This was not always the case. We use to buy veal ham and egg pie (Gala Pie) from a butcher who made his own. I think what you're describing here is technological advancement. At one time we were NOT able to land a man on the moon. And perhaps more importantly, there was a time when gala pies did NOT have a continuous egg running through them.

Not for my grandfather, who died a slow painful death from lung cancer in 1981! ... Maybe you have a different definition of "happy?" ... The smoking ban was the best law ever!
@@marcse7en if he died in 81, that was the period when the dangers of cigarettes were just coming to the for front. I started smoking in 79...... stopped 7 years ago. I think you miss the point. We (as kids) were exposed to many things.....now kids (and society on a whole) are "protected" to much.
