That's awesome that you guys got the Daynite truck spinning and the kiwi Camaro rollover! Two major events that eluded me during the event!
Hey, I saw David Freiburger @5:39 and @8:48!!! I didn't know this lake is 37 times larger in area than Bonneville until I read this month's Hot Rod mag! I'm surprised more people from overseas don't come here chasing records. Good to see the "Bronze Aussie" still getting raced after Rod Hadfield sold it. So many cool cars there. Thanks for the upload, guys
Like most things.. shipping and available time.
Great vid. Really enjoyed it. Some behind the scenes look, some racing (start and finish), some insights, race team profiles, etc. Good production, good camera work, non offensive narration. Thanks very much!
Not only is visiting OZ on My bucket list, but seeing this event is a big reason I want to go.. Excellent vids BTW!
You guys need more subscribers you deserve it. The content is A1
I agree! It's almost a crime to see such great content going largely unnoticed. by the majority
i couldnt agree more! Ive bought nearly every streetmachine magazine and im so happy they now do youtube. Would love to see more content like the turbo taxi, like junkyard revivals
KCRskidder Me too. I've been reading Street Machine since I was about 11, and I'm 36 now. I LOVE the content they produce. I want more, more, more!!! ;)
Fantastic. More like this please Street Machine.
Piss the bloody music off so we can hear the bloody music of the internal combustion engine.
Sounds like an old Alby Mangels soundtrack... or is that 'soundcrap'?
"Bout time we got some action out of these fellas" I fkn lol'd. Great vid, new sub here.
This is a great video, great job
Awesome!
Wish you got more shots of Bronze Aussie, they ran 266mph this year
Be there next year, all going to plan.
Watched a 1930's chev Ute flathead pulled 265mph at Bonneville and here's this doing 200 plus with two flatheads ! looking at that thing it looked like a 400 plus car
Went there back in 2004. Haven’t seen Animal’s face for a while hehe. Is the pelican still there?
Would love to do it but its dear like any Motor Sport is there a cheaper price class ?
I love this type of racing, Thankyou for the video, I hope to see more like this. BTW tell Animal to "Fuck Off" for me.LMFAO..... Cheers :)
Can anyone tell me if the BOSS STREAMLINER S/UF 925 ever run?
Where are the Pulse Jets ?
the only question that I have is, how bad are the flies? it was bad enough out at roxby, can't imagine it out there haha
Its probably not that bad given almost nothing lives out there
I was thinking that, even flies probably wouldn't survive for long out there, but the little buggers just keep going
I've experienced plenty worse in fairly developed regional towns, but if you're coming straight from the city you'll definitely know that they're there. 😉
I’ve been going for the last 8 years to this event and yes the flies can in abundance.2018 event, there appeared to be less flies though.the lake is surrounded by a sheep station and I’m told,no sheep where kept in the paddocks next to the lake for a few weeks before the event.maybe no sheep shit, less flies?
animal, is my spirit animal.
Is this place @ or below sea level? If it is, you could conceivably go faster than Bonneville@ WOOHOO!
It's 397 feet above sea level
Not a very professional race organiser. Also from 9:04 the salt lake surface has a layer of water on it.
Any rain, even a very small amount, sits on a thin layer on the surface and won't soak in. The water evaporates quickly in 40°C + heat.
rude, obnoxious, uncouth, smartarse; it is a downside of Downunder, particularly in the backblocks
any accidents??
13:35
I am so fed up listening to music when I could be listening to engines and their unique music.
Stop doing this !!!!!!
The only complaint is to cut the stupid git-box music !
Ryno Insurance is distracting THUMBS DOWN
Poor journalism, you guys need to do something like report the event, numbers people, like great to see the cars but how about throwing up a few numbers on the screen , or is that too bloody hard.
ta bort musikskramlet för helvete så man hör motorerna
Dump the music and the miles please. Half a century ago we changed to kilometres.Thanks.
Ruben Acevedo Salt Lake Racing has been and always will be measured in MPH
ok
Just stop the music-video would be tops.
Feckin MUZAK ?? YOYOYOYOY. Video would be sooooooooooo much better if we could hear the engines uninterrupted
get rid of the bloody music. internal combustion at speed is all i want to here.

Spread the word mate :)
