Thank you for this amazing help. Without you I wouldn’t be having my Nintendo switch connected to my computer! It took me a few try’s and I was about to give up but the , I figured out what I was supposed to do!
Genki shadowcast is actually the better method so you don't have to swap between the monitor settings and also it gives you full access to take pictures and longer video recordings because the Switch by default only does 30 second video recordings and not all games support it.
I need help. (or I'm stupid) What I want is for my second computer monitor to act as what it is, a PC monitor not a TV-mode screen that only serves to display image/video. I don't want to use my monitor just as a TV display I want to use it also as a monitor display while it could be used as a monitor for the switch. Basically I want to hear the game from my headset (PC) the switch on wired to my 2nd monitor. While also transferring either image/video and audio. I'm going to assume that for this you need 2 HDMI connections 1 from my computer's GPU to the monitor. And another from the switch to the same monitor already mentioned. But my monitor only has 1 HDMI input. I guess if I disconnect it from my GPU (it will no longer be connected to the PC obviously) so if I connect the switch to the 2nd monitor it will only have image [while it is connected to a power source (the screen)], (no audio because the screen does not emit audio only image and/or video) because the screen does not have speakers. I think that really will not work very well. What I am looking for is to be able to sit at my computer either working or doing whatever on my main monitor. and on the second one next to it to be able to play on the switch but having audio inside my PC headset. I feel that it does not sound complicated but I do not know why I feel that it is. Would all this really end simply by having 1 screen with 2 HDMI inputs?
Okay so what if there is no way for me to change my monitor to an HDMI source?? My computer has a HDMI port but no button or way for me to change the source to HDMI?
But what if the sound is just too high when it's connected? Everything works out fine except the fact that I can't change the sound. It is really loud 🥴
If you have the connection on your monitor to put an HDMI cable then you just have to play around with the buttons like I did. Mine didn’t have an HDMI button but I had to play around with the buttons to get it to HDMI
Don't work for me. I have a predator x34gs Ultrawide monitor with 2 display ports and 2 hdmi ports. None of the hdmi ports will show a signal from switch. I even tried hdmi 1.3 and 1.4 cables.
