I've lived a blessed life and have had a number of "dream jobs" but yours has to be the coolest; getting to fly all those different aircraft. Total jelly. I can't believe that I've waited so long to get my PPL but this channel among others is helping motivate me to go all the way to an ATP cert. Thanks for the videos.
Hi rich!!! My name charles and I am speaking from Brazil. I am a phenom 300 pilot and I saw your channel here. It good videos that you share with us. I decided to follow the usa pilots channel, to improve my english. Thanks! Good bless you and strong tail wings!
Tanks for let me tag along. Very impressive, informative and high quality videos you’re uploading. Love the versatile 182. Best regards from across the Atlantic.
One of my favorite as well. I remember the first time I flew a 182 after training in a 172 - left a real impression me. Glass is nice but glad I learned old school!
They should put in the IO550, everybody that test drives one of those with the big motor say that's the perfect amount of power for the plane, Cessna should offer that as an option right from the dealer. What happened with the diesel option I kind of wouldn't mind having that I think it's a Mercedes-Benz built and it's got like 296 horsepower that would be wonderful in that plane too
Honestly- I can't remember the prices in 2013 when they stopped making them. I think a low-time, 2013 is probably at least as much today as it was new.
T182T is similar in that it is a single engine piston driven airplane. Cessna doesn’t make turbos any more so if you compare price for a new 182T to an SR22 I think the Cirrus is about $300K -$350K more and has better performance- maybe 200 mph vs 165 mph. Similar avionics - Cirrus has a more modern interior and a full airplane parachute for emergencies. That’s a broad overview - both great airplanes, but Cirrus is the market leader in this class.
I think you could make a 182 work - some depends on your build too - longer torso can be more difficult to make work. The later model - 182S/182T/T182T - have pretty good travel in vertical seat adjustment and can recline as well.
Good video Rich, glad to see you more frequently active on UA-cam.
Thanks Rob - let’s do a video on the Conquest II sometime.
Thanks for watching!
@@FlyingwithRich It’s a deal!

I own a 2008 Turbo 182T, fun to watch you fly it. We love ours.
Great airplane. How long have you had it?
@@FlyingwithRich Two years, people tell me to get a Cirrus SR22 but I like the Turbo 182T
Amazing clarity with the BOSE headset.

Thanks for watching! Can’t beat a 182!
Cessna is bringing back the T182T for 2023! YAY!!!
Hey Rich it's great to see you flying around, your the best....
Thanks!
Thanks for the video. I loved flying the T182T
Thanks for watching - it’s such a great airplane!
My old plane! Miss it
Great airplane!
Awesome vid! love how you were talking about the all the benefits and positives on short final lol
Thx for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
We'll look you up Rich if we're ever in the market. Nice video.
Thank you! Looking forward!
Having 150+ hours in a 182 (Back in the day Mid-70's) it's one of my favorite all around aircraft. Wish we had Garmin glass panel back then..
One of my favorite as well. I remember the first time I flew a 182 after training in a 172 - left a real impression me. Glass is nice but glad I learned old school!
Great one.
Great review, I fly a N/A 182T.
Thanks for watching!
Great aircraft Rich that I would love to be flying and that’s what I enjoy doing every day if my opportunity was available to come out
turbo skylane is back
Great job Rich.
Thank you!
Why did Cessna stop making the turbo 182? Such a good looking plane.
They are making them again now. Stopped for around 10 years - who knows why?
Great video. Curious, what are the make of those sunglasses? Need to replace mine :)
Revo but don’t remember the model - like most of my sunglasses they are no longer with me!
If you are familiar with backcountry182 he really flies into some tough back country air strips.
I’ve done some back country flying and a stock 182 does very well. Thanks for watching!
I fly a 182P with Pponk conversion, so 270HP. Older but quite a fun aircraft to fly.
That’s a great engine upgrade. Flown behind several. Thanks for watching!
You seem like a really nice guy. Wish I was in the market for a plane....
Thanks!
Can you advise the TIT Temp when you are 28” 2400 RPM at 15 gph ?

I agree on the 550!
The market retail price on the T182 models are way more than it was in the last production from the factory

Bee u tee full cap! ♥️
👍👍👍👍👍
Pardon the sacrilege to the Cessna Fans but can you tell non-pilots like myself how these planes compare to the Cirrus planes?

Is the 182 good for a tall pilot?
How tall?
@@FlyingwithRich 6 ft. 6 in,

@@FlyingwithRich thanks a lot for the reply
So how much are you selling it for?
Listing link is now in the description. Thank you!
Are you neighbors to the Quinn Hanger? Looks like yours is next door.
We are - maintenance hangar is right next door to that hangar. Thanks for watching!
@@FlyingwithRich nice. I worked for Quinn CAT many years and flew with customers out of there.
It is terrible they stopped production of the turbo.
I’m sure there is a good reason but I can’t figure it out. Thanks for watching!
I thought they didn’t want it competing with the Corvallis. But then they dropped that too, so IDK.
@@dryreed I don't see where those two planes compete. 50+knots faster than the 182T, and FIKI certified, they are not in the same class
Painful
What. About. The. Cessna. 172????
