Smooth touchdown! Nicely handled PPP! In VMC, it’s not a huge problem losing comms with Approach control due to altitude. Approach control normally knows where poor signals occur and are not surprised. Tower cancels IFR flight plans so you’re all set in that area. I was once flying with a client and it was his first time in his jet. I departed Memphis on a departure procedure and Approach control switched me to MEM Center. The plane stopped transmitting on both radios, but I could hear fine. Likely an integrated avionics issue. I squaked 7600 (I had to think hard to remember which squak to use) and flew all the way to South Carolina using the IDENT button to acknowledge ATC instructions. Cancelled IFR on the ground by phone. Restarted the plane and both radios worked perfect again…. It was a little stressful at first but then I settled in comfortably to just having to press the IDENT button then entire way… 😂
My suggestion would have been to let TWR know the deal during some dead air time and they can relay via the landline if needed. If CTR had any questions they would probably call TWR anyway to check on you. 7600 code would have mucked things up (any 7XXX code makes you flash on all scopes).
Good job!!!
👍✅👏

That definitely keeps it exciting!

I didn’t squawk 7600, I think after breaking the squelch I could hear them answering me, just very weak and hard to understand. All good.
Is the normally no coverage there or did center miss a transmitter change? Looks like you had your hands full!
I heard him switch others, no biggie.
