My watchmaker, who is a really good friend of mine, services my submariner for 100 euros. It takes 5-6 hours. And he is qualified and used to service Zenith and Omega.
charge 500 to service a Rolex. And I do have access to genuine parts. Whats funny is he says heavy parts in price. A set of hands for rolex is literally 89 dollars. lol And Rolex will not make a part for you. They will just decline the repair. They do not carry old parts

Klarlund in Copenhagen has been choose by the factory to repair the new 3235 for Europe. I think he said 10.000 watches nned repair because the new movments have many errors. Childdises we call it. Omega and many other brandes takes 10 to 16 weeks. I know a wachmaker from Swatchgroup who said that Omega cosr extra in service becuase Omega wants it to cost extra. He compared to the service of Longines that had the same service. And it was not the Omega parts that was much more expensive. Perhaps Rolex also charege extra because they can. Having that said, the service ceneters and watchmakers are some of the best. No doubt. And some of the tool to fix cases are amazing.

I am not going to explain the obvious, except that a Rolex Chronometer is a horologic instrument made to aid you to navigate to any position on our planet at any time down to the second. If you think a Rolex watch is a piece of jewelry then perhaps having a Rolex is not for you.
