In case you didn’t stay long in this video: “Hector is going to be running 3 Honda Civics with spoon engines. And on top of that he just came into Harry's and he ordered 3 T66 turbos, with NOS, and a Motec system exhaust.”
Atleast the 10th gen had adaptive dampeners, heated seats and dual zone climate lol.
Plus foglights!
Stock for stock 10th gen seems faster

I love the fact that we (23 teggy owner) build these slow cars and race them like we have Porsche’s 😂😂. Will we stop??? NEVER 😅
Slow frfr I’m FBO and tune sad tbh decent daily I guess
Definitely tuning, and now I’m undecided on exhausts! That sounds real goodd
This was a good video! Thanks Tony
Thanks for sharing 👍🏻 Very impressed with the 11thgen after seeing this
I would love to see a tuned 11 gen civic versus a 2020 civic SI like mine with the the Shorter gearing. Awesome video brother!
Same, would probably smoke it
I was entertained. Thanks
i own a 10th gen coupe running the tsp stage 1 plus tune. i would love to have a run
The 11th generation turbo is bigger, and the cylinder head flows more overall. I see a greater power gains on lower boost than the 10th gen. which is an indication of better flow on the cylinder head intake ports and exhaust flow.
I did one that was completely stock on 93 octane and I made 235 wheel hp. The clutch started to slip at 245 torque. The hondata base map made 189 at the wheels. That’s 45 wheel hp gain on a bone stock 11th Gen. SI. 225-228 wheel hp is easy to do but to get that extra last 6-8 hp was a fair amount of extra work
thats interesting considering the same tunes on both cars whether Phearable or TSP the 11th Gen makes less HP vs the 10th gen
Is that across the board with the turboed engine?
very impressive numbers, I must say
Not surprised, the 11th gen L15C has a bigger turbine wheel and I think the housing as well while also having exhaust side vtec which helps flow more exhaust gas through the turbine housing
Stock for stock 10th gen wins
@@g0d182 11th gen wins at top speed theres a video stock 10th vs 11th gen.
10th gen Fk8 top speed: 289
11th gen Fl5 top speed: 279
Same power band 10th gen fk8 has more top.
ua-cam.com/video/RN5bM7Oam40/v-deo.html
@@g0d182 no one is talking about the type r here. We are comparing both 10th and 11th si, the 11th si has a larger turbine wheel and housing which makes it better up top. This is the same case how the 10th type r has better top than the 11th type r because it has a slightly better flowing turbo, but that isn’t the subject.
Damn wasn’t expecting tht . The look of the car definitely has been growing on me but now it lookin like the 11th gen can be a decent match up

remember the 11th gen civic has VTEC now. the 10th gen still has the earth dreams without VTEC
Love my 11th Gen 2022 Si Stock...waited a year to find my Blazing Orange Pearl at a "reasonable price"
I have yet to see an orange one. Very rare here in my area
Yep, I waited a year and still drove 170 miles away out of the LA area. Although I did pay $1995 over MSRP I could justify it being that "Accessories" was $2340, not $5K to $8K based on the local market the price was Fair.
@@edwardinvegas im glad u got a good deal. I wasnt so lucky. I got the color i wanted tho and ive gotten alot attention from it
Pretty sure thats literally just the “v-tec kicking in bro” with the top end pulling away like that. Wow!
You should race the 11 gen man
In order to be able to sleep tonight I am insisting that something was wrong with Hector’s FC1 🤣
Maybe lol
It’s almost at 100k miles haha 🥸
I agree, I mean going up to 90’s on two pulls is a bit too high. I mean 11th gen def does have top end. But shouldn’t gap it like that on a 30 roll. At least on paper it shouldn’t.
You guys never seen Doug from hondata dyno the stock 11th gen and show how it make way more hp and tq over the 10th gen?!??
@@treverschmoyer8560 Most everybody else is reporting 11th gen to be somewhat similar to 10th. A little more hp and a bit less torque to the wheels. So I def wouldn’t say “way more” power
@UNDISPUTEDFANBOY Since we are talking about cars that only make around 200hp to begin with me personally would like to think 11th gen making 222.31hp and 233.89lbft stock vs the 10th gen with 201.33hp and 210.40lbft is a “decent amount” of an increase not a lot one could say 5-10hp/torque🤨
Someone explain the knock count. I’m often getting up in the .70 .80 range. I cruise in 6th gear and always am able to get it back to .49 but curious
I wish you can make a tutorial vid on setting up the ktuner with the tune
I mean. I did a video on me installing my ktuner with the phearable 1.5 tune over a year ago lol
It’s on my channel. Even so there’s plenty of other videos that do a better step by step install than I did. Considering it was my first time doing it.
Damn! You can tell that even honda reduces the hp on 11th gen Si's, theyre doing something right especially with the top end 🔥🔥 great video man!
They really didnt its been proven they make alil more
@@josebonillas1471 yeah it could make a lot more if not for the clutch though
11th gen L15 swap would be nice in the 10th gen...just to have the exhaust side vtec and better turbo but still have seat heaters, dual zone climate and dampers in the suspension
y’all gotta think about the power to weight ratio. hector is clearly larger than Ruben and that’s extra weight
Hector just needs to tune his nos timer and he’ll run 9s
Good run. Xgen driver maki sandwiches between shifts 😭
Going boosted on my 9th gen this Spring and I can't wait to get my revenge on those 10th gens lol
Forget the Si’s you’ll be faster than Type R’s in a boosted k24 lol
@@TdaKid Gotta start small first 😂
Turbo or SC? Good luck either way!
@@andreim656 Turbo. MakSpeed kit with a Garrett GTX3576R turbo. Bunch of other parts to get it done right.
None of them was measured on dyno ? How much is the max hp and max torque ?
Weight is a real factor. We would need the drivers to be the same or similar weight.
Good video! I raced a 10th gen a few months ago, and yeah 11th gen top end is way better.
Why didnt you race me while you were on island? 😁
@@J.C.BUILT_ig 😅😅😅🤣
The 2020 civic si got an improved final drive ratio. Wonder if that makes it more even.
I'm wondering the same as a man that's owned both a 2017 civic SI and now a 2020 I can tell you that the 2020 feels much faster. . I actually transferred all my parts for my previous civic when it got totaled and the 20 is much quicker
I’m shocked it was that much of a difference
What front lip is that on the white 10th gen Si?
Do you think weight could’ve been a factor?
I didn’t knew that 11gen has vtec on the exhaust cam so that’s obviously the reason for been faster
lmao it does absolutely nothing. It's for fuel efficiency not power
Did both disable traction control?
What wheels are on your white coupe?
It doesn’t surprise me tbh
These new 11th gen Si are going to be fast imagine having the parts on your 10th gen in his 11th gen would be curious to see the difference
Yeah but at least the engine will last in the10thgen. I've seen already four or five of the integras and new Civic si throwing rods through the block not a good start for a brand new car
@@shainrichter3338 yeah that's true I've seen some too that already had problems with it that's why I'm sticking with my 09 civic Si the last true VTEC civic
@@Itsjustanelantra I hear you there I just really liked how the 10th gen SI looked I've had a 17 and now I have a 20/20 in both of them had minimal problems except for a crappy stock clutch but when you're making over 300 torque that's kind of understandable
@@shainrichter3338 are they throwing rods with like bolt ons and tune or like really hard driving cuz I wanna get one but I’m not gonna get a civic if it’s not reliable
@@EggSk8 the couple that I saw just had tunes on them
Let’s see your si run with the 11thgen on map 3
I’ll hit him up and see what’s up lol
I’m curious now too
His clutch will slip. Wouldnt be fair
To be fair they aren’t the same tune. Just because it’s a stage 1 tune doesn’t mean they didn’t take it a little further with the tune. They tuned it made a number and felt good with it and now sell that tune. Honestly wish I lived near you lol I don’t even have a downpipe and my si pulls away from stock 10th gen type r’s
If you’re on e30 of course you’ll pull away from stock Type R’s lol
91 or 93 I’ll find it hard to believe
It wouldn’t be fair anyway since the 11th Gen is running a better twin scroll turbo and running a better flowing head, it will make better power gains mod for mod. Those 2 upgrades alone make a massive difference…
Nice to see a side by side comparison.. Funny, I liked the 10th gen sedans better than fk8 and now 11th gen is opposite for me. Imo the 10th gen sedans still look much more aggressive and sharp than 11th gen
But all those fake vents. The rear just looks like they didn't know what to do so they slapped some eBay fake vents on it.
@@DB-mq4so True, but thats why I added real vents front and rear lol. $ and effort spent but worth it if keeping the car long term.
But the 11th gen may say 200 hp but the truth is that the 11th gen has 222 hp if you put it on a dyno . I have a 10th gen and a friend has the 11 gen and his came with some upgrades out of the box that gave him a big advantage .
According to both Car and Driver and Motor Trend, the 2019 SI Coupe in stock condition was considerably faster than the stock 11th generation SI. .5 second faster 0 to 60. .3 second faster in quarter mile.
0 to 60 can depend on a lot of factors…standard wheels, driver, weather. Ive raced a few 9th gen and 10th gen sis and the 11th gen is definitely faster. Ive also raced a Q50 and a Charger RT and beat both. So…idk
@@powerstroketurbo95ill believe an rt, but a q50 bro? what engine? 3.0t or 3.7?
@@waytooaesthetic I have the vid to prove it…matter of fact homie started a car or so ahead of me and he still got walked. And i think it was a 3.0t
I just looked it up and 10th gen normal/sport mode is 19/21. The 11th is 18/20. What mode were they in?
Eco
but is the 10th gen on tsp stage one plus? because the new tsp tune has around 245 hp, while the tsp 11th gen has that notmally
They were both on map 2 regardless and on the same psi so that wouldn’t matter
It's the downpipe. And the intercooler wouldn't have added anything under those conditions.
Does Ruben have a UA-cam channel??
Should do an accord sport 2.0t 6sp Vs si
Haven’t found one that’s tuned here in Oxnard lol
I try to find “races” that are somewhat “equal” or else it’s just not a fair comparison
This one tho I was hella surprised haha
@@TdaKid nah i meant like a stock accord Vs you guys with exhaust and dp
@@JoshOn2Wheelss ahhh
Well I still haven’t found one regardless lol
I know hector is always down
@@TdaKid i wish i was over there haha I’d be down for some fun runs
it's not a true twin scroll...ask PRL....also it doesn't make alot of sense considering Map 2 on the 11th Gen is like 19 PSI and Map 2 on the 10th Gen is 22 PSI
I got the complete opposite results. I have a FBO 10th gen and my coworker has a FBO 11th gen. We are both tuned pushing 26lbs boost. and
My 10th get got him in every race. Tuned on 93.
2020+ SIs have a higher final drive ratio
Doug from Hondata shows a stock 11th gen makes more hp and torque the the 10th on the dyno😅
Yes but this was just for entertainment purposes because what TSP got WHP on them aren’t that much of a difference with their “stage 1” tune
If you're knock count is 0.90 then you're using bad gas and getting secondary ignition.
What the camera man on about the 11th gen are full vtec it's both cams unlike the 10th gen
Vtec is only on the exhaust cam
Not on both.

I wonder how the 11th gen stock turbo would feel on a 10th gen if that’s even possible idk if that’s just me wondering haha
It’s a twin scroll
So it would most likely have to be retrofitted
At that point you’re better off getting a “drop in” turbo unless it’s significantly cheaper for the parts and labor
@@TdaKid that’s fair, this video just had me thinking about it out of curiosity

Apples and oranges
11th gen motor isn’t as strong as 10th gen motor and it’s proven
What are your sources?
@@TdaKid VCD racing rebuilt an integra, owner did do some spirited driving but it blew on a normal drive home. Ososik motor blew on the track, after having a prototype drop in, turbo wasn’t on during the track day when it blew…10th gen motors never blew that quick even after a drop in with tune
@@fc1edoardo203 you can blow a 10th gen just as easy. These motors aren’t that much different. And ososik had full e85 with an aggressive tune on. 10th would’ve blown a rod as well. Plus he’s “R&D” so he’s suppose to push the car to its limit to see what’s it’s capable of. It’s still pretty early to say that it’s weaker when not a lot of parts or a proper turbo upgrade has been out for these cars.
