- Hello Guys,
Here I am back with another tutorial, I'll show you quick and easy ways to make Turing Pattern.
This is not my original idea or technique.
First, I look at this pattern on Pinterest and wondering how can I make it. I search on google, and I find this pattern called Reaction-Diffusion pattern or Turing Pattern
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turing_...
And finally, I find two tutorials related.
First from Andrew Werth
www.researchgate.net/publicat...
• Turing Patterns in Pho...
and from Skybase/Yuya Takeda
vimeo.com/61154654
• Reaction Diffusion in ...
Go Check the Links if you want more explanation and the detail about the reaction-diffusion pattern.
or you can check this forum
www.filterforge.com/forum/rea...
So that's it, thanks for watching.

How to change the pattern color and turn it to seamless pattern
ua-cam.com/video/hOMCDdwgRYk/v-deo.html
Can you show us a tutorial for the thumbnail of this particular video. Like the picture looks in 3D space with the shadow and background
It's mind-boggling how anyone even discovered these filters would create the effect.
that's the magic of quarantine.
@@zupremo9141 its an old trick which he credits in the description :)
What will really blow your mind: This was originally calculated by one person in their head before they invented computers. (And by "before they invented computers" I mean he THEN invented computers.) #AlanTuring (was gay - happy pride month.)
short range activation and long range inhibition, ya know
there are many ways to get it (all involving repetition). I discovered similar effects years ago just dorking around. This is of course a very elegant method!
Every time I watch one of your videos I not only learn new stuff, I feel I'm in a gentler place watching the process. Thank you again!
Thank you so much. This helped a lot , not only with learning something new but also using it in one of my projects. Thanks again
once someone taught me this but i forgot how to make it and i've been searching for this tutorial for so long.
thank you.
Looks like Keith Haring's eye floaters
underrated comment hahah
Thank you so much for sharing, I would have never found out how to do this on my own!
That's such a rad trick. Thanks for sharing, gonna make a bunch of my own patterns now.

That genre is called "lofi hip hop"
@@killll thanks but i know what it is (I'm an artist / tutor working in a similar area).
Wow! Thank you sooo much for this! I find it amazing and wondered how to make this, I thought one would make it manually. I didn't even know it had a name!

wow just found your channel... fantastic :) subscribed thanks
Also known as vermiculation; a type of decorative patterning carved into stone building blocks. The root word 'vermis' is Latin for worm. Nice to know how to generate it in PS.
wonderful pattern
Wow! Superb video.

Wonderful
Like. Thank you very much
Wow amazing. Who watch all video of this channel immediately after uploading??

😅 I am afraid someone have phobia of this kind of patterns
@@nobudesign I actually thought about the same thing haha, but luckily for me atleast, it has the opposite effect :)
can you make one with AI for native vector format?
@@fauzip4189 yes, agree. Would to see that! Because i have this wild idea in my head if its done in vector
So it makes you physically uncomfortable?
Super!!!
Frikityfrak this is brilliant!!
This is....... genius :o
Now nobu design photoshop tutorials ,wow wow wow
Thanks :)
Good!
Great tutorial! Any way to get the same result but have the shapes more spread apart?
Mind blown
Nice
You’re awesome
I made/discovered these patterns at art college in 1980 by photocopying a photocopy, then repeated it many times over. After leaving I had an incredible, long creative career but not by taking photocopies. Now I'm retired I'm learning Adobe software.
Crazy Crazy Trick.
meh, I was wondering for so long how this is made. Thanks
Very cool tutorial. Can we use these in our designs without copy right issue
Nice tutorial. For beginners and maybe higher, recommend slowing down the video to .5 speed and muting music. What you can learn from this tutorial: Actions, Filters, and more.
great video! how do you change the color of the pattern?
Wizardry man...wow!
Massive noob with photoshop but really wanna give this a go. How would I go about adding colour and then text into the pattern like at the end of the video?? (4:55) wicked video!!
Great! Is it possible to make this tileable ?
Do you know the relationship between the filter sequence and the reaction diffusion differential equations?
I didn't really understand the relationship. But you can check the Andrew Werth Papers and persentation, he explain more about it.

WOW!! How did you realize turing pattern can be created by these effects ? Thank you so much for sharing the ideas
I am just see turing pattern in pinterest and wondering how can I make it. The photoshop technique to create the turing pattern I learn from Skybase and Andrew Werth tutorial.
Here the video

@@nobudesign The tutorial was good as well. It's like making a work with the youtuber :D btw, I practiced for this pattern. Can i tag you?
I love Alan Turing's story, I love Graphic Design and now I love Turing patterns. Your way of teaching is excellent. Thank you. Why the name is "Turing" Pattern?
Alan Turing introduced the concept of this patterns in his paper (1952)
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turing_pattern
Could you make this seamlessly tile?
how to make this background with shadow
is there a similar way to do this in inkscape?
does inkscape have high pass, noise and blur filters?
That's very cool design, but how to make one as seen in the thumbnail, or at 4:53?
I am new to Photoshop and Illustrator
literally just use the pattern as a mask buddy
как же классно) спасибо! но работает только в новой версии фш it only works in the new version of ps
super cool! but how do you apply it to letters and change the colours like at the end? i'm a real novice ^^'
the music is awsome
but how you do that ? explaintion
Great video! I was just wondering how you got the text to be a different colour than everything else. I can't seem to figure it out.
Rasterize the pattern layer, Remove the black or white part from the pattern (use blend if), convert the layer to smart object, make your text and clipping mask to the pattern
You don''t use photoshop.
been trying to find a way to make this possible in krita, hoping that I can figure out a way to do this for anyone that uses this program instead of PS.
beast
Like kufi style,
Ay im a new subscriber! C:
🖐️
How to change the color of those???
can anybody help me???
Great! But how to make it seamless now?..
Excellent and easy to follow tutorial.
And btw why this is called Turing pattern?
the concept was introduced by Alan Turing
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turing_pattern
@@nobudesign thanks!
huh. looks like reticulation on film. when the bits of silver clump together when you're sloppy with temperatures on old films.
I saw patterns like this in the movie Vivarium and was wondering how to achieve this
I need to watch Vivarium 😁
How did you do the text part ?
how to change colour of the pattren ?
