The fact someone tried to use that credit card for Steam, then you turn around and use that instance as a reason to use your sponsor is absolutely hilarious.
One thing I noticed immediately... The machine came running macOS 10.13 High Sierra, which isn't natively supported on the Mid-2009 model (they support up to 10.11 El Capitan officially). I'm curious about whether or not they used my High Sierra Patcher tool to install it; I can almost guarantee you they did.
Check and see if the portions of my patcher are there... Should have Patch Updater in /Applications/Utilities, LegacyUSBInjector.kext in /Library/Extensions, as well as a few other files and directories.
3 possibilities I see: 1. Knows it’s a UA-camr so fluffed the sale so then possibility that would get recommended (I say unlikely) 2. Someone grabbed the wrong pre-packed box or switched labels by mistake. (Most likely) as someone who used to sell on eBay this has happened to me I no longer pre-pack boxes. 3. Technique I heard happens, occasionally randomly “fluffing” sales by upgrading users to higher spec machines. Do this hoping someone makes a second purchase (which will atleast break even) or blindly recommends it on reddit and social media and they see a flood of sales. Bonus 4th: someone may not known the difference, maybe new person being trained didn’t know better or was being rushed. This again happened to me back when I was a regular seller and had seasonal high volume sales, hire help on it seems easy enough even had things stacked and labeled but was always a few that got mixed up.

Nice job demonstrating this. I only wish more people in the comments understood what you did... especially since you explained it so bluntly and anyone with any common sense should be able to figure out the whats, ifs, and whys.
Thank you Luke for this great review. I was looking at this seller but now no way. Believe it or not my Macbook Pro is a late 2008, and I bought it use! It still works for what I do on it, except for 3 things, the screen is now separating from the body, running on 5 minutes of battery plugged in always and lastly I need to upgrade my browser.
