I feel like a lot of people are hating on island paradise and for what??? It was the most ambitious sims pack probably ever yeah it has performance issues but the world isn’t the pack, hotels could potentially add so much family gameplay, honeymoons, maybe the parents go on a night out and teens throw a party, family vacations, you can own your own resort and that has so much depth and the reviews are hilarious, this doesn’t even touch the underwater diving which while you really can’t utilize it in isla paradiso without fixes, however if you have the fixes the underwater diving feature is so fun especially with all the collectibles you can find. You can also find hidden islands and do whatever you want with those, it adds more beach activities, not to mention island paradise has some of the best CAS and build/buy in ts3. The only true downside to this pack is the world which is fixable, I feel like a lot of people hating this pack don’t even play it
I don't get the island paradise hate either. It was my favourite pack as a kid and I played that pack and world a ton. I didn't even know that isla paradiso was known to be a "broken" world. I didn't have the greatest computer to play on but it worked well enough?

Island Paradise deserves more respect. Like a modicum more. The resort feature is one of my favorites in the game. Love how it incentivizes build/buy mode and slowly accumulating funds and ratings is very satisfying.
Right now, I’m playing a supernatural save and the founder owns a Skyrim-esque resort. I’ve been having a lot of fun seeing how far I can push the feature past its initial intent
island paradise fr has enough content to warrant being a spin off game. i personally have never noticed any of it's issues. ("noticed" bc im p patient when it comes to lag in video games.) but i really like island paradise. the items and world are so pretty and there is so much to do. i should really play it again soon!
The daycare thing is an EA issue with story progression from EA. With all patches they messed up their own coding in story progression so the game wont create pregnancies. Still children might appear as new families or adopted (IIRC). You need simler90’s core mod to fix it. She details all issues she found with the story progression on the download page.
i recently installed this mod to fix the shark issues in isla paradiso, i know this mod covers other issues, but does it really fix story progression and allow inactive families to produce their offspring? because i still want to remove nraas story progression and even if they only have their own clone kids ie with their premade genetics, not pudding face, like they used to in 2009 (Marticore will confirm)
@@Tevi_L7151you can remove nraas story progression but downloaded nraas woohooer and turn on autonomous risky woohoo/try for a baby and then pregnancies will happen automatically. Or at least I've noticed that when I invite inactive families to parties all the couples wanna do is risky woohoo and that makes babies happen on their own

I agree with you 💯% about Late Night. I hate the routing issues and celebrity system but love apartments and bars.
High end loft stuff is my favorite, it gave me severe anxiety when you put it in D tiet lol
Here is my ranking in release date order (although, it is not the order I purchased them).
Sims 3 Base Game: S-Tier ❤The open world and and story progression was intuitive enough to win its place.
World Adventures EP: A Tier. The only reason this is not S-Tier for me, is that I prefer Sims 2 Bon Voyage (for the better perks at the end) and Sims 1 Vacation (for the additional activities, most of which were added in the Seasons EP). New life state: Mummies, which are unique and interesting. Favorite aspect: Tomb raiding. And the additional Lore found throughout playthroughs is also very interesting.
High End Loft Stuff SP: B Tier. I like the modern aesthetics, along with the return of Sims 1/2 classics for the 10th Anniversary (heart-shaped bed, electric guitar & aquarium). This works well with Lunar Lakes/Into the Future, or just any world where moderns styles are more fitting. The downside are the hideous clothing and hair styles (imo).
Ambitions EP: A Tier. While the concept of going to work with Sims in the active careers, they scrapped most of the perks of Sims 2 OFB (I e. running proper restaurants, proper family owned businesses, etc.). Sure, one could come close adding in future dlc and store content, but even then, it still falls short. The active careers are all fun to play, and the new life state, Simbots are a quirky addition.
Fast Lane SP: C Tier. This pack is just meh for me. The few cars added in are kind of forgettable, and the clothing was as well.
Late Night EP: B Tier. While I think the world has the best city aesthetics for a modern EA world, and the vampires are definitely more fleshed out (although, they are even more fleshed out in the Supernatural EP), than Sims 2 NightLife, the inability to have multiple households living in the apartments just was a giant leap backwards from Sims 2 Apartment Life. The apartment buildings are mostly just set dressing shells with only one apartment and lots of wasted space that could have allowed for multiple tenants. Proper apartment buildings can be built in the Sims 2. I do not really care for the celebrity system, but the bars/clubs are interesting, as well as the ability to form bands.
Outdoor Living SP: C Tier. While some pieces are nice to have, most of the items are just recolors of what I already owned from the Store (although, to be fair, I did purchase this long after its release).
Generations EP: S Tier ❤ While this EP did not come with an additional world, it truly heightened the stakes for each individual sim, as well as the family dynamic. With Sims 2, our pixelated characters were finally able to age and die, plus have days of from work/school. With Generations, all of that was expanded upon (good/bad/neutral/mixed), the monumental moments from cradle to grave (adding back more consequences for life's decisions). Oh, and the added touch of the imaginary friend, is truly so much fun ❣
Town Life SP: B Tier. I know that this was just mostly rabbit hole community lots, but I really did like the laundry mat, and use it often. Besides, I did pick this up in a humble bundle, along with Late Night (I think for 1$), so EA gets points for that, Haha. 😂
Pets EP: S Tier ❤ Where to begin? The ability to now control and play as your favorite pet is just the best knees❣ Of course, not all pets work well enough to add in all worlds (here's looking at you Isla Paradiso), but with mods limiting the spawning rates and maintenance, I just love love Pets. The new additions of deer, raccoons, wild horses, unicorns, etc. all just warm my heart. The world is breathtaking (especially in fall). I do miss the ability for pets to have careers, like Sims 2 Pets, but overall, they truly went all into making this pack so worth it to pet lovers everywhere. Just a tip for those who do not have access to a high end computer, if you want pets in your game, use mods (I recommend NRaas) to cut back or eliminate spawn rates, as well as maintain them.
Master Suite SP: C Tier. Prior to owning the entire Sims 3 Store, I would have placed this up higher, but for me now, it is just meh.
Showtime EP: WTF EA Tier 🤮 First of all, I do not own, nor care to own Showtime (unless given for free, and only for the genies). With that said, tell me why this was not included in Late Night or even patched into Late Night? Especially the singer career, which would have been nice to have when bands were introduced. Bands and singers cannot perform together, even with both packs installed. Magicians and acrobats could have been introduced in any pack, or sold as Store Content. Genies would have fit nicely in World Adventures, Supernatural, even Ambitions or Seasons. Nearly every EP they would fit into. Acrobats could have been an additional concept to New EP, as gymnasts in an Olympics EP (I would have bought that). Oh, and the introduction of SimPort, reminds me of how much EA is itching to turn Sims to a multiplayer F2P, filled with microtransactions (almost was the fate of Sims 4, but after Sim City crashing and burning, it was saved), which is likely where Sims 5 is headed.
Katy Perry's Sweet Treats SP: WTF EA Tier 🤮 Now Sims 2 did offer limited time Store brand deals (yes, Sims 2 did have a Store), and Sims 3 Store had brands (i.e. Dr. Pepper) giving away free items for limited times, but nothing as greed driven as an entire SP, priced higher than an EP. And some people now will buy the pack for hundreds of dollars (because it is no longer available to purchase from EA). I am among the many to refuse to buy it. Anything and everything in the pack can be found on the exchange for free. I think most of it is just gaudy. But if you like it for its niche wacky items, and don't own it yet, just know that it might be quite costly, so search the exchange first, or sail the high seas.
Diesel SP: D Tier 😢 This brand does not impress me. I can see the appeal for perhaps the Jean's, but with the pattern tool and color wheel, you can create knock offs. As for the furniture, I have similar sets from the Store, that I find better (imo).
Supernatural EP: S Tier ❤ I remember when this was announced, my sister was working at Walmart, and she bought me the Limited Premium Edition (as a late birthday present). I was tickled pink to have that for the pea shooter alone❣This is my absolute favorite of the Sims 3 EPs❣While I prefer the magic system in Sims 1, and the zombies in Sims 2, Supernatural fleshed out the vampires and werewolves, while introducing playable fairies. I love that we are now able to create the occults in CAS, and the ability to make the potions once again, with alchemy again a field for any sim to partake in, not just limited to witches/warlocks from Sims 2 Apartment Life. The world is my favorite of all the EPs, with so many unique aspects (i.e. tardis). The build materials and gothic clothing fit my style. Again witches can perform duels. I love the new community lots: the Arboretum and the Fortune Teller's Wagon. I do miss the ability to have hybrid occults like in Sims 2, but overall this pack just wins me over.
Seasons EP: S Tier ❤ Back to back awesomeness❣ While I do think Seasons should be a base game feature, this pack added so much more to compensate. While we had to wait for the 15th installment fir aliens (which were introduced in Sims 2's base game), they are more fleshed out, with lots of hidden abilities and powers. Plus there is a useable alien ship in this EP. The best part (besides having the weather changing), are the festivals. Each season has its own festival and you can add aspects to each of them with aspects from other dlc (including store content). There are a plethora of Festival Lots that can be downloaded from the exchange too. I love that some of the activities at the festivals have returned from the Sims 1 (Vacation) and Sims 2 (various EPs). All in all, Sims 3 offers more than 2 and 4❣
70's, 80's, 90's SP: B Tier. Not much to say, but since I was born in 1988, the 90's have nostalgic value❣
University Life: B Tier. I do like certain aspects of this pack, but I prefer Sims 2 University overall. Going to class with Sims is not all that exciting. The plantsims are not as iconic as in Sims 2 either, but are a welcomed back feature. I do not like that it is separated from the home world (even more so than Sims 2 University). You cannot have outside visitors or go home on weekends. So, when I play with University, I install mods that allow my Sims to attend Uni from home most of the time. The world is pretty though.
Island Paradise EP: A Tier. The only aspect separating this pack from S, is the hoops one has to go through to make Isla Paradiso playable. The world is breathtaking. Scuba diving is amazing. Love the resorts, love the mermaids. Most of all, I love the ability to build livable and moveable houseboats❣
Movie SP: D Tier 😢 After hearing what you had to say about the pack, I bumped it up from WTF EA, because it is not as bad as Showtime and Sweet Treats. While I do like the added content. I thought thus could be used with acting career (Late Night) as well as the video camera (Generations) to create sets and make ingame short films. Perhaps, it does work for machinimas, so I am happy for them. However, the costumes look like amateur versions of CC content. 🤷♀️
Into the Future S Tier ❤ At least EA finished up Sims 3 with a banger❣While most people were more interested to move onto Sims 4, only to be disappointed with what was missing at launch, I was going through my save files in Sims 3, and meeting my descendants. I truly have a lot of fun with this pack, and use a lot of the tech and build/buy in Lunar Lakes (and vice versa). I am a scifi geek. Whodda thunk that a future world would contain so much Lore? My brother loves the cleaning stations, wishes he could have them irl. I love the dream pods and replicators. The only aspect that bothers me, is that the portal spawns right after you move your sim in. I wish it would at least wait a day. It is just an annoyance, not game breaking though. Overall, it is a nice finishing touch to the EP and SP content (but the Sims 3 Store did pump out some more extraordinary content thereafter)❣
Perusing through all the SPs and EPs of Sims 3 reminds me of why Sims 3 is my 2nd favorite of the franchise (Sims 2 being my favorite)❣It also goes to show just how massive Sims 3 is compared to its Successor Sims 4 (which has far more dlc, with less less gameplay and overall content, devoid of Lore)! 😢
Seasons, Generations, pets & university, supernatural and based game is in my s tier and My d tier is island paradise, jungle adventure, into the future. I don't have the other packs u listed.
CJ. I completely agree with Island Paradise 🏝 its a lovely expansion for resorts and hair and clothing but the world itself is so laggy and considering world isn't large it's annoying and I have my game crash from using the world.
Lags stop if you use the cheat code to open all islands and delete all housebots (except your own). But imagine, you literally have to get rid of half of the content for which you bought this EP

Generations but I love almost all of them, except Island Paradise and Into The Future.
I would like to have 70s, 80s and 90s and Diesel, but I will wait for the sale... and yes Movie Stuff
