Larry: "I'm not a conspiracy theorist... normally". What Napoleon said about history still holds true, in spite of the internet. The goal isn't to be a conspiracy theorist, but you can't reject something only on the basis that it doesn't conform to a version of events endorsed by the media establishment. For example, I don't recall ever hearing the word "Oligarchy" uttered on Fox, MSNBC, the Daily Show, Alex Jones etc. yet it's the most accurate description of the empirical state of reality.

Very articulated presented. It’s so obviously what’s going on - the profits don’t lie. This is addictive & depressing.

I keep saying that Iran would be a much better ally than Saudi Arabia, and I think the general population of Iran wants a relationship with the U.S.. We should be planting seeds of peace, the old guard with Iran cannot last forever, and the next generation should be something we can work with.

Without feeling especially gifted in politics, I do claim superiority to Col. Wilkerson who admits having voted TWICE for Barack Obama. I voted for Ralph Nader and for Jill Stein! BO's lack of integrity was made clear by his brief record in the US Senate. Even Ralph Nader was wrong in 2008. He said that BO lacks "political fortitude". Not so! BO lacks the will to do what is right for the masses of Americans. He lacks more than fortitude or courage. He lacks good character!

Goedelite Kurt - how true to your principles would remain if you were told on Day2 of your presidency that you do as you are told and live, or think you have any independent power and leave office in a body bag?

I would really like to hear the Colonel's view on the Asian pivot. What does it mean for countries in Asia? What can we expect down the line? Who's moving what, where?

The fact that their may still be men like Col Wilkinson left in the US military and the right wing political factions gives me some hope. I think the sober minds in the US Navy has had a very sure hand in averting the disaster that military action against Iran would be. After all relatively narrow waterways and very good anti-ship missiles would make for a lot of destroyed ships and dead sailors for not much at all. Obama's passive inaccuracy and displacement towards rhetoric rather than effective action is actually a good thing when it comes to foreign policy. Just wish he would stop the strategically counter productive and completely immoral Drone programme but that would of course mean admitting him and his accomplices were wrong and effectively murders and party to genocide. Of course we couldn't have the truth in politics now could we? I'm sure the next stooge in the White House will follow Obama's lead in ignoring war crimes and so the perpetrators will once again walk free.

Great interview, BUT...left out is a critical link between the self-serving desires of the 'oligarchs' and the politicians who serve them. That link is the translating of their interests into ideological value-driven goals expressed as 'values' to which officeholders are publicly committed and upon which they campaign. The PAC donations are all about these 'principles', and the money reinforces the enthusiasm for winning in their name; but the principles are actually just business interests translated into the faithspeak of the political sphere. So who does this translating? Has to be those stupid 'think tanks'. Who accredits them? Why do journalists cite them?

I like Wilkerson's description of how the oligarchy - mostly corporate elites - in effect run our country--
they do everything opportunistically. The question is if citizens want to do much about it, could they?

When I talk to people about this stuff they look at me sideways and call me a conspiracy theorist.
People in positions of respect and ability for an audience have the duty to call it as it is. Unfortunately sometimes it may mean the end of a career or credibility due to slander. Ghandi said he hated the most was a coward who was afraid to stand up for what was just and right because of Fear of beating or prison.
Could you imagine the impact if Jon Stewart took just one month and dedicated it to truly hard hitting stories that are harming us all.
Could you imagine if the Pope actually demanded the end of crony capitalism and the abuse and exploitation of poor people around the world, 2 billion followers.
Where are the Ghandi's? The MLK's? A voice for the people? Its been 50 to 60 years it seems without any movement. I wondr why?

Wasnt he under Colon Power when he made his bid to attack Iraq under false pretenses? I take everything he says with a grain of salt; I can't help but feel his sources are Establishment (I.e. from the status quo). I stand to be corrected.
