once my head was so loose, it was riding fine, infact it was running quiet and well, but i kept feeling hot oil on my legs, the gap between the cylinder and head was so much i could see daylight,
amazing it had compression to run.
Thanks, Eugene, for all your help to the gas-bike community!!! Just ordered my kit. Thanks for keeping us safe and on the road!
Right on! Glad to help

Thanks for the tip just did this but was able to find thin nuts so I can put the acorns on top for the look 😉
You can also use 8 mm couplers to add surface area for cooling.
Will be ordering my kit soon. Just made the switch to PK80 from a YD100. Dig all the ATHF shirts and tats man!!
Aquadoink Side Pieces are coming soon !
your the man brother . going to buy me a new torque wrench . i really do have one somewhere but i got more tools then i need lol . for real i have a tote in my shed full of sockets . just sockets lol . i looked all over my shed for that torque wrench i couldn't find it . i bet it shows up right after i buy a new one to lol . again thanks for all your information . im still not brave enough to port and polish but i been watching you all that do it and it dont look to hard . maybe someday i will give it a shot . right now just worried about getting things running lol . still waiting on parts i think they had to make the metal to make the part or they shipped it through canada lol . if you ever got anything from canada you know you will get it from china twice as fast lol . take care my friend see ya in the next one .
Thanks Dude!
Where are people getting those engine stands for bike motors?
I’ll try to find me some of those washers
Are belv washer reusable not like the lock washer
I would still recommend a thin copper head gasket from bike berry they withstand it better
Eugene I am trying to split my crank case do you have a video
Not yet. Fred Chelminski has some of a complete teardown. Look for his
What color prematex can I use to use for a head gasket
dont. use stock gasket or copper. stock is fine as long as you don't overtighten
Another tip....Lightly coat the aluminum gasket with copper RTV. Coat should be light enough to see thru. This will aid in the seal. The RTV will carbonize when heat hits it helping seal better.
good tip
thanks
Sear/ Craftsman sells an affordable torque wrench. Under $20. 0 to 12 ft pounds. Perfect when you don't require a lot of torque.
Head gasket useless?
Hey I'm not sure why I have black oil leaking near the top of the head of the engine some one please help me it's a brand new engine and don't k ow what to do I keep burning my foot because of the oil while riding lol
Same exact thing is happening to me
I think it may be normal
Maybe just burned up oil and its penetrating the head gasket
After I noticed this I torqued my nuts down after the engine got mostly/completely cool
Going to see if it leaks next time I ride
@@vincent10717 yes I tried doing that but I still saw it leaking for some reason I'm going to open the top of my cylinder head and see if my gasket has a crack on it or if I stripped my nuts but I hope it's nothing major. Please let me know if torqing the nuts helped you fix the issue
Could be porosity in the head, a cracked head or a bad spark plug seal
@@osmoz1179 Rode it a bit and I do notice a veryy small amount of oil leaking compared to more oil before I serviced the head. I think I just originally didn't tighten the head bolts enough. It's way better than overtightening though, I will say that. Before I retightened late yesterday, I was even leaking out of the spark plug. So far there is no more leaking there (torqued the plug down with about 9ft-lbs using a torque wrench).
Also, if you want to tighten anything you probably already know this but just be cautious so you don't strip the studs. Use a small ratchet to tighten the nuts on the head and I found that using a torque wrench for the spark plug worked (but start with very low torque and work your way up).
@@vincent10717 oh ok I'll try that so your engine doesn't leak no more right?
On my 50cc 2stoke
