    Got my Flash three days ago . Flew it this morning. Had no issues with the hand launch. Once I got it trimmed out I found that I couldn't keep it at full throttle for long, it's so fast ! It is a real blast to fly and stays locked on. I love it ! I mix elevator with throttle so when I give it power on launch I get a few degrees of up elevator. I have this mix on a switch so once the plane is up and away I hit the switch and turn the mix off.

    That's why you launch with the left hand and keep your right on the ail/ele. Sweet plane though. First I've seen it was in the AMA mag today!

    Hi, love your review and I bought one unit after your review.
    Today, I had maiden this plane without a scratch or crash ..lol.
    But I do found an issue, whereby the throttle seems having a delayed effect when I push it all the way, I is like an having a 1 second+ delayed with some kind of Expo effect.. but it does can go all the way to the max speed, so it doesn't looks like s ESC calibration issue.
    I am just guessing, could it be the gyro system preventing a strong push to the Throttle?
    Thanks in advanced.

    @f900ex5 5 років тому +4

    As Ryan mentions the prop very comes to your hand or arm when throwing it, with full power this Flash IMO is very risky, if you look at the slowmo in the video it comes very close to his arm, maybe Ryan has a different opinion, I own one I won't fly it anymore for this reason, yes its fun and fast but not worth it, that prop will slice you arm or chop you hand with little effort, at full power I can only imagine what damage it would do. As Ryan mentions at full power it will fly out of your hand, last time I tried holding the wing and letting go but because of the torque its nearly impossible to get flying.
    FMS made a fun pusher prop but a bad design on launching it

    Question about the stabilizer, is it leveling out 6 axis? Also that torque-roll from the start, isnt the gyro kicking in then? Or was that without stabilizer switched on.
    I am flying for 4 months, usually the smaller micro planes, like the P51 mini and F22 from eachine, I got the turbo timber and some other volantex planes (always with gyro's). My next plane needs to be fast but also easy to fly for a dummy;-). As stable as it can get, is the Flash the plane to buy then?

    Can you say lawsuits with this new Flash? A pusher prop that you have to throw? Yikes. In the meantime, in their infinite wisdom, FMS does away with/discontinues the 70mm super scorpion that was just as fast or faster than the Flash that was a beautiful jet that was also a throwing action to get it flying. Doesn't make sense.

    • @codyh877
      @codyh877 4 роки тому +1

      I agree with you, not sure if a lawsuit is in order, by I launched it with the same hand launch method in this video, which I used for reference. I ended up with 2 big cuts, a lot of blood lost, and 9 stitches. Is there any other way to launch the FMS flash besides the way the manual recommends (with the finger holds on the fuselage)? I posted the video on my channel (Zepcono1) word of caution, there is gore and profanity.
