In this video, we will go through the setup needed to connect your iPhone or iPad to OBS to be used as a webcam via the cable or with NDI using the OBS Camera App from the Apple App store.

The obs camera is really good. You can make adjustments to your lighting with it also

It´s possible to chance the aspact ratio of the cam into 16:9 to fill the whole frame in OBS? And its possible to change the lenses at iPhone 11 pro between the tele, wideangle and the ultra wideangle camera in this app?

Thanks for sharing brother. I am planning to use this for mix reviews with my clients directly from my Cubase, maybe using Landr. Using Zoom currently.
I don’t like the fact i have to install iTunes on my DAW in order to use the iPad camera… it’s really a piece of corporate bloatware that i don’t need bogging down my Computer. I have plenty other ways of playing back mp3s in Windows, and i can use my spotify subscription for streaming.

Hello & thank you for a great video! I followed your instructions & was able to use my 11 Pro Max & iPad Pro. Although I experience lagging, I will go into settings & try to fix it.I will test streaming to Facebook live in a few days.

Tried this but iTunes is no longer supported in Monterey OS on m1. Paid for the OBS cam plugin but could never get the iOS option in OBS. Any solution to this?

Friends! My Iphone 11 pro max doesn't connect. I did everything according to the instructions and installed Itunes and even saw the phone in OBS but in the app it also does not connect and does not show a picture. The app says NOT CONNECTED. Help!
The NDI camera on iOS is great. I use mine with a iphone lan adaptor. Works great

Dick Huggins I use a iPhone lightning to LAN adaptor. This gives me Ethernet access rather than wifi

The reason this stood out to me because webcam technology is not where it should be. The Logitech Brio is five plus years old and compare that to phone camera...it’s embarrassing. Looking to use my iPhone 12 Pro Max and use the best camera I have available without spending more money. Thanks for the video.

Hey AJay. What steps does one need to take to make sure WiFi connected cameras function well for streaming? Using this app via NDI protocol, and having severe dropped frames during stream
it is mainly a strong reliable wifi network that doesn't have a lot of traffic. If I would do this, I would have a separate wifi network only for the cameras so nothing else could cause any issues with the video/audio coming over the network

What if I want to use my iPhone camera 50 ft from obs is there like a long cable to recommend?
You could try a USB to cat6 converter to cover that distance
If computer is connected to ethernet, will the iphone/iPad stream video via internet as well when using the cable? If so that'd be amazing! This might end up being my new church setup until I can justify a stream deck or find the free stream deck app that will work best for Mac OBS! Thanks brother! 👌🏾👍🏾🙏🏾

with the iPhone 12 it was quite laggy so we could not use it as a realtime camera.

How can i extend the cable to connect my iphone over a distance of 10 - 20meters.
You could use a usb to Ethernet extender but I cannot guarantee the results at that distance

*!!! HELP !!!* I bought a camcorder (A digital Video Camera). When I connect it with OBS, it is not showing full screen. Fit screen does not do it, changing the resolution on OBS does not help either. When i click on Configure video on OBS, I am not able to make any changes. Have you had this issue before? Can you please help? If you go to my channel, you will see the past few church services that we had, i had to put a green background to cover the default black background that shows in the area that the camera image is not covering. Did you open up iTunes before going into OBS? I had to do that on mine to get that Trust this computer message then mine worked.

If you are using OBS V28 that would be the reason why nothing shows. Very few plugins work with the latest version of OBS

I’m currently using my iPhone as my camera
No matter what I do, (and I've followed 6 pages of google suggestions), I can't get the USB connection to stay. It constantly connects then says Waiting for Connection. Using an iphone 11 pro max on windows 10. Plugged directly into my nvidia 2070 super. So what the heck is going on?! I've tried using itunes, updating drivers, turning off power management, removing drivers, updating itunes, restarting phone, restarting privacy settings - NOTHING is working

Ended up buying EpocCam, kinda wish obs studio would do what it does. I can use it as an actual video capture and run it through nvidia broadcast. I couldnt do that with obs camera. Also completely perfect stream for two hours with no issues. If epoccam had 60fps output and higher resolution options I’d never go back!

I wouldn't as i have cameras but this would work in smaller settings and not in a large church
