- We continued our journey through Slavonija and reached the beautiful city of Dakovo! We loved the center square with the enormous cathedral, visiting the horse farm, trying some delicious food and meeting some lovely people!

We walked along these roads when I was serving my military service in the former Yugoslavia. Unfortunately, they didn't let us into the wine cellars.😁

Slavonia has a lot to offer even beyond usual Croatian stereotypes about this region. I'm very glad you've done this great videos! 👍❤
But there's still much more to see like Vukovar, amazing medieval Ilok, Jankovac nature park with waterfalls,...
Even my hometown, second largest city in Eastern Croatia - Slavonski Brod that is very often unfairly neglected has interesting stuff to explore and enjoy in! Here you'll find largest baroque era star shaped fort in Croatia, monumental and interesting Franciscan monastery, beautiful promenade at the Sava river or Kej, unique Splavarska ulica in recreational zone Vijuš/ Poloj, you can enjoy your coffe, ice cream at one of if not the largest central sqare in Croatia where you should also visit completely renovated and open for public (contact Tourist board before) fomous writer Ivana Brlić Mażuranić house.
Very soon there are gonna be programs of annual manifestation dedicated to this children literature writer and so on...
Vukovar and Illok videos are coming soon! We didn't make it to Slavonski Brod on that trip, but it's on our list, so we'll get there eventually! 🥰

Believe me, I could go a long way when it comes to recommendations for Slavonia and Baranja including Brod and Brodsko-posavska županija!
For instance, I forgot to mention beautiful Poloj recreational zone with probably one of the largest continental sand beaches and cool Sidro cafe bar that is great place to sit and immerse yourself in this natural and relaxing scenery.

The strip adjacent to the bar is nice place to hang and have a coffee, beer, a bite. At the end of that street is a mosque that was converted to a church. Nice community, not far from Brod and Osijek.

Yes, and Lipica was where the Lipica (Lipizanner) horses were first bred by the direction of the Hapburg dynasty who established the "Spanish Schoo" of training with is different from modern dressage.
