cannot do…good luck on your adventures stay safe butty

Great to watch you travelling. I live in Wales but not been to The Elon Valley. Would be great to have one of those umbrella things for the windscreen in my camper 😁
First, my God what a beautiful part of the country. Well worth my jumping on a plane and adopting my motto, "Have Camera, Will Travel". And so, an unsolicited comment about rights in America. Please excuse my ignorance about the division of Wales and England, as there appears to be subtle nuances about the relationship. I once spoke with a Welsh person who was very adamant about Wales and England being separate countries but sharing political alliances. Now, all of that to explain my ignorance when I say this. I watch UA-camrs posting in England, and I’ve done a bit of research about the state of personal rights in the Queen’s land. Apparently, their attitude about rights comes from the perspective of a Nanny State. I say this, because we in the States are on the verge of going down that slippery slope. The elitists accomplish this by removing rights in increments, and all with the proposition that each removal of rights is in the public good. You are correct that those in charge only need a single incident to dictate to everyone else. Damn shame really, the country that birthed the Magna Carta has eaten itself from the inside. I could go on and on, and perhaps one day I might, but suffice to say I feel your pain about the lack of access to what is essentially public land. In other words, it may be public, but the public has limited access. Larry from Texas
Hey Larry, thanks for the comment buddy 👍. I personally think the UK is a whole nation that should feel united but I appreciate everyone has different views. I do wish the UK would stop putting restrictions in to peoples freedoms though and charging here there and everywhere... Hopefully it doesn't get much worse 👍

Loving this video bro it looks awesome where you stayed. I first timed camped yesterday around the Shropshire District with my Fiancee we are officially hooked now. 😎😎
Lucky man lol you got away with that one, what a stunning place, Those drone shots were awesome if you have a mini 1,2 or 3 those signs mean nothing mate they don't control the air space. That umbrella shade would be awesome I would use it for y car as I haven't got anything for the front of the windows and it would be ideal for the nighttime as well.
Nice, I did my first wild not so legal car camping trip out here in Spain a few weeks ago, although a little more in the sticks than you did.... its quite unnerving knowing you could get moved on, but I soon forgot about it and enjoyed the night and didn't get any issues.... Pork belly looked really good!
Cheers mate and I bet the weather in Spain made for one comfortable night under the stars 🙂. Yeh it took me a while to get used to the fear of getting "the knock" but I don't even think about it anymore to be fair
5 star views and 5 star food! I've been to the italian maritime alps some days ago and found a fantastic spot to stay, absolute stunning views, near and old chapel on a very quiet road. Right when I finished cooking and while I was eating my Fajitas the cops turned up and stopped. Oh no! But they just said "Buon Appetito" and wished me a nice day. I know it's quite far from Shropshire to the mountains north of Nice, but maybe you should consider it :)
Pork belly slices, mmmm one of my all time favourites. I think the cops turned up because they got reports of delicious smells around the valley and wanted in. Stunning location 👌 I think you should get paid for advertising Wales as I'm sure your videos will draw others to visit. Take care mate and stay safe.
Me too! Absolutely delicious 😁. I'm hoping to make this my full time job one day so you never know 🙂. Thanks for showing your support and leaving a comment 👍
The Police always go to park up in nice places to eat their food on duty. Seen Police all the time in Takeaways, then they go to a park up and eat it in their car.
A lovely video fair play. I am astonished by the police presence hassling people for having a nap in their car. Get burgled and they are "too busy" to do anything about it! PS. I was very envious of your portion size :-)
yeah I visited it 30 yrs ago with my mates in a camper...no hassles camping back then... got quite (well very) wasted - so much so that I don't remember anything, apart from when we woke up we realised it was maybe a bit risky putting our tents metres from the edge of a cliff down to the river valley below haha...
@@BrendanExplores was nice to be reminded of Elan - i'm thinking of getting a dacia duster, so have been watching vids on camping in suvs etc...subbed btw:)
Another great video. Wales really is a beautiful country but not been there looks amazing. My mouth was watering so much watching you cook maple pork belly nice really nice. Look forward to next vid. Will be heading that way soon. I did an overnight stealth camp in Llyn Teifi but haven’t had the time to edit the video, was lush and wasn’t bothered by anyone bar the sheep. Although the road was pretty hairy in places. Will let you know when I posted it so you can have a look
Done plenty of camping in the car up elan valley usually head up to the claerwen reservoir further up the valley. One night we camped there and 3 other vehicles were camping the opposite side of the dam. Never had an issue and never seen any police up them ways either 👍
Hey loving the Videos However the reason why Drones aren't allowed and this is the case in many parts of Wales is because places like the valley have breeding pairs or groups of rare and or protected birds, it's all fun until you or someone does something to screw up reintroduction projects, please be careful and respectful. Thanks x
Hey Ezri 👋 glad you're enjoying the videos 🙂. I appreciate and respect your point 👍 just for perspective, my drone is probably smaller than your smart phone and causes very little disturbance to the surround area it's flown in. I also take car to avoid trees or places where birds may be nesting when possible. Thanks for heads up though 🙂
Your videos are nice and chill, I watch you cuz you have a micro camper and your in the UK like me, I recently got a Berlingo Multispace and working on doing it up. that umbrella thing looks amazing BTW :P
Nice to see a Shropshire lad on his travels. Nowt wrong with a steakth camp as long as you leave no mess and are not rude if the land owner asks you to leave. Enjoy! What cool box is that?
We've got a Picasso that you can sleep in the back if you take the seats out. It's amazing how many places say 'no overnight camping', makes it so hard to find somewhere and adds stress into the equation. Makes me so angry. Campsites are prohibitively expensive for many people and then we can't even kip in our own cars parked up somewhere not hurting anyone. It's like the countryside and health and wellbeing is only allowed if you have cash to splash.
Yeh car camping seems to be a nice way of cheap travel because as you say, some camp sites have tripped their charges since the lockdowns and rise in staycations
Great video , far too many restrictions in England and Wales . Drone restrictions possibly due to low flying area for RAF , only fly in week though . Check out Mach Loop there’s some lay-by around could be good ? . And you have a great appetite 👍
Car park checker uppers , they are usually the type of blokes who walk about wearing utility belts, and can rattle off a list of bullshit made up reasons why camping overnight is illegal, love your channel, and long live the stealth camper
Unless there's a restricted area near by, airport, military base etc, you can stand on the public highway and fly a sub 250g drone perfectly legally, irrespective of what the inaccurate out of date sign says.
Your totally right mate 👍 they do have low flight paths sometimes but that's published online and was all clear when I was there 🙂. Enjoy life and use common and we'll all be ok
Things have changed here in Australia as well in regards to camping the signs have changed from no tents to also no vehicle’s on the one sign it’s made living free impossible to raise revenue on van lifers homeless here has increased tenfold it’s just bs we have lost our sovereignty to a beautiful country no one owns I love your risk taking videos and cooking etc keep them coming please I find peace and harmony with a like minded adventurer 🙏💟✝️🙏
Cheers Dean 👍 glad your enjoying the videos 🙂. It's a real shame to hear that about Australia.. sorry to hear your having trouble with parks. I don't think governments like people unplugging from the system...
I've been to Elan Valley quite a few times. There are some discreet parking areas around, not necessarily near where you were but further into the hills. Still on the tarmac. There are a few rough tracks too, but I'm sure you'll find your quiet places. I tend to do similar things in my 4x4 and sleep in it too.
Nice one 👍 good to hear from a fellow camper 🙂. I'll have to have a search for some quiet spots next time, although this spot was pretty epic 😁. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment 👍
I had a picnic in one of the quiet lay-bys there a few weeks ago. Beats me why people actually park in 'car parks' when there are lots of lay-bys around.
Hey man. Just come across your videos. Im actually thinking about car camping. Good advice on the overnight on the driveway for the 1st tester outing. 👍👍 Ill be watching more
The establishment don't like free spirits. The Governmenet want to brainwash and control people and they don't like people off-grid, so they can't monitor them via CCTV, ATM transactions and online footprints.
yet you could legally pull out onto the road, and as long as it is not a clearway or on yellow lines, and not causing a hazard or obstruction, could park right outside the entrance and sleep over night.... crazy country for sure. Nice spot that, and even nicer cook up :)
Unfortunately due to some disgusting animals that use the hedge/grass verge as a toilet (and leaving the evidence) no overnight camping is getting more and more common. So again the few screw it up for the majority!
Unfortunately your correct but I think there should be harsher punishments for those who decide to ruin nature instead of banning good folks from enjoying themselves but I guess that's not going to happen sadly...
I wouldn't mind if most campsites weren't charging through the roof to park in a field... I'll keep winging it until I'm told not to 👍. I'll happily support a reasonably priced campsite which I've done on a few occasions
It’s done deliberately to stop fee camping they want you to spend money. Happening everywhere even in Scotland on the N C 500. Good luck , Sod them go for it.🏴🚙⛺️
Typical rip off Britain. I refuse to pay for camp sites or overnight parking on principle. This country (England) is my heritage and I have the right to enjoy it without being charged everywhere I go which just isn't a viable option when you live in your vehicle full time. Screw Wales (not the Welsh) They obviously don't need or want the income from tourism.
Thanks mate and yes I was concerned but when I have a pan on the stove very little heat rises and the air flow between the stove and the boot is great so it's not an issue thankfully 🙂
With the new trespass laws in place (the ones pushed while they were filling people's heads with unimportant bullshit), it's become near impossible to park up on a beauty spot without being asked to move on, the powers go as far as move on until refusal then arrest is a possibility. I served in the army and if one fucked up you all did and blanket punishment was enforced, this seems to be the direction Britain is going 'militant'.. Wales is stunning but offers nothing unless you park in a private campsite 💷💷💷. I suppose in a way it keeps the place tidy if nobody comes but that's the tar brush effect again.. freedom to move has gone.
@@OffGridwanderlust the law was only passed recently depending on where you go and who sees you would depend if they complain and the police attend to ask you to move on. I'm sure you are aware now that trespass is now criminal not civil law so the land owners and councils can avoid the slow process of eviction, it's mostly aimed toward squatters and gypsy travellers setting up sites than individuals but there are plenty of people who have been moved on since the law came into effect.. it's not effected me but wales is an already difficult place to stay without going to a campsite..
@@BrendanExplores compost toilets, they have a small shop and the sunsets and landscape is beautiful. It’s 20 minutes from Rhayader. It’s called Cocos, have a look at it. Great to take your little one as it’s a working farm and you can feed the animals. Huge amount of space.
I've been going to The Brecon Becons and South Wales since 1984 and the only time we could park anywhere was when I was in the Military, Park Rangers patrol the car parks at night.
That's crazy... And a real shame. Surely if a ranger came across a lone van, quietly tucked in the corner they would let it be? I'd like to think so atleast..
People do park! but not in Public Car Parks, Me personally I never park in public car parks for all sorts of reasons, I will park in a Village or Town then Tab to the camp location.
@@albert21able The best place to park is a quiet residential street, where there are lots of other cars, so one more car doesn't stand put. Parking alone in a deserted designated car park is asking for trouble.
I think you'll find drones are NOT allowed because they can frighten sheep over the edge of cliffs. Also, the police presents is due to things going missing from farm yards. I live not far away and I can assure you "It's not just a minority who leave rubbish and spoil it for others". Good video though, I've liked and subscribed.
Thanks for joining the family Matt 👍 glad you liked the video. Yeh some drones can be intrusive but thankfully mine is smaller than my smart phone and under 250g in weight. Shame about people stealing from the local farm land, I think most recreational campers though are pretty well behaved 👍
I think you’ll find that they can’t restrict drone usage if you take off and land in a public area as they don’t own or control the airspace above their land. If you were stood on their land while flying that would be a different matter.

You love your grub mate, I was slavering over them " maple glazed pork bellies " . Top man, great video.
Ooo I do buddy 😋👍 they were absolutely delicious. Best part? I got them from aldi and paid about 3 quid 😉
Yeh it was a close call mate and yeh I thought you can do both with it, stealth up and keep the heat out 🙂
OMG!! I put 6 stone on just watching you make that meal, looks well nice 😁😁😁
🤣 yeh it's not the healthiest option, that's for sure lol
Nice, I did my first wild not so legal car camping trip out here in Spain a few weeks ago, although a little more in the sticks than you did.... its quite unnerving knowing you could get moved on, but I soon forgot about it and enjoyed the night and didn't get any issues.... Pork belly looked really good!
Cheers mate and I bet the weather in Spain made for one comfortable night under the stars 🙂. Yeh it took me a while to get used to the fear of getting "the knock" but I don't even think about it anymore to be fair
I’ve seen some strong winds rip those no overnight parking signs off and they’ve ended up in the bushes. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Cheers Bren..quality mate..oh that food..👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks mate, it went down well 😋😁
5 star views and 5 star food!
Thanks very much mate and I would absolutely love to head into Europe at some point 🙂. Sounds like the police are pretty chill there 👍
Great video. We visited Ellan Valley last month .
Thanks Clare, hope you had a lovely time there 🙂 👍
Evening mate, try black mountain pass, I've being up there many times. But in a tent.. Good look up there. 👍😃🔥🇬🇧
Thanks for the suggestion buddy! 🙂 I'll look it up 👍
@@BrendanExplores you will love it mate 👍😃
Oh wow glad you got away in time 😅😎 Beautiful place there!🏞🌷🍃 Have a Great 4th of July!✨🎆
Cheers Sharon and me! 😂 It's the most beautiful place I've been to yet for sure 😁. I hope you have a brilliant 4th of July as well 🙂
@@BrendanExplores thanks Brendan!🤸♀️🤸♂️🌄
A lovely video fair play. I am astonished by the police presence hassling people for having a nap in their car. Get burgled and they are "too busy" to do anything about it! PS. I was very envious of your portion size :-)
Thank you very much and I was a little surprised to see them asking people how long they have been there for etc.. the food was amazing though 😁
Great choice of music! 👍
Thank you mate 👍🙂
Great stuff....!!
Greetings, from Wicklow, Ireland!
Thanks mate 😁 thanks for watching and leaving a comment 👍👋
Another great vid and that food looked 👌
Cheers mate and I'm still dreaming about it today 😂
@@BrendanExplores 😂yeah I bet, theses trips always go way too quick won't they. Stunning location that was
The RAF are cleared to use Elan Valley for low flying training hence the drone ban
There's quite a few places that are cleared though and the flight plans said there was nn planned flights for that day 👍
yeah I visited it 30 yrs ago with my mates in a camper...no hassles camping back then... got quite (well very) wasted - so much so that I don't remember anything, apart from when we woke up we realised it was maybe a bit risky putting our tents metres from the edge of a cliff down to the river valley below haha...
😲 oh Christ! Lol sound spoke you had a great time though 👍 thanks for leaving a comment 🙂
@@BrendanExplores was nice to be reminded of Elan - i'm thinking of getting a dacia duster, so have been watching vids on camping in suvs etc...subbed btw:)
@@robinaart72 yeh go for it and thanks mate, welcome to the family 🙂👍
Lovely views. Seen the dams when in Wales. If there was caravans and camping there it would easily be £25 a night
If you leave area as you find it what is the harm with letting vans and cars stay overnight.
Another great video. Wales really is a beautiful country but not been there looks amazing. My mouth was watering so much watching you cook maple pork belly nice really nice. Look forward to next vid. Can I put in a request for cooking see what meal you can make out of sausages. Thanks for sharing your adventures 😊
Thanks very much Paul 🙂 glad your enjoying them and what would you suggest I make with some sausages? 👍
@@BrendanExplores to be honest I really like what you come up with eg maple belly pork and those cheese potatoes my god I can't tell you how much my mouth was watering 😋 bit of a test to see what you come up with. Hooe you don't mind.
Will be heading that way soon.
I did an overnight stealth camp in Llyn Teifi but haven’t had the time to edit the video, was lush and wasn’t bothered by anyone bar the sheep. Although the road was pretty hairy in places. Will let you know when I posted it so you can have a look
Nice one buddy 👍 glad you weren't bothered by anyone 🙂. I had a lovely night here, just a lucky escape in the morning
@@BrendanExplores yeah you did well to get out un questioned 😝
Great places cheers for sharing im off out in my car soon 2 weeks and id love the refective brendan
My pleasure, glad you liked the video and the draw has already been done I'm afraid but there will be more giveaways in the future 🙂👍
Done plenty of camping in the car up elan valley usually head up to the claerwen reservoir further up the valley. One night we camped there and 3 other vehicles were camping the opposite side of the dam. Never had an issue and never seen any police up them ways either 👍
Ahh nice one! Appreciate the tip 🙂 if I return I'll check it out 👍
i went there around the same time in my van. gorgeous place
Isn't it just 🙂👍
Hey loving the Videos However the reason why Drones aren't allowed and this is the case in many parts of Wales is because places like the valley have breeding pairs or groups of rare and or protected birds, it's all fun until you or someone does something to screw up reintroduction projects, please be careful and respectful.
Watching you cook, I thought you had invited a coach party along for dinner. I can't believe you ate it all.
🤣🤣🤣 I was still a bit peckish after lol
Great upload! Diolch!
Thank you mate 🙂👍
Your videos are nice and chill, I watch you cuz you have a micro camper and your in the UK like me, I recently got a Berlingo Multispace and working on doing it up. that umbrella thing looks amazing BTW :P
Nice to see a Shropshire lad on his travels. Nowt wrong with a steakth camp as long as you leave no mess and are not rude if the land owner asks you to leave. Enjoy!
What cool box is that?
Thank you and yeh I love Shropshire 🙂. That's the right ethos, leave no trace and leave when asked 👍 it's the 14ltr cool box from Halfords 🙂
Great video thankyou 👍👍
Thanks Lee 🙂 appreciate the comment 👍
Great video , far too many restrictions in England and Wales . Drone restrictions possibly due to low flying area for RAF , only fly in week though . Check out Mach Loop there’s some lay-by around could be good ? . And you have a great appetite 👍
Cheers mate and I agree, as long as your sensible and careful there's no harm. Yeh, I do love my food 😋
Awesome stealthy style ,🥂🍺👍
Cheers buddy 🙂👍
we have stayed over night in that car park last year great nights sleep
It's a beautiful spot! Glad you had a good night there 🙂👍
Hello first time on . Magnificence view
Welcome to the channel 🙂 glad you enjoyed the video 👍
Car park checker uppers , they are usually the type of blokes who walk about wearing utility belts, and can rattle off a list of bullshit made up reasons why camping overnight is illegal, love your channel, and long live the stealth camper
Great spot, delicious meal
Yeh this was an epic spot that needed an epic meal 😁👍
Wonderful
Cheers buddy 😁
Hey man. Just come across your videos. Im actually thinking about car camping. Good advice on the overnight on the driveway for the 1st tester outing. 👍👍 Ill be watching more
Nice one Jay 🙂 glad your enjoying the videos mate 👍. I hope your first camp is a good one 😁
Truth is the establishment don't like anyone doing anything that doesn't cost you hand over fist specially free accommodation
Unfortunately I think it will only get worse as time goes on...
The establishment don't like free spirits. The Governmenet want to brainwash and control people and they don't like people off-grid, so they can't monitor them via CCTV, ATM transactions and online footprints.
What a beautiful area of Wales, will have to give that a visit. Shame it's not car camping friendly but the escaped just in time 😂
Oh it is so beautiful here 🙂. Be stealthy, you'll be ok 😉👍
Oh my god. I've got meat sweats just watching that meal.
Epic.
😂 yeh I'm still sweating now lol. I've cooked it at home three times since lol
I have seen motorhomes in laybys burning rubbish on huge bonfires it's no wonder this happens
Then they should be punished to the full extent of the law but it's wrong to punish everyone
yet you could legally pull out onto the road, and as long as it is not a clearway or on yellow lines, and not causing a hazard or obstruction, could park right outside the entrance and sleep over night.... crazy country for sure. Nice spot that, and even nicer cook up :)
Your absolutely right mate.. absolute madness when you think about it. Glad you liked the video and thank you for leaving a comment 👍
You need a camo net to deploy! It might also ruin the whole stealth mode bit of a gamble.
It would work great for the woodland but I know what you mean, might give the game away
Lol that was a close one 😂
It was mate.. skin of my teeth 😎
@@BrendanExplores lol so lucky 😂
Great places your doing boss job I going get my kit together and my dog se ya soon m8
Thanks mate 🙂 happy camping 👍
What you should do is pull up just after 12 at night then you haven’t spent the night you arrived early hours in the morning
That's a fair point 👍 but I'm an old man now lol I'm I'm bed before 9 😂
Unfortunately due to some disgusting animals that use the hedge/grass verge as a toilet (and leaving the evidence) no overnight camping is getting more and more common. So again the few screw it up for the majority!
Unfortunately your correct but I think there should be harsher punishments for those who decide to ruin nature instead of banning good folks from enjoying themselves but I guess that's not going to happen sadly...
Good point it's not difficult to find a spot nr a loo, no excuses really.
There are some disgusting sheeple.
No overnight parking, generally to aid existing camp sites, so you have to pay.
I wouldn't mind if most campsites weren't charging through the roof to park in a field... I'll keep winging it until I'm told not to 👍. I'll happily support a reasonably priced campsite which I've done on a few occasions
Amazing video
Thank you 😁👍
It’s done deliberately to stop fee camping they want you to spend money. Happening everywhere even in Scotland on the N C 500. Good luck , Sod them go for it.🏴🚙⛺️
I couldn't agree more 👍. No harm in pulling up and having a kip for a night. Anyway to tax the us... Real shame but I'll keep flying the flag for us 😎
Typical rip off Britain.
Abslpubtlypve ur humour an videos keep going xxx
Supposed to say absloubtly love ur videos keep going lol xx
maybe no drones because the Elan valley is where RAF practice low flying through the valleys
Yeh that's true but according to the flight reports that day none were planed 👍
Wat a beautiful place pal ... love this and u seem to hav a fing ov attractin unwanted visitors.. ie the po. Lice 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🎩®️©️🏴⚘
It was a gorgeous place to park up mate 🙂 and I hope some carefree camps are on the way lol
@@BrendanExplores bless up brother 🙏
great location
Absolutely mate, loved this spot 🙂
This guy got a car-bq
Indeed I have 😂🙂👍
Enjoyed your videos. When you have the cooker on the shelf aren't you worried about heat rising and melting the plastic on the rear door trim?
Yeh it's a real shame buddy because Wales is so beautiful 👍. Hopefully they can introduce something here similar to Europe with support for vanlifers
There’s a wild campsite near the Elan valley that charges a tenner a night and let’s you sleep in your car. That would be boring though.
Ya see a tenner, when there's no facilities is a little steep I think and like you say, no fun in that 😉🙂👍
@@BrendanExplores compost toilets, they have a small shop and the sunsets and landscape is beautiful. It’s 20 minutes from Rhayader. It’s called Cocos, have a look at it. Great to take your little one as it’s a working farm and you can feed the animals. Huge amount of space.
Ahhh that sounds alright to be fair 🙂 thanks for the tip 👍
Cocos is epic
I've been going to The Brecon Becons and South Wales since 1984 and the only time we could park anywhere was when I was in the Military, Park Rangers patrol the car parks at night.
That's crazy... And a real shame. Surely if a ranger came across a lone van, quietly tucked in the corner they would let it be? I'd like to think so atleast..
People do park! but not in Public Car Parks, Me personally I never park in public car parks for all sorts of reasons,
I will park in a Village or Town then Tab to the camp location.
@@albert21able not a bad shout to be fair 👍 far safer
@@albert21able The best place to park is a quiet residential street, where there are lots of other cars, so one more car doesn't stand put. Parking alone in a deserted designated car park is asking for trouble.
@@blackporscheroadster6415 , Spot on, That's what I do👍
I think you'll find drones are NOT allowed because they can frighten sheep over the edge of cliffs.
@@BrendanExplores If ever you come back give me shout. I'll let you into a few secret spots where you shouldn't get disturbed.
@@matthewtanner9823 cheers buddy, I'd appreciate that 🙂
I think you’ll find that they can’t restrict drone usage if you take off and land in a public area as they don’t own or control the airspace above their land. If you were stood on their land while flying that would be a different matter.
what about jets from valley
