Awesome!!! I really enjoyed your video and all of the information you shared about the Rocky Mountaineer train through the Canadian Rockies! Looks like an amazing trip! Just added it to my Bucket List! Thank you! 😊
Wow what a view my wife and I always enjoy your videos we always wonder where you guys are going next you guys been in so many amazing places thank you so much for sharing your videos we enjoy very much
Well done vlog...it makes me want to do a train ride on the Mountaineer. Very beautiful scenery and your account of the trip was perfect! You both are awesome! And Congratulations on the birth of your grandchild! Blessings to all!
I'm Canadian so Beaver Tails are nothing special but it's nice when tourists appreciate having one. You two look like you've been on a rejuvenation journey. Jason drinking much less. Alisa embracing your new gorgeous look. Both of you enjoying more outdoor and physical adventures. I have no right to be proud of ya'll...but I so am....lol.
OMG what a Breathtaking view from your Hotel ❤❤ awesome trip to do Thank you for taking us along e joyed every video so much . Take care safe travels 🥰🥰
I grew up in Calgary but live in Vancouver now so it was fun to see you love both provinces that I love as well. Please come back soon and take a trip to Whistler via the train, you will love it! Safe travels!
That scene when you were in the 8-man canoe was probably one of the most iconic scenes of Canadiana I've ever seen. The towering mountain backdrop in a canoe with the maple leaf flag in a shimmering turquoise lake! Just wow! Enjoy the rest of your time in our Great White North! 🇨🇦 🍁
I'm Canadian, I moved to the US 12 yrs ago and haven't been back since, seeing you in one of my favorite parts of Canada made me homesick. Glad you enjoyed it, if you ever get a chance to drive from Banff to Vancouver its mind blowing, it feels like you're driving thru a picture. You just got a small taste of the Rockies in Banff, the further west you go the more spectacular it gets.
Banff and Lake Louise are one of my favorite places on Earth. It is so beautiful there. I drove from Orlando to Alaska in 2019. I spent a couple days in Banff. Had to hit the hot springs while I was there. Cant wait to take my daughter there to see it.. John Denver would be the perfect music to play.
So beautiful! Glad you got to stay there. We stayed there about 30 years ago & need to take my wife on a visit soon. The Fairmont at Banff doesn’t suck either ! Lol. I was very fortunate my parents loved to travel and show us the World.
I am so glad that you guys had a great time. Let me know next time you are in my area. You guys need to come back to Alberta a do a road trip. There's so much to see here.
Hi 👋🏻, glad you enjoyed it by train, maybe next time you'll be doing by van with Elie, and going from Banff to Vancouver and seeing the view from the other side. Looking forward to new adventures 😀 😊
Congratulations grandpa and grandma to be. It’s the best time in your lives. We have 4 year old twin granddaughters after our son/ his wife’s 5 years of trying. And a 2 year old and 4 month old girls that i retired to babysit.Enjoy the journey. Happy and safe travels to you both. 🎃🎃🎃🎃
Prior to the start of the Pandemic, I dreamt riding this train. I saw several videos about the train and now you guys just solidified my desire and willing to make arrangements to go.
Wow! just came across your videos of Vancouver to Banff via the Rocky Mountaineer. We just took this trip a week or two, just before yours. Except we were to go from Kamloops to Jasper but due to the wildfires we were diverted to Banff. (Note: Jasper lost power, water and other services but was restored a few days later after our trip.) RM added extra sightseeing trips and Oh, we got an extra night at Fairmont Banff Springs. No extra charge! I am reliving our trip through your video. Thank You!!
Enoy your travels and honest opinions. Hope you get to my neck of the woods some time. I am out in Newfoundland. Family been here since 1610. I am a traveller myself and love your content.
Glad you are enjoying my home country! The Canadian Rockies are spectacular! In the winter, you can play hockey/skate on frozen Lake Louise. Enjoy your trip! 🇨🇦
Glad to see you had such a good time there. We went there about nine years ago (September). I talked my wife into going there -- she was a little reluctant, but once she was there, she fell in love with the area! Definitely should be on the bucket list for anyone who likes nature.
Nice video series on the Rocky Mountaineer. Definitely on my bucket list. I have been to Banff and Lake Louise (and Jasper) clear back in 1999. I'll probably look into the US route first.
Love you two! Amazing trip and so appreciative you vlogging it. Did wonder if you asked why lake Louise has such a baby blue color. Never seen a lake that light blue.
Fine rock dust, produced by massive glaciers rubbing against bedrock, stays suspended in the water, reflecting light and creating the turquoise colour that Lake Louise is known for.
Oh my goodness!! What an incredible journey in Alberta you two had!! The Rocky Mountaineer alone would have WOWED me, but then those two spectacular resorts nestled in the mountains!! Jeff & I LOVED LOVED LOVED it all! Amazing guys!!
If time and money allow, a top "must do" among many things in this region is the 140 mile long highway north from Lake Louise to the town of Jasper, in Jasper National Park. Called the Icefields Parkway, as many glaciers are visible from it and it connects the 2 largest and most famous National Parks in this region, the non-stop scenery matches or exceeds anything visible from any highway or railway in Western Canada, and is on a par with the great scenic roads of the World. Tour and Express buses run along it daily in summer or you can rent a car. Jasper Town, located in Jasper National Park, is similar to Banff Town but a little smaller, a lot quieter, and has an appearance and atmosphere of past decades to it, much of the downtown is facaded in the same rock-work as is Banff Town. Nearby Maligne Lake (mah-leen) is the largest glacial lake in the Rocky Mountain Parks and a boat tour takes people to world famous "Spirit Isle" nestled in the jade-green water surrounded by a galaxy of towering cliffs and steep-sided mountains, a true sanctuary apart from the rest of the World. See Google Images for "Maligne Lake".
All I could think looking at Lake Louise and Banff is, “That’s it. I’m not buying another thing. I’m saving up to do Rocky Mountaineer.” Just might take several years lol. Glad to know solo travelers can do that canoe excursion. It looked amazing! The first video I saw of you two was your Bliss videos from 2+ years ago. Love following you now!!
You guys are amazing ! Thank you for visiting my backyard. You captured the beauty of the Canadian Rockies perfectly. It brought tears to my eyes the magnificent scenery you got. We really take for granted what we have here in the west. Though we live near the mountains our hearts are on the ocean. If you come back to Canada 🇨🇦 ( Alberta ) You'd have a place to rest, we'd love to host you. Thank you again guys, this by far, is the best series of videos I have enjoyed the most. Cheers from the North 🇨🇦 🍁 🇨🇦
You should come back Banff National Park. There is so much more to see. Moraine Lake near Lake Louise is even more beautiful. Check out one of my older videos for a quick view. You gotta come back!!!
This is such a dream! So glad to have watched this, I also wanted to do solo travel to places like Maldives and Hawaii. I always think that travel is made easier when you have the best travel gear and essentials too. The bento bag from Nomad Lane is my best carry-on bag for travels like this. Thought I'd share it with you guys too!
I live in Calgary and I've hiked most of the trails above Lake Louise, including some "secret " ones were we are the only hikers on the trial. The Lake looks even more beautiful from above. If you'd like help planing another trip to Alberta, get in touch. I'm not a travel agent, just a very enthusiastic fan of where I live. I'm a ski instructor and I hike and bike every day in the summer. I am so lucky to live here.
So glad you were able to experience fall in the Canadian Rockies. On your next RM trip come see us in Jasper :) We have 2 different Rocky Mountaineer routes in and out of Jasper (a 2 day and a 3 day). Guests should definitely add on extra days in each destination though. If you are able, rent a car and take your time, there is so much to see.
Looks like a fun excursion on Lake Louise though I wonder if I would have gotten a little frustrated. I've paddled most of my life and have done several canoe trips in Canada so not being efficient with paddling is not something I'm used to anymore. I bet the views would have more than made up for any paddling issues.
Everyone should get to do a "real" train trip. In my younger days I had the opportunity to travel between San Jose and LA several times. It was easy, relatively inexpensive, and a whole lot of fun. There was a two story car with windows all the way around and over. It was the bar car. I remember some of the seats and tables were set so you were looking out rather than forward. I could spread out my homework and pretend to do it while enjoying parts of the Calif coast that you can still only see from that train.
I loved your RM insights. I want to suggest you check out a Polar Bear viewing adventure in Churchill, Manitoba on the Hudson Bay. Fly in to Winnipeg first. Also a round trip coast to coast circle tour of the US on Amtrak is fun. I love to travel globally and appreciate all the content you create. Congratulations on your impending Grandparent status!
We rode the train from Provo Utah to Michigan but the only stop was Chicago we would never do that again tracks are really rough and we didn’t have a private sleeping room so sleeping was not very nice
Next time, drive your RV to Banff and drive the Icefields Parway to Jasper for more majestic scenery, surpassing what you have already seen. Also, check out the Going to the Sun Highway across Glacier / Waterton National Park.
I am so happy you visited Canada 🇨🇦. I never visited Lake Louise and it looks astonishingly beautiful. I have been in Banff and enjoyed that trip very much. Congrats on the bundle of joy :)
Wow. Spectacular footage😮❤
For those that can not travel, thank you so much for your videos
I’m from Alberta but have been living in Korea for the last 13 years… this reminded me so much of my childhood camping in the Rockies ❤
Such breathtaking imagery, what beautiful scenery that you shared with us. Great video and thanks for sharing.
So glad you guys did this. We love our home & enjoy sharing. So many travellers think we have nothing special here... 🤷
Glad you enjoyed our little piece of heaven - someday we hope to ride the Rocky Mountaineer, too
You have brought back memories of my holiday in the Canadian Rockies 20 years ago. Thank you.
Awesome!!! I really enjoyed your video and all of the information you shared about the Rocky Mountaineer train through the Canadian Rockies! Looks like an amazing trip! Just added it to my Bucket List! Thank you! 😊

What, Beaver tails are awesome, you can get different toppings each time. We have a Beaver Tail store downtown in the City I live in.
OMG what a Breathtaking view from your Hotel ❤❤ awesome trip to do

I grew up in Calgary but live in Vancouver now so it was fun to see you love both provinces that I love as well. Please come back soon and take a trip to Whistler via the train, you will love it! Safe travels!
Fan for years and Lisa, you are radiant!
That was absolutely gorgeous! It's in my backyard and you have convinced me to jump off the cruise ship and jump on the train!
Mountains are breathtaking!
I'm Canadian, I moved to the US 12 yrs ago and haven't been back since, seeing you in one of my favorite parts of Canada made me homesick. Thought you guys would enjoy Lake Louise-Banff area of Canada. One of Canada’s pride and joys.
I live in canada and have been to those places several times over the years and it is really a slice of heaven here on earth. Glad you made the trip.

Thank you for sharing such an awesome trip. Really enjoyed the vlogs.
26 years ago we did Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper for our honeymoon. It was magical.
Glade u liked some my country.
Prior to the start of the Pandemic, I dreamt riding this train. I saw several videos about the train and now you guys just solidified my desire and willing to make arrangements to go.

It looks amazing! How much would something like this cost?
We rode the train from Provo Utah to Michigan but the only stop was Chicago we would never do that again tracks are really rough and we didn’t have a private sleeping room so sleeping was not very nice
how can it be 37 degrees and Alyssa is without a jacket??? Girl!!!!

One thing I've never had is a BeaverTail lol. Too sweet for me. I've had Bannock and funnel cakes, but not a Beavertail
Back when they were first introduced, they offered savoury ones like ham and cheese etc. My preference for sure.
