That instructor is lazer focused. There were so many opportunities where he could have started bullshitting but he never took his focus off the task. Very professional
His constant focus and professionalism + words of encouragement and feedback were great. I have no idea how to fly an aircraft but his style reminds me a lot of some of the best trainers I worked with in my own career. (Electric locomotive driver)
Awesome flight Steve !! Loved the video. Thank you !!!
I think a lot of that is it's a jet and you have a pilot that's never flown it before. I'm sure he's a little more chill in different circumstances.
Thought the same thing! Especially on the landing. Hyper focused!
you noticed that too huh..
The instructor is soft spoken and very clear. He is the perfect guy to have as a teacher in an aircraft.
He also kinda turned Steve's perfect approach into a floater because he didn't trust him to not buzz the trees
Agreed. ....
As someone interested in learning to fly jets, this was an EXCELLENT introduction to commercial jet flight.
As a non pilot civilian this was a blast to watch. I could almost feel the chops and nervous tension myself during the final approach.
yep, same...
Everyone in this video is a civilian…
As a non pilot civilian Jesus I suppose you call Walmart workers shelf coordination experts
What a great instructor! His encouraging direction on the approach was spot on!
Yea right, didn’t want to make jet look bad on touchdown, because sooo many pilots have run that thing off the end of the runway. Worst invention made by man, a jet Without “thrust reversers”, it only has wheel brakes and if the runway is wet, duh guess what happens every time, your going to the end, like “holy crap stop” your going to the end. I’ve been in right seat on one and they’re really cool on takeoff, but on landing you realize death is just one little mistake away every time, like too fking close. It’s really bad if you blow a tire.
@@tropicthndrPerhaps flying isn't for you.
Semper Fidelis Marine@@MooneyPilot
flying and the internet clearly aren't for you@@tropicthndr
Can someone please explain why the planes manufacturers put the yoke on the left side like that?? Unless it was designed for a left handed pilot. I could never be comfortable with that set up being right handed. I'd probably end up flying into the Everglades just for that reason alone. It seems totally ass backwards.
That instructor is The BOMB! Good to know we have him passing his skills and knowledge on to others.
Oh, that last hole, er, cliff was just sick!
The beautiful bird!!!
That instructor is a MISSILE. He really made a good job guiding you through all flight stages on the Vision Jet and that landing was incredibly smooth. Nice video Steve-O!
That approach and landing was unreal, great job Steve!
Its so cool to hear the "excitement" in your voice Steve
Also Charlie's voice is the PERFECT CFI voice. Super focused, calm, clear instruction.
the robo-instructor was awesome. No feelings at all, he's iron made
I wouldn't say that. He had some laughs and fun, but clearly understood the risks of having a pilot inexperienced on type, flying into a very challenging, mountainous airport. That calls for serious oversight and scrutiny, not joking and screwing around.
I wish I had the time and money to learn to fly from that instructor. I would feel completely confident after learning from him. Absolute professional!
Unbelievable instructor. That dude is on point. Very professional and military like
Feel like you need a hug.. idk
except he keeps touching the stick..
@@repentandbelieveinJesusChrist8Is this the god that will torture me forever if I don’t love him right?
Anyway, yes, great instructor from what I can tell. Does he have a channel? Also, curious about him touching the stick.
@@thudtheace - The instructor is touching the stick because that's where the radio transmit button is (even for the pilot not flying). He has to touch the stick in order to speak to ATC.
@@droge192 Exactly, he was actually totally hands off the flight controls.. must not have been easy!
Isn't this the best thing about aviation, no matter how experienced you are, there's always a plane that can challenge you, an airport that can challenge you and experience that can make you better! love it. Great video and what a beautiful airport.
That's the best thing about life as well as aviation.
What a blast! As a private pilot, I was transported into the cockpit with those awesome professionals. I felt myself trying to compensated for all the descent bumps and chops and finessing plane in into flare with Steve all the way to touch down. Heaven's Landing indeed! Great job guys!!
Lies.
Man, what a lesson that even a pilot as experienced as Steveo can experience nervousness, intimidation, and also childlike excitement lol with a new aircraft and new, tricky approach. Never stop learning as they say I guess. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
One of those approaches we went to war together! Love that!
Yeah exactly what I was thinking
love seeing an accomplished pilot get excited and nervous. we better ourselves by leaving our comfort zones and Charlie is clearly a steely eyed missile man. Hope you enjoyed the trip.
Charlie Purnell
@@averygentry35 did I just witness the Charlie Purnell Maneuver?
Steveo, you are literally cool as hell in a plane you’re not familiar with, weather, an instructor to satisfy - and you’re not phased at all !
Respect man !!!
I feel your excitement flying the Vision Jet. I'm a 800 hour private pilot and I got to fly a CJ3 on two ocassions where I got to take off and land it both times. It was the greatest moment of my life.
After almost 40 years of his career in aviation, from flying A-10s in the Gulf War to Captain of a Super 80 at AA, my father retires from FedEx this week. He's the reason I love planes so much. So in honor of his flying, I bought him a kolb Firestar II
Impressive! As an aviation geek myself, I know this must have cost you a small fortune. Kolb Firestar SS II doesn't come cheap
Yes, you're right. He retired June this year and I have been saving up my investment returns from Paul Democritou
Amazing to see another who invests with Paul Democritou. I and a colleague of mine invested $100,000 each into our portfolio and he doubled it after first 3 month of trading, i heard he executes trades daily. He is finally getting the popularity he deserves! Great man
I can see you know about him. Having assets and not being able to profit from them can be very frustrating, big thanks to expert Paul Democritou, as I make huge profits trading with him on weekly basis. He's definitely the best.
This is not the first time I'm hearing about Paul Democritou and his exploits in the trading world but i have no idea how to reach him
Best instructor ever...always focused and making sure the pilot is calm at the controls👏🏼👌🏽👊🏽

total pro
retired MIA TRACON/Tower guy here. Easy for you maybe picking up your IFR in the air, you made a lot of work for MIA/PBI and Miami Center for coordination just to get you your IFR with Miami Center. Maybe a slight delay on ground picking up IFR but from an ATC side, way less work for them! You were in
PBI airspace within minutes due to your speed, they don't have a copy of the IFR flight plan. While they were trying to access it, you were entering Miami Center airspace. And they had access to the flight plan. Just info from the ATC side! Still like your videos
I agree, expecting a controller to to read a clearance on a busy frequency is allot to ask unless it's for a reason like changing weather conditions. But to save time on the ground I think it's a little unreasonable.
@@rdawgz866 if you are busy, the aircraft is in the next controllers airspace and you can't help him. That is pretty much what happened as he went from Miami approach to Palm Beach Approach to Miami Center. I have also been so busy there is no way you have time to issue a clearance to an airborne VFR. As was the case here, the weather as they climbed wasn't that great and at some point probably they would not be happy if they never got the IFR clearance.
Totally agree, most professional pilots understand this and accept the delay to be a team players and to mitigate risk- it's just part of the price of flying IFR in the flight levels. Maybe the instructor doesn't have a lot of type ratings and is still thinking like a piston GA pilot?
Agreed. Would have been a fun day to receive a reroute for which you don't have enough gas for. Pick it up on the ground amateur.
I was wondering also how much time is saved. I have found it much easier to get clearance on ground , especially in a busy area. Great video on the rest
What an awesome instructor! I felt like I could have landed the plane with him guiding me :)
Awesome teamwork guys! Kudos to Steve for landing a plane he's never flown before, butter smooth too, and kudos to Charlie for great guidance on the approach and help getting it on the ground. Both pilots laser focussed, just with Steve you can't tell.
You could feel the teeth gritting on that approach and touchdown. Nice job. And thumbs up to Charlie and the flight instruction crew. Someone mentioned laser focus; that and pure professionalism; an excellent combo for an instructor. Hoping to see more V1 tech rides with Charlie.
I attended Berichi Aviation and I can tell it is a top notch flight school.
Chief CFI Charlie Berichi is an exceptional CFI, great role model for every pilot and the people in his school.
instructor is a top G has the money the girls the planes the focus and is on top of game. 1%er
I loved how you explained all the different parts of the cockpit and what they did. It really helped me to understand how a jet aircraft works.
Totally agree with all the comments on the instructor. He is excellent very calm, knows his stuff and keeps his student ahead of what’s coming.
Really enjoyed this one! SF-50 is a neat little jet and the cabin is so nice. Nice shot of the C-47 at the end too!
wow, how'd you know it was a C-47, I was trying to figure that out
@@harpoon_bakery162 Can't mistake a Gooney Bird!
ha ha, i didn't know that's its nickname, grand stuff!! thanks!!! @@squelchtone
That approach and landing gave me anxiety but pulled off that feat gracefully. Defo deserved an applause 👏 And Charlie man hats off 🫡
Really great instructor. Explanations, assistance, supportive. Excellent.
Stunning scenery! Oh and Heaven’s Landing is great too.
Bravo for this difficult landing with your first jet Vision flight. A great moment to live with you ! Thank you !
That landing was tense but it awesome the way you handled it. Well done. And Charlie is a great instructor. He's very professional, clear and on point with his instructions.
Amazing landing exclamation Ashley and Julia looking forward to see some videos with them and how they instruct and which aircraft they prefer. Congratulations again on the amazing flight with the vision jet.
Charlie is the consumate flight instructor. Congrats Steveo on a beautiful approach, and landing. Best part, no chute needed!🤣
🤣🤣
Instructor has such a calming voice.... i love this little jet, I'm not a professional pilot or in training ..just an ordinary joe but love watching these videos!
Pretty gnarly approach for flying an unfamiliar plane. Don’t know if I’d want to do that with passengers, personally. Very nice job though, and seems like a top flight school.
I fly the VisionJet regularly in FS2020. It is awesome to see you fly it in real life. Thanks for sharing, Stevo!
I just finished my PPL and I'm about to start my CPL. Thanks, steveo, for the cool, calm and collected attitude you imbued into my flying. This video and every one you make always helps me on my journey into aviation! Can't get enough of your flying.
My son will be going to college in Florida for professional pilot soon. I have never been a big fan of flying but since his interest in flying began I have watched many hours of flight training. I may even give flying a try myself. If I do, I want this guy to be my instructor. No nonsense, laser focus...that is what I like.
you flew that like a champ and absolutely stuck that landing. Congrats.. what a lavish, nimble little jet. I love it
Dude this instructer is like hyper focused on detail, realy good job
Thanks for sharing this jet experience with us Steveo! Great video, great company and a nice little jet! I really liked, how you greased that landing with an unfamiliar aircraft - congratulations!
What an awesome airport to fly into in the mountains! Instructor did a great job!
Greased it. Fantastic instructor Steve. I would feel totally comfortable with him. Very focused and professional.
the user-friendliness in these modern jets / glass cockpits is oustanding. amazing compared to just a few decades ago.
Can’t wait to see what you do next with your next job!
I love Charlie's instruction. I'm sure he turns out great pilots.. That approach and landing was unreal, great job Steve!.
Awesome video
that approach was something else amazonprime39, also can you tell Austin congrats on getting into the airlines :)
air force pOop 69 lmao x
It was no airforceproud though ;)
@@Rick1984FL Lets be fair. Airforceproud would have landed 10 feet short of the runway lol

what a very chill but very attentive instructor! awesome job steve!
What a fun flight! Thank you for having us along, enjoy safely out there!
Thats a pretty nice plane I live in Ocala, FL and John Travolta has A estate with its own airstrip just like that called JUMBOLAIR AVIATION ESTATES
One of the guys at my local airport had a Vision jet. He bought a Honda jet, and then sold the Vision. Got to see both a number of times. Gorgeous planes!
Reason for selling through Vision? No bathroom?
Great to see SteveO again. I couldn't stop smiling as you approached Heaven's Landing. That place is stunning, immaculately maintained.
Fantastic vidéo all, thank you 😊
Something happens in cockpits all the time, interruption. Good job picking up the departure briefing without skipping it.
Awesome flight and yes the instructor is excellent, friendly and focused.
Thank you, as usual. Beautiful airplane also.
The plane seems to close of structure of the french training fighter Fouga Magister from 70's.
Wish i had an instructor like him during my CPL & IFR, his teaching style is great
Awesome instructor. Remained calmed and encouraged you along the whole flight especially on that landing! 🙌
Awesome! I love seeing a great pilot get this excited with a new adventure.
I find it incredible that so many checklists and processes have to take place before takeoff and landing - all which a bird does with a flap of the wings..great video thank you for sharing
Glad you got to visit Waterfall Club. The par 3 second hole is EPIC (whole place is actually). Cheers!
That was great. Lovely jet. Great flying. Smooth landing.
It's interesting How a different plane ✈️ could intimidate such a great pilot like Steve. You need a different feeling with every plane.
Imagine hearing “triple 7” on frequency and it’s just one of these things.
Definitely see the difference between the very focused professional flight instructor and the recreational pilot/social media influencer
What a superb instructor. His big great voice helps!
Love the sound of engine start.
Love the checklist on screen.
Amazed by its performance, wow.
Vision Jet would be a neat replacement for your TBM?!
You seemed to get flying with a stick!
An awesome watch!
..way to go Steveo..
that was really a tense..and heart-pounding approach..and keep em coming..please..
Great Instructor and video
I’ve seen the vision taxiing around many different airports. Surprised how loud it was on takeoff, wondering how loud the cabin noise is. Sweet airplane. Expensive toy but very nice.
I dont even fly but that was so cool you guys made me feel like pilots are real people and get pressure like anyone thanks
what a fabulous jet. thank you for this video
Use every bit of runway just as a good practice! Love it.....great instructor pilot on board....
That cockpit is beautiful.
🤡
Fun group to fly with! Very easy going. Good job Steve.
I felt like I was in the cockpit with you Steve...I literally felt the nervous energy in there but I also felt your confidence. Brilliant.
Great flight. Thanks 🎉
Definitely about to go and fire up Flight Sim and setup a landing into Heavens Landing in a vision jet. That was incredible.
x2
Best part of the video was the guy teeing off a small mountain to a green 500 feet below 32:40
That was a heck of a landing! Kudos to you all!
Awesome instructor! I am a retired UH-60 Pilot, that was a great flight! I just subscribed to your channel.
Agreed!
Agreed. I am a CFI and I love his videos! They are an awesome crew. Hope to see more Berichi and Stevo videos. Something international maybe? Just a thought :)
clean cockpit, well done
Yup yup
Fantastic Video Steve. Beautiful Scenery. And the C-47 flying by was So Cool. Have a Safe Flight.
Awesome! First time ever flying this bird and then immediately such a difficult approach!
That was exciting! Well done!
Absolutely GREASED that landing. Gorgeous work, Steve
I’ve always admired your confidence. When you said you were a little nervous. I just remembered I have to land a E-190 for the first time next week. 😅
E-190 is a big girl
How was the E-190 landing?
How did you do?
@@teamscrew great! Thx for asking :)
My training captain coached me through it. Similar to this video. Straight into the deepend. 35 knot gusting. Visual night circuit, right downwind join for a hand flown base and final, zero moon light and descending over pitch black land/ beach/ water.
Can safely say, the previous 5 years on turboprops gave me a lot more confidence then I was even expecting. Daunting. But managed to get a smooth landing and reasonably square circuit (hooray haha) rewarding! Are you a pilot?
jets are a whole new beast! 50 ton doesn’t like to slow down and go down at the same time 😅
I have A LOT to learn!
@@BEmbalmingU I’ve commented below! :) are you a pilot/ in training?
I was getting nervous for you Stevo. That landing... sheesh.
I just flew the VisionJet in the sim last night and I can't imagine pulling off that approach into Heaven's Landing like you did.
Great job! And the instructor... wow. Super calm, laser focused, very professional. Awesome video as always.
Great video! Such a cool aircraft and nice landing! Cool that you ended with the C47 flying by.
What an awesome instructor! lovely to watch it as I felt like I could have landed the plane with him guiding me inside the cabin.
Excellent instruction and flying.
Wow, what an awesome flight Stevo! Great landing despite the bumps. The mountain views are just heavenly! Thanks again for the great video!
that flightdeck is space age stuff. though having the yoke on the left hand seems an issue, should still be a wheel for both hands.
Guess you've never sat in an Airbus. They also use sidesticks, so only one handed operation. It's not a big deal at all.
Nothing like going in to "Lukla" for your first landing attempt in a new aircraft. LOL I am sure that was a white knuckler! Awesome job Steveo!!!
Great instructor , no nonsense and professional , a great example of how to instruct .
With these glass cockpits,
I seen you punching those numbers, seems like it would be easy to put wrong numbers if you didn’t pay attention
Great episode SteveO. Beautiful scenery . Awesome aircraft. Great flight instruction. That's a challenging airfield.
