Yes, a rather fascinating perspective that I learned during my exploration of the Buddhist temples and books. Never too old to learn. 😉😀

A calm and clear way to share concepts that can be easily misunderstood. Now, as I write this, I’m only thinking of the letter I’m typing, not the word that came before nor the one that will come after.
Your images from China were gorgeous. You were quite patient to find the right timing. It was well worth it! I’m watching the episode again.

It's surprising and yet not surprising that there are many models of mind and mental states that point to the same solution to our tendency to think from within complex constructs rather than a simple shift which is often begun by taking a few breaths and coming back to our physical, present self.

Many thanks for this! For people inclined to perennialism, there is an intersting resonance between the Heart Sutra and a treatise in the 'Western Traditon' of esotericism - the 'Treatise on Nothing' by the Accademia degli Incogniti (circa 1630 AD).

I've been fortunate to have visited Nanjing twice, but one was for work, and I had no time for touring around. I have a cousin who lives in Nanjing, and I look forward to visiting him again, and will make a point of seeing this temple. Thank you for the recommendation.
