What a load of rubbish. Why would you even say that? It's not as if you have a clue what the average 9 or 10-year-old watches. It was one of my favourite shows when I was that age but my kids had their own shows too. They loved the stuff on wildlife, making things art and history and the TV channels are awash with that stuff. They have ten times more stuff to watch than we did. It's not all cartoons and rubbish.

What a great show How was. Very interesting and from an era when the presenters were well spoken and didn’t need to shout or show off to the camera. Today’s offerings aren’t even worth watching. How I miss the 70’s 😞👍

Loved How, always tried to see it. Jack was my favourite, he just had a way of making things seem fantastic. I liked them all, however. It was a brilliant programme of the time, and a shame there isn’t something like it now. Rather like a Popular Mechanics magazine for the TV, that’s what we need.

I still have two How original paper back books. but from my youth How was my second favourite show learning so much practical information from the full team of presenters. which is why I love Magic effects, art , woodwork, animals ,explosives of the stage kind. My third show was ''vision on'' for all my art related stimuli. fourth was ''Animal magic''. fifth was ''Blue Peter'' and anything with sticky back plastic. and charity fund raising efforts of its viewers. For my sci-fi addiction at 6th ''The Tomorrow's people'' .But first will always be ''Dr Who''........But back to How who remembers watch on Black and White tv and a spinning disc to see colour on a black and white set. and how to create the impossible triangle. and so many more memories of the show and a shame show is not still running

With the Indian greeting of "How", I have to wonder if that wasn't somehow inspired by Grey Owl's two command performances in 1937 / 38 for the King. Grey Owl certainly took the country by storm back then..... his books I suspect, would have been especially appreciated by Jack.
