    Hoping to build a custom keeb for my younger brother for Christmas. Currently planning a Drop Tokyo60 + Acrylic Diffuser + Japanese PBT InitialD keycaps + Durock V2 stabs. All i need to look for now is some affordable yet tactile/light switches. The matcha honestly sounds AMAZING for the price, and I might get them for his build. All I'll need to do though is clip the 2 plastic stems so they can fit the Tokyo60's 3-pin PCB.
    Thank you for posting these videos! I just found you yesterday and all your videos are so fun and interesting!

    I love how you use the same average custom keyboard for every video so beginners and even enthusiasts can see how big of a difference switches make, the kbd67 lite is a pretty average sound, most customs can sound like this, so ppl with one or smth similar can take that into consideration too

    • @mczstudio
      @mczstudio  Рік тому +4

      thank you. as a beginner myself thats what I aim also. it’s difficult for me to tell the actual difference of the switch itself in terms of sound profile, if i keep using different board and keycaps every time 😅

      it's also sold out and still not mass produced so no, beginners can't achieve this. you literally still have to be an enthusiast and be in tune with brands and drops. it's fucking lame

      @@mczstudio We're talking about boards not switches. anybody can afford switches and find them whenever. The KB67 Lite is sold out in 90% of colors, and the wireless version isnt even RGB lmfao. The Kiiboom Phantom 81 is overpriced and sold out in the only cool color, clear. Yunzii and Akko is literally anybody's only chance for entry level builds. Kbdfans is the lamest shit ever.

    Hey sorry for the late comment but i was wondering what mods you have on the KBD67 lite? My endgame keyboard is the exact sound you have for the lubed matcha lattes on that board. Also do you recommend lubing the switches out of the box or letting them get lubed over prolonged use? i generally favor the idea of lubing them out of the box and having them maintained by prolonged used as i dont really use every switch equally in my every day.

    Do you think the matcha latte kiiBOOM or the taro sound simillar with a modded rk68, lubed?

    • @mczstudio
      @mczstudio  Рік тому

      it probably will sound different. it has different board structure and different plate material, that contributes alot with the overall sound profile of the board

    too heavy for me. 😭 can you suggest any switches with 35gf linear and tactile. currently using akko jelly whites 🙂

    • @mczstudio
      @mczstudio  Рік тому +1

      afaik akko’s white switches are the ones at 35gf-ish. the jelly, vintage and wine white! i havent tried any other switches at that of from other brands yet
      for tactiles, cs lavender and ocean blue are at 36gf!

      I have the same problem! I type about 3000 words a day for my job, so I have to have something tactile and smooth that doesn't cause finger fatigue. I love my EPOMAKER Budgerigar (47g tactile) and my Akko V3 Switch Cream Blue (50g tactile) - the CS Lavender are good, but not as smooth as the Cream Blues, IMO. The Akko Jelly Blues are 40g - Cream Blues are still easier on the fingers. I'm about to try the Akko Sakura (Linear 39g), Epomaker Wisteria (Linear 39g) and Flamingos (Linear 35g initial force). If you have any recommendations, let me know!

    not so sure about the "waiting for them to break in" u realise that it has to actually be scratchy for it to break in, if its already smooth then there is no serious friction which would cause the break in

    • @mczstudio
      @mczstudio  Рік тому

      its not totally smooth, still abit of scratchiness to it . 😁 the website says the stem ‘self-lubed’ itself with every keystroke. so thats what I meant, there probably is a better term for it. and i may have used the wrong term 😅
