    Tell me about your vision improvement from Rocking!

    • @ferenc3460

      Hey Mark! Thanks for this video! I'm doing rocking a lot of times a day combining with stationary movement. What do you mean when you say not to over doing rocking? Is there any drawback doing it too much?

    • @MyopiaIsMental
      @MyopiaIsMental  2 роки тому +6

      @@ferenc3460 If you're just beginning then you should take it easy. The first few initial releases of tension from the eye muscles can be very intense and can make your eyes sore. However if you're past that hump, rock as much as you'd like!

      Mark what's your rx now? have you reached 20/20 yet, if you did when did you reach it?

    • @MyopiaIsMental
      @MyopiaIsMental  2 роки тому +15

      @@lstephen I've been able to see 20/20 since 2019! The problem was that I wasn't able to see 20/20 all the time. Yes, this fast improvement goes again all the other methods when it comes to vision improvement but since I learned to see clearly, my eyes have never been one prescription. It would constantly fluctuate depending on stress, mood, fatigue, etc. When you learn to release tension from you eyes and body you actually able to see perfectly clear immediately. Just because it took you xx amount of years to get to the level of myopia you have doesn't mean it will take the same amount of time to improve. Remember this is all muscle imbalances and tension. It's like learning how to get a tight hamstring to release tension so you become more flexible. The problem is that we're so used to holding tension all the time, it hard to learn to relax all the time to see clearly. Fast forward, how's my vision today? I see perfectly clear most of the time but there are times when my vision can go soft. Fact...even people that don't wear glasses don't see clearly all the time! The difference is I know exactly what causes my vision to go soft and more importantly I can clear my vision at any time when I need to. Sometime it takes a little more concentration and effort but I can clear it at will. So when is my vision soft? When I'm stressed, when I'm tired, and when I've had alcohol (some bourbons and white wine in particular can leave me foggy for a day or two). There are a few other conditions that can cause my vision to go softer but the point is once I've become aware that my eyes are getting lazy so to speak, I can get them to snap out of it and start seeing clearly again. It still take work and conscious awareness but I've not worn glasses at all in over two years! I hope this helps.

    I improved my myopia in about 2 years. Started with Bates method, used shifting method that’s very effective, I wear everyday pine hole glasses for 15-20 min while watching tv, and I’m doing Chinese acupressure at least once a day it helps tremendously. And no IPhone watching I noticed that it harms a lot my vision, iPad doesn’t. Thanks for your method I will implement. Oh and I went from -1,25 to -0,5. Also my ophthalmologist couldn’t believe he said he never so vision improvement, it’s normal they don’t want us to know it’s a huge industry ever increasing cash flow 😂😂 He told me you’ll get back in 1 to 2 years because you’ll need reading glasses. It was 4 years ago and I can see perfectly the tiniest letters. I use bates method reading very small prints in bright light (not every day but often).

    So, I took your basic course, and I have been doing the methods every day for a Especially outside of work, I will be doing the object movement exercise and the rocking a lot. I had my first clear flash for one second while walking to work today which was crazy. I saw and read a sign that was 75-100 feet away. Everything else around me cleared for a second. My mind was blown! I haven’t been able to read anything past a couple inches from my face for 14 years, let alone nearly a hundred feet away. I always needed contacts or glasses (I am -7.75 diopters in both eyes). It was an amazing experience, and I am so excited to keep going.

    • @MyopiaIsMental
      @MyopiaIsMental  Рік тому +5

      I love to hear comments like this! The clear flash is proven sign that there's nothing wrong with your eyes or vision. The problem is tension and the cure is learning how to keep your body, not just your eyes, relaxed in order to relieve tension. It can be a long journey but if you stick with it, you'll learn more about yourself then you'll ever imagine. You won't just be fixing your vision, but your entire well-being will be drastically improved! Keep at it!

    One question though, you said in your videos that you only use your glasses when necessary. I'm highly myopic in both eyes (around -7 ) and have classes all weekdays from 8am to 4pm, I have to wear my glasses during lessons for 40 minutes, should I take them off during recess (about 5~25minutes) ?

    • @MyopiaIsMental
      @MyopiaIsMental  2 роки тому +4

      Yes, absolutely! There are plenty of times you can go without your glasses throughout the day. Even while in class and listening to lectures, do you always need your glasses. Now if you need to see something on the board, absolutely use your glasses, but if you just need to listen and take notes, you don't need glasses for that. This is why I recommend glasses over contacts because you can take them on and off anytime. I'll be doing a video on this topic soon!

      I'm going to do a video on this, but for me personally, I noticed a big change when I stopped eating sugar and cut down on carbs. I'm not strictly keto but I just started eating more fresh meats and vegetables that I cook myself. I cut out a lot of processed foods. I like to think about it like this, buy stuff from the perimeter of the grocery store where you get your fresh meats, fruits, eggs, cheese, milk and vegetables and avoid the center isles where you get pastas, cookies, canned foods, etc. When it comes to drinks, I mostly drink black coffee, teas and water. I cut out sugary drinks and juices this included soda/drinks with artificial sweeteners. As for alcohol, I do enjoy a good wine or cocktail on occasion but I know certain ones will affect my vision. Particularly white wines high in sulfates and some bourbons if I drink too much. I'll talk about this much more in detail later.

    What about blur adaptation? Just asking because my eyes are around -6.00 and I was watching some endmyopia videos and they said it isn't good it introduce too much blur. I'm curious about your thoughts on blur adaptation or too much blur.
    I don't think either method is necessarily better than the other, I'm just trying to gather as much information as I can on the topic.
    Thanks for all your content!

    • @MyopiaIsMental
      @MyopiaIsMental  Рік тому +7

      I believe what people call blur adaptation is nothing more than a transitional state. There were times when I had blur but was able to function just fine. If I kept doing my techniques I used all the time, the blur would eventually clear up and I could see perfectly clear. An interesting thing I observed while in the blur states is the blur is never in one state. It can fluctuate, and if there's any astigmatism, the angle of error can change to a different angle within seconds. I believe this is the brain trying to get the eye muscles to stabilize. The more you relax and just let it happen, the faster you can clear up the blur and see perfectly clear.
      I think the problem that many have with blur adaptation is they just take off their glasses and don't *actively* work on their vision. Sure you can walk around like this all day but your vision will never improve doing this. You have to be aware of not only your surroundings to get the muscles of your eyes to work, but you also have to be aware of the movements of the muscles in your eyes themselves! The more your become aware of how your muscles are moving, the faster change you can see. The same is true for any muscle that you want to improve in the body. Many people think the techniques I teach fix the eyes. They don't! They teach you awareness of your body and that awareness creates relaxation. It's the relaxation that fixes not only they eyes, but it fixes many other things in your body that you may have never been aware of.
      I'll add one more thing. One of the biggest lessons I've learned over the years is the body is resilient. It is capable of healing itself but you have to listen to what it is telling you. It may have been said that introducing too much blur isn't good but I already knew I could see just fine after getting that first clear flash. After all that should have never been possible. I pushed myself by letting my body do the work and not trying to control everything myself. I became an observer to what my body wanted to do and then just let body handle the rest. I do believe this is why I was able to improve so fast. HTH.

      @@MyopiaIsMental
      Thank you for your detailed response!
      I've noticed that when I take off my glasses completely and tried to do a combination of active focus and pay attention to movements/objects in my periphery there were a few instances where things cleared up momentarily but I would still see multiple of an object. For example I could read text from further than where I usually would be able to, but there would one stronger line of text that was clear and other ghosted lines of the same text (I'm guessing that was due to my astigmatism). This happened only 1 or 2 times, although admittedly I haven't been very consistent with the habits.
      Would you recommend decreasing the diopters incrementally on glasses or taking off glasses completely?
      Also have had any issues with your retina? Asking because a few years ago my optometrist had said I was at increased risk of tear/detachment. So far nothing has happened yet thankfully. Is there anything you do to take care of your retina like diet or supplements or anything?

    On the street there are cars, buildings and people walking .
    What should I do to improve my vision?
    Should I focus on one point on the street and try to notice the movement of cars?
    Do I focus on near or far things?
    Do I move looking from one place to another?
    Or I look down and try to imagine the rest of the scene ?

    I've been doing triangulation,rocking and noticing perspective/movement for a while now, I've been able to feel stinging and a little watery feeling, after doing it repeatedly I do not get 20/20 vision for a few seconds nor a clear flash or sharpen my eyesight , but I sometimes I do see a little clearer than before but I do not know if it is just because their is water in my eyes . If you could,could you please tell me if it is just normal/happens to you and if not can you give me some advice
    P.S I love your vids it really gives me determination that one day I will have perfect or even better vision

      If you're seeing sharper after doing the techniques then you're on the right path. Keep at it and it will eventually improve over time. The techniques are only the movements needed to help you with relaxation but don't' focus so much on the techniques but rather what you're feeling in your body when you do the techniques. You can to constantly ask yourself do I feel muscles move in my eyes when I do the techniques, do I feel stressed, how can I make myself not feel so since. These things are more important than the techniques themselves! Ultimately, relaxation is the key and being aware of what your muscles are doing while you move.

    Hii Sir. Few urgent quick questions.
    1. When tearing and stinging occurs, it naturally feels to shut down eyes asap. So should I or better bear the pain and keep going?
    2. I read an eye yoga book which said to reading in candle light improves vision. Is that so, how? Should one try?
    3. One eye therapist told me to wear a plus 1 glasses on my myopic eyes (-7) most of the day. Is wearing plus glasses helps or rather have no glasses whole day at all.
    4. Your opinion on squinting of eyes. What's your recomm.
    Thank you thank you😊 💓

    • @MyopiaIsMental
      @MyopiaIsMental  2 роки тому +2

      1. I talked about this in my old channel: ua-cam.com/video/shwFRa35RvE/v-deo.html&feature=share&EKLEiJECCKjOmKnC5IiRIQ&t=647 in the beginning I blinked less but over time it didn't matter.
      2. I personally don't think this is a good idea. It's no different from using your cell phone in a dark room. The lighting on the thing we're reading should match the lighting of the room we're in. This is the most optimal condition in order to keep our eye muscles functioning properly.
      3. One thing I've realized is that any stimulus in front of the eye whether plus or minus distorts the way we see. In addition the brain doesn't get use to the perspective if you keep changing it all the time. This is why I learned to use my glasses as little as possible unless I absolutely needed them. This allowed me to re-learn what peripheral perspective should look like without any external influence.
      4. Squinting creates more tension and it's not recommended. When you learn to relax properly there will be no need to squint.

I don't have a lot of blur, but significant double vision. when I put glasses on, the whole visual plane seems to come much closer and larger. Have been at this for one day, and sometimes seems to have a few clear moments, even double vision seemed to get a little better temporarily and briefly.

    Hello Mark, learning to juggle comes to mind after watching this movie. I can see the similarities. Learning to juggle a lot involves peripheral vision. What do you think about this ? Does juggling engage the eye to work in the same way as the method of rocking? Personally, I can confirm that juggling improves peripheral vision, I found out for myself. However, I do not know how it can affect the sense of sight in general. I'm glad you made another movie

    • @MyopiaIsMental
      @MyopiaIsMental  2 роки тому +4

      Juggling can be an excellent way to improve your vision and yes it does help improve the peripheral and overall vision! My only hesitation for those beginning trying to improve their vision is that juggling objects move fast vs rocking. When rocking, the movement of the stationary objects are slower and your brain can get used to and better understand how things are supposed to move. After you get used to rocking adding in things like juggling or even playing sports like tennis, badminton, pickleball, etc, can help tremendously. Just like babies, you have to crawl before you can walk, before you can run!

    For some people, when they roll their tongue and the tip of the tongue goes back to the floor of the mouth, it can helps gets more oxygen through their nostrils. For other people, it is more about doing an yawn and notice tongue position while performing it. Also the upper lip position. I was looking for "How deeper my voice" to sound more confident and not to strain my throath, because my father has an outstanding deeper Voice but he smokes a lot. So I do perceived the movement of smoking, lips closed, tongue position and concentration on breath, each cigarette uses to give 15 inhales, so basically to deepen the voice -- and relax our vocal cords -- we need 10 to 15 proper inhales or yawns and plenty of water. A weird thing, Richard Bandler (NLP father) uses to say "your nose is connected to your balls", of course he is also playing with words "nose" and "knows" or "knows it", but by watching Tonny Robbins and other famous people with strong voice I can notice many of them move one or other nostrils while moving their upper lip most the time. It might simulate a slightly yawn movement that could keeps us relaxed for a long period of time.

However, realize that when you daydream often, you may be unaware of what is going on around you. You tend to zone out. My bigger question would be, what makes you daydream often and is there some issue there? Perhaps it's stress, fatigue, or lack of nutrition that causes you to zone out more at times than others?

      I believe blur adaptation is nothing more than misalignment of the stereo image. The more relaxed you become, the more the images align properly. Thanks a lot sir. You're very kind.
    One thing to ask. According to eye books, the electric light reflects on white paper and strains the eyes ( hence candle light). So Acc. to you, how to know of the optimum good lightening for reading or computer work?
    Secondly how much you washed your eyes And how?
    Thirdly, how to watch TV or Movie in theatres.
    Final query 🙈 : Should we wear sunglasses?

    • @MyopiaIsMental
      @MyopiaIsMental  2 роки тому +1

      I believe all light reflected off of paper can potentially strain eyes. However, what I learned and read from studies is the quality of the light on the thing you're looking at should match the quality of light in the surrounding area. Bright screens or paper lit by only candle light in a dark room really aren't much different to me. I could go at this from so many angles. Artificial lighting isn't as good for our eyes as naturally sunlight but there needs to be balance. We should be spending as much time in natural light as artificial lighting.
      As for washing eyes, I just wash my face when taking a daily shower. If some water gets in my eyes no big deal but I don't purposely let that happen.
      Movies and TV the answer is the same as in your first question.
      I don't wear sunglasses at all because they make my eyes too sensitive to light. Though, you can do what you want.

    What I struggle the most with (and it makes me very frustrated) is having to wear glasses at work. It's 8 hours of glasses and I can feel it gets in the way of progress. My vision is not improving anymore since I work again and have to use them so often. Sometimes while wearing them I can feel my eyes trying to adjust as if there were no glasses but that doesn't work of course. It makes my eyes feel very tired with all this confusion. The glasses I use are already 0.5 less prescription that what I would need. I don't know what to do to ger over this problem

    • @MyopiaIsMental
      @MyopiaIsMental  Рік тому +6

      This can be a challenge but think about this... There are 8 hours a day that you may have to wear glasses but there are 16 hours left in the day that you don't! Yes, part of that time is going to be when you're sleep but what about the rest of the time? In addition, find times throughout your working day when you can take your glasses off and work on your vision. It could be going to the bathroom, eating lunch or even walking across the room. The more you teach yourself to navigate the world without the obstructions of glasses the faster you start to reteach the brain to see the new perspective. As always only take your glasses off when it's safe to do so. It very much can be confusing when switching all the time (which is one of the main reasons I don't recommend differentials and normalized glasses) and I ran into this issue myself. However, I was very persistent in working on my vision every chance I got!

I have at least 10 friends that I know personally, that have had surgeries and all of them needed to go back for more surgery or they are back in glasses after 5-10 years. Surgeries are not a permanent solution unless you identify and correct the root cause, which is tension! Learning to keep your eyes and body relaxed will help you learn to relieve the tension and that is what all these techniques do. It can be a long process but it can be done. Not only will you vision become better but you'll also feel better overall because I've learned vision correction involves correcting the whole body and not just the eyes!

Raise the level of the book you're reading by putting it on a stand and have it more angled flat like chalk board. Make sure you have space and objects behind the book that you're reading. Now you can rock while reading the book and be aware of everything around. Much of this journey involves rethinking and changing the way you've done things for years.
