How do you get the patient's ideal body weight, not his actual boxy weight?

Formula for IBW is for Males: [106 + 6(height in inches - 60)] / 2.2
and for females: [105 + 5(height in inches - 60)] / 2.2
if you're not entirely sure how tall the person is just estimate their height compared to yours or how many inches above 5ft (60 inches) they are. hope that helps

PB 980 vent sucks!!! Standby that takes three covid19 breaths in the age of pandemic before you hit the conform button. Have to change a filter on peep of 15 on any ARDS pt that is taking meds via HHN on circuit. The defective battery on these vent must have been purchased at the local 99 cent store. Occlusion and disconnect error reading every other day!! Have to change the vent out for maintains every week or two. Garbage vents..
