Lol maybe Simon will grown on me I read 3 1/2 of TMI books and I heard Simon and Isabelle shine more in the 2nd half of the series. & you're welcome! I always find your opinions interesting :D

ooh I can't wait to do this tag you know I have so many unpopular opinions on popular books and authors *hand rub* *black smirk emoji* this was so fun to watch!!
I LOVE THIS TAG! I've been binge watching all of them tonight lol. I feel like i'm the only one who likes talking about books I dislike? :P Great video! xx
OMG. I DNFed The 5th Wave too! I thought it was hella boring and hearing you say this made my day. It was a book club pick and I was just like, "guys, no. Couldn't finish." We were together until you mentioned Fifty Shades. I HATE that book, but then again, I spent almost two years recapping that crap chapter by chapter. It really is the book I hate the most in the entire world. Sorry. I'll step away from my personal trauma now. I only read the first book of the Mortal Instruments and most of the time, I was like, "PICK SIMON, CLARY. DAMMIT." I don't know what happens later but Jace? MEH. I liked Everyday pretty well, but it wasn't my favorite. However, The Lover's Dictionary is super, super cute and easy to get through. If you want to give him another shot, maybe that would be a good way to go, especially if you love play on words and language. Thanks for the tag! :)
mynameismarines omg recapping it chapter by chapter? lol I can't imagine. The Lover's Dictionary sounds really intriguing and I do Spoken word so a play on words and language?! Right up my alley I'll have to check that out! Thanks for watching my vid. and subbing :-)
Yes! I hardly ever reach for contemporary YA. I'm glad when I find a good book in that genre...but I find more often than not that they can be a little too angst-ridden for my taste. This is a brilliant tag! I have _so many_ unpopular opinions when it comes to books.
I love your tag! Whenever I find a new booktuber I will first check out their unpopular opinion tag to see if I like their unpopular opinions and/or how they express these. Thank you for that!
Noooooo! You didn't like The Fifth Wave but you liked 50 Shades! *Weeps pathetically* *Rolls on the ground* I love watching your videos. You have so much personality! I struggle to read contemporary as well. So I totally agree with you on that I've never read any David Leviathan so I'm right there with you. And I love what you said about best friends in books. I'm completely with you there! I always prefer when there's a solid friendship featured in a book.
I just discovered this book tag, and I love it! It's a great way to encourage people to open up about what they really think of popular books and series without worrying so much about being judged.
I know you said you didn't think you could get into Vampire Academy but you also said you wish their was more friendship in books. Well Vampire Academy is probably the best book I've read with two best friends who stick together through the whole series. Although they do fight like most friends . They still stuck with each other. So maybe you might change your mine.?
with jace and clary I dont dislike the couple persay but I stoped caring pretty quickly. even from the begining i cared far more the side couples than i did the main one
I love this tag, and these questions are so so good. Marking it down to do later. Also -- totally agree about Catching Fire. I think the Hunger Games books are great stories, but not particularly great writing, and I think the movies did a great job of translating them.
Thank goodness someone else hates JacexClary! Their relationship was so annoying and it was like after the first book the plot didn't even matter and all Cassandra was going to focus on was their relationship. Clary is needy and doesn't think anything through and Jace is too busy either only caring about himself or loathing himself and I just don't think they mix well at all. I honestly think that if Clary and Jace were never in the books or at least they weren't always focused on that the series would be better.
I just want to take a moment to thank you for creating this tag. I love watching everyone's videos and see them sharing their unpopular opinions - even though I don't agree with some of them, I love hearing other people's opinions. It's so very important to let out the negative and not only the positive, and therefore this has quickly become my favorite book tag. Thank you so much for creating it!
This is so good. I really want to do this because I have so many unpopular opinions on books people seem to love and authors people are obsessed with. Loved this video! :D
i always get a lot of people disagreeing with me when i say im not a fan of The Mortal Instruments or when i express negative opinions about the Hunger Games... i love this tag because it gives you a chance to express such opinions!!! i also agree with what you said about contemporary books, I've read like John Green and maybe a few other books but i mostly stick with fantasy and sci-fi
I love that you call us arrows! That's so cute :D I've only read City of Bones and found Jace and Clary to be annoying characters. I liked the other characters though, especially Magnus! But I love the world building so I'll continue with the series in the very distant future xD
It’s so funny I just realized I haven’t been saying that in my intro lately! I’ve been saying hey y’all and I couldn’t put my finger on why it sounded off lol. Yes Magnus is one of the more likable characters and the world building is what keeps me reading her books lol that and the fact that her series endings always end up being really good!
I love Catching Fire! That movie was amazing! I have to disagree with Jace and Clary because I love them, but I understand what you mean by Jace always being depressed. Anyways I am new to your channel, but I loved this video!
Nooo lol The Fifth Wave is literally my favorite book but I understand why people might not like it, it's written differently and the changing POVs were a bit confusing at first but for me I got the hang of it and I was so into it. Cassie was such a great protagonist and I loved her chapters. The Infinite Sea wasn't as great as it's prequel was for me but it was still pretty great and I lovee where I think it's headed now because that'd be such a great plot twist.
I really thought I was alone in my annoyance of Simon from MI myself lol!!!! I'm only on the 4th book, so maybe he'll get better. I heard Infernal Devices trilogy is WAY better.
Of all the books you've named that I read, we feel the same. Which is most of them. 50 Shades of Grey series is my favorite guilty pleasure read. However... I've never actually read the book. I did the audiobooks. I don't think I could physically read this book without wanting to burn it. Kinda how I felt while reading the Twilight series. And even with that, I loved the movies--go figure. I agree that FSOG has some strange magic that makes you want to continue; I love love love the email exchanges. If you ever want to give contemporary a whirl, try New Adult vs. YA. My favorites are the Pushing the Limits series by Katie McGarry and Contours of the Heart series by Tammara Weber. The stories are more gritty and real, but the relationships aren't toxic which is nice. New subscriber :)
Phew!! So nice to hear someone who wasn't in love with Clary as a character. I certainly didn't like her haha! I love this tag idea and I might have to do it at some point even though no one has tagged me :D
thank you for creating this tag I use this tag to choose which people to subscribe to, even if i dont agree with the opions, It tells you a lot about the person! :D
So many people have different tropes they are tired of seeing and each time I hear one I'm like yes! Geez it's like the publishing companies out there think we'll just go for the same stuff and not get tired. Anywho, great tag idea. I did if you would like to check it out. :)
also if u love a good friendship the new book i just read was uprooted and i loved the friendship and my fav book is vampire academy and i truly understand why u would maybe have been put off the books but i just have to say its very different to what i thought it would be and over the six books they didnt ever go through a bad patch they just got better with character development and plot twists! but the reason i mentioned VA was beacuse of the incredible friendship between Lissa and Rose

Wow just found this tag! I have a pretty new channel but I think I'm going to start thinking about my answers to this tag and film this really soon! I'll leave a link here for you when I make the video! Thx for such a great tag! :)
how come the views are so low on this video!! You created the tag!! You def deserve more views than all the other people who did this tag! Not fair. You're brilliant for coming up with this; it's one of my favorite tags ever!!!
Hey, I know that Vampire Academy was one of the series that you said you you would never read but I hope my comment might make you pause and reconsider. You commented on how you hated books where the drama between best friends is rocky and not solid but VA is one of the best examples of a bff relationship that might be put through some tests but will always remain solid and it will give you all the feels. Please don't be be put off reading these books (especially because of the title). The first book might have a lot of high school drama but once you get through it (and you will, it is addictive) you will reach a point of heartfelt emotions, adventure and more. Obviously you are entitled to your own opinion and I respect that but I am only sharing personal experiences with you :) and the first book isn't very long either so you don't need to feel forced to read all six books. Love the tag though! xx
I think Kenji from the Shatter me series shows that female main characters and a friend could just be friends. This is the perfect example. And they are hilarious together. :)
Gurl i agree completely with the fifth wave! and its my fist si fi and now i feel like maybe this genre is just isnt for me -,- ..... lemme say I LOVE UR ACCENT ! its awesomeness !!
Sausan Al-Sulaimani yooooooo i just finished watching the vid and vampire academy is the bomb! its perfectly written and the story is amazing! GIVE THE FIRST BOOK A TRY
Sausan Al-Sulaimani Don't give up sci fi!! Give it another chance. I highly recommend The Unwind Dystology by Neal Shusterman. Its a 4 book series, the first being Unwind. Its a great series that posses a lot of questions including abortion and reproductive rights, medical ethics, media manipulation, corporate control, and humanity. This series is one of my personal favorites (right alongside the Harry Potter series).
OMG I AGREED SO MUCH WITH THE FIRST ANSWER!!! I COULD NOT FINISH THAT BOOK BECAUSE OF BEN/ ZOMBIE IT WAS JUST SO HARD TO FOLLOW OMG SOMEONE WHO AGREES WITH ME XD and I agree, I loved Cassie's parts but absolutely hated the Ben Parish parts, FANDOM DONT KILL ME :X
Thank you for the Fifty Shades Of Grey part. I felt so alone in this world! xD I love the Fifty Shades Trilody (especially Fifty Shades Darker) and I know it was poorly written (3 stars for me) but the experience, especially with the next two books, omg, it's all about giving life new oportunities and changing someone's life with love. I loved it and fuck whoever gives me hate for it! xD
I liked the 5th wave but I never complain when people say they hate it because I didn't like the Hunger Games and I got annoyed when people give me the "how can you not like the HG" speech
Oh my god you are the first person ever to agree with me that Simon is a terrible character. I don't know what it is about him either, but he turned me off from page one. He actually is my most hated character, I can't stand him. But even though I love Jace as a whole, he totally annoys me too with his whole 'internal conflict' of "oh well I must be loyal to my father/brother because they are my blood even though they are bad" that bugged me so much.
yes me too. fifty shades of gray was addicting for me too. I didn't like it because of the sexual stuff so I put it down. but for me it was an addictive read. good thing I stop at 1/3 of the book. lolol.

You're the brain behind this tag? Cool!
I have to admire your honest review of "50 Shades."
Side note, I love your hair in this video.

Not Jace and Clary!!!! lol I love them together
You got a hit on this question! Great job!! This is not just for readers... this is for writers as well...like me!!!

Thank you for the Fifty Shades Of Grey part. This is such a great tag and Ive loved every video that has done this tag! You are so cute in this video, gonna check out your other videos now :)
Fantasy/ Paranormal all the way! I love this tag, great video.. I'm totally doing it.
Ashley Dominique yay! I just saw your video pop up in my suggested watches I'm about to go check it out now! :D
I would like to do this Unpopular Books Tag. One book series that I will never read is 50 Shades of Grey. I've never going to read it.
I never wanted to read Mara dyer either but i picked it up randomly and I read the first book in 1 sitting!!! And I'm currently reading book 2!
I feel the same as you! I have absolutely no interest in reading the Vampire Academy series...
Great idea for a tag! I will definitely do this one!
Rileymarie1196 yay! I remember liking your Disappointing books of 2014 video so I had to tag you! Looking forward to your answers :-)
A series with a great best friend relationship is The Walker Saga by Jaymin Eve
I liked the 5th wave but I never complain when people say they hate it because I didn't like the Hunger Games and I got annoyed when people give me the "how can you not like the HG" speech
Catching fire was my least favorite book in the series, but the movie was so accurate!
I totally agree about catching fire!
You are soooo nice *-* And it's an amazing idea of a tag!
I didn't like it because of the sexual stuff so I put it down. but for me it was an addictive read. good thing I stop at 1/3 of the book. lolol.
"was it a 5 star book? God no." im dead lol.
This tag is life.
This is BRILLIANT!
I love clace (clary and jace) but your right: they have the worst communication skills ever!! And their relationship does have a TON of drama
+Charlotte Rosdahl ikr, like when they made out even when they believed they were siblings :/
I've never been able to get into David Leviathan's writing either
THANK YOU FOR AGREEING WITH ME ON CATCHING FIRE!!!!!!
O YEAH, vampire academy.. Same here..
YOU HAVE TO READ MARA DYER IT IS MY FAVOURITE BOOK SERIES EVER IT IS AMAZING!!!
Agree so much with Clace. I like Jace as a character (he's interesting and I like his sense of humor), but he is a horrible, horrible boyfriend. Didn't get it at all.
Omg thanks so much for jace and clary!! I liked them in the first three books but their relationship dragged SO MUCH it made me dislike the two. I'm Ngl I love Simon and Isabelle together and malec way more, especially in shadowhinter academy. Jace and clary just don't do it for me, he's not even comparable to will/jem imo
Hahaha, this tag it great! I'm so doing this! Thanks for the shout out! XD
stiqula lol I know your video is going to be so good! and no problem :D btw I'm so excited for your book!
I kinda liked 50 shades as well😳
Thank you so much for tagging me:D
You should read ruby red by kerstin gier if you want to read about a good solid friendship!
I guess my unpopular book opinion is that I really dislike the mortal Instruments series. I could not even finish the first book. I got 3/4 of the way through it in the middle of the climax and was bored.
This is such a lovely tag!
Can I do it as a blog post? :)
I didn't really like Simon either! I think it was because he was so butt-hurt over Clary not wanting to date him. UGH.
I did not like The 5th Wave either. And I haven't heard anything good about the sequel. Bleh. :/ Thanks for tagging me!!
Best tag ever!
I love this tag!
i just filmed this tag. It will be up on my channel soon
