Praise be to God firstky for the Divine Mercy Ministries around thr World who have brought millions of people to Christ. Not only that, thru their teachings millions are prevented fm leaving the Catholic Church & joining the Non-catholic denomination Churches.
Secondly, thankful to Jesus for Priests like Fr Joseph Edattu who fearlessly teach God's Word. He was one of the Priests who tirelessly ministered the Catholics during the most crucial & fearful years of Covid. Through this Divine ministries & Fr Joseph Edattu millions of people received healing and overcame fear & grief.

When I was helpless, I have experienced miracles by repeating Word of God. Undoubtedly, Word of God has power. It has strenthened me to accept God's will. It is a kind of prayer, in my case.

Be aware all of you, as you say the prayer of "Our Father who art in Heaven". When you recite this everyday "thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven". Dont mock God Almighty as you say this prayer, it must be always "Thy will be done", else all those who presume otherwise will become the tool of Satan.
In India almost most of us, keep grudge with others, that also must be removed from deep down the heart.
Dont ever mock God, as you say the prayer while doing the contrary.
If any one in these situations get some temporal benefits, they are not from God but from Satan, and these will become the avenues for damnation. Be aware of the eternity of hell and eternity of heaven, as only "a few" will make to heaven.

Repeating Word of God increases our faith and miracles are performed.I repeat to increase my faith, and miracles will happen only if it is the will of God.
Fr Joseph edattu's preaching is right and according to catholic faith. I also started to repeat the word of God from few months, and i have seen and experiencing many changes and blessings and miracles in my life.

Fr. Joseph is truly a blessing to all of us all over the world. He explains every word of God in simple lay people's language so many relate to it. If God's will is not to grant the favors we ask even when we memorize & recite the word of God, we know & accept that as we know God gives & heals in his own time.

There is nothing wrong in Father Joseph eddatus preaching, in fact He is a blessing, his preachings are accurate. There are talks by Father on sufferings also, if we watch, it's clear he is not involved in prosperity gospel, pls watch it.

The only solution to your concern here that people could be misguided and will be left with a sense of guit, - since it's the word of God, whether peoples prayers are answered or not, they will definitely get many blessings and graces cz of their trust and faith in His word, no one will be left guilty, even if there are people who end up in a false hope, since it's Gods word which is powerful, it will definitely yield the fruit for which it was sent by God and recited by the person in faith! - not an answer but God's love piercing the heart and soul of the person reciting it- definitely no guilt or hopelessness!
Hi Fr Eddatu does at times mention the words: If it is on the will of God (when he preaches in this way). However i agree that if it was stated that its because we lack faith the blessing doesnt happen, then while in some cases its true in others its not - it can just be God will

Its better for you to listen to the spirit behind his preaching. If you have anything to to say do it personally. People are drawn to Christ through his preaching. Its better for us to pray for all the preachers than to criticize them.
I don't think fr would have meant it that way, as magic spell or so that we will get whatever we ask for, he simply meant to say that the word of God has the power to heal and transform the soul, it does not go out from the mouth of God in vain, it will accomplish the purpose it was sent for! When fr says the word of God can bring healing, deliverance etc, it does not necessarily mean it wil heal or deliver us the way we expect, need or are asking for it, the simple faith that we put in His word will help us better understand and experience the depths of God's love! Maybe fr was just trying to help us build faith in the power of the word of God, even if people have a false guilt of not getting what they desired, atleast the faith with which they recite God's word will sanctify them, and the Word itself will reveal to them god's plan and will, so that their trust and faith in God's will and love for them only builds up more.
Listening to his videos where Fr preaches about god's will, we can just assume for the good here maybe, on fr's intention - on the power of the word of God, irrespective of the words he used, which I feel it was just a slip of a tongue and may not have meant that way - that we will get whatever we ask for, I don't think fr Joseph is preaching the prosperity gospel even subtly, afterall they have all been working in His vineyard tirelessly and such mistakes once in a while are bound to happen, they could be just misinterpreted or misunderstood.

I don't know who this priest is? As a laity we are always welcome to clarify our doubts about a priest or a bishop in an appropriate manner by writing to them or their superiors. We can even write to Vatican if it is a serious complaint. But as a laity, I am sure we don't have the authority to question a consecrated priest in mass communication medium. This method of criticism is followed by the laity so called 'traditionalists' who are filling the social medias criticising the Pope, the bishops presuming they hold such office. Such media contents has become a stumbling blocks to confused catholics and non-catholics who are considering to enter the Catholic Church. Hence you ensure that you don't fall into the pit of traditionalists whose chief belief is criticising on social media can solve the church crisis.

I understand that your heart is in the right place and your intention is good, however the points you have highlighted about Fr Joseph Edattu’s teachings are incorrect. Father has brought thousands of people to Jesus and has stood by them through various ministries during the tough times in COVID. He teaches about various doctrines of the Catholic Church, he has covered intensive topics on our lady and has conducted Bible Studies entirely focused on the Eucharist. If you hear father’s testimony you will know that he has had his own share of sufferings and I’m sure he knows much more about allowed sufferings and consequential sufferings. I don’t understand the need for asking those questions at the end. We are all a part of the body of Christ, let’s build up one another in a Christ like manner. Once again, I know your intention for the church and its people is good, I appreciate all your works in the past. God bless you.

Also doesnot Wisdom 16 12-22 verse 12 say "No medicine or ointment cured them. They were restored to health by your word, O Lord, the word which heals all humanity."
In these instances it was the word of god that healed them!

Dear I follow most of your videos. I like your different way of thinking. But the video showed here about Fr.Joseph is not evident for all that you argue.. If you evaluate him based on few videos I think you have to judge Fr Daniel , Fr. Dominic , Fr. Mathew , Fr. Panackal , Sr. Carmel , Br John D
Etc.in the same way.. they all Said similar things in their videos. I think the way you judge them is too narrow. Your school of thought contradicts with Catholic church the indulgence procedure. You get absolution from temporal punishment if you perform some acts prescribed by Church isn't it..?

I'm seeing mixed reactions on this video. While Fr. Joseph does not promote the prosperity gospel, the UA-cam shorts posted by DRC UK can mislead those who do not have the time and patience to listen to the entire talk. And the snippets shared does seem like ' ask and you shall receive' promises. Perhaps the UA-cam shorts should be controlled. And this is not only with DRC UK but with many gifted and renowned preachers. Sometimes we got to be careful on what channel and medium the messages are being viewed.

Brother please listen to Fr Joseph's every talk. It's not cool to crop a small part of the video and expose. You must have misunderstood. Father was talking about power of the word of God. Most of His talks are focused on salvation. And what Father meant was claiming the word of God - "According to the will of God". And Father never promotes any prosperity gospel. Also, his preaching really touches us and brings us much more closer to God.
Also, we don't have any authority to talk against any priest.
I'm really saddened to see this video. It sounds like attacking our own people and creating divisions and confusion amongst our own people.

There are many ancient prayers in the catholic and orthodox faith which repeats a certain word of God eg. Centering prayer . It is nothing new. There are even monks who have repeated only one Bible verse day and night for 50 years.
For what purpose ?
Please read Genesis chapter one - it is the word of God that creates. When a person confesses the word many times it becomes flesh in this. This is the purpose of all centering prayer - Union with God through creation and aligning all created things to union with him. Nothing wrong in it.

First, Man forces God to give what one needs, but most of these answers are not answered, coz we are made in His image and God don't want us to go through more pain in our life again.
Asking what is impossible with oneself.... But many a times we (A) persistently ask God for change in another person (B) as that (B) person is not ask the same thing what (A) is asking, instead (B) is asking for (C) truly, answers for our prayers are difficult.
Still, we are brought to light of understanding, that journey will finally transform us.

so, when a preacher preaches, he should say something to all the categories, making it relevant to each person’s wounded and broken nature. creating breakthroughs within each and every one based on the level and the severity of their personal problem.
Therefore, it is unfair to take a section of anyone's gospel preaching out of context, and then judge the meaning based on our personal woundedness.
I think such mature efforts of Father Joseph have been misinterpreted by JD as he is trying to narrow down Father Joseph's sermons in to prosperous gospel category….!!!

I kindly request you to listen to all Vincentian Father's preaching carefully and with full attention before making any judgements. They are also preaching about the cross we as Christians have to take on us and how we can get the help of God to carry our cross.
And at the end of every prayer, we also pray "not our will but God’s will be done", which our priests taught us to pray.
You are saying, it is not wrong to pray with bible verse or claiming it but not to use it as a magical tool. Don't worry brother, this can not happen. You have to trust in God, have faith in the power of his word, only then the word will work in us and our life's. This kind of repeating the bible words helps us to open up ourselves towards God to let his will be done to us.
I don't understand you are just praying and mentioning the bible words without having faith in them? Don't you know how often Jesus said "your faith has healed you"?
If anything we claim is not God's will, he will let us know this and gives us strength to carry it. Matthew 11:30. This is also what Father Joseph and other Vincentian Father's taught us.
I would like to share my experience. After more than 10 years of waiting, we got a baby girl. Right from the beginning of the pregnancy it was told us that it is a risky pregnancy and the baby won't survive or would be severely disabled.
Exactly the same Vincentian Father's have taught us how to put our worries on God's hand and carry our cross by claiming the same bible words. The situation has not changed initially, we have a disabled daughter. But we have changed. We learned to have a relationship with God and he lead us through our toughest times and through Vincentian Father's guidance and claiming the bible words God helped us to be happy and enjoy our baby girl. Our great God is working miracles in our daughters life after initially putting through some trials, for the Glory of God and our Good.
As you said the tough path we have had to go through has molded us, but Jesus strengthen us through the Vincentian Father's and their preaching. Vincentian Father's also said claiming the bible words is not to convince God to do something for us but as often we repeat the words, the bible word start working in us. Jesus is word became flesh. So when Jesus comes into us, nothing negative can happen. He can heal and help if it is his plan or he can strengthen us to carry our cross with the same bible verse. Everything we have to do is surrender ourselves completely to him and have faith in him.
Without completely surrendering to God and having complete faith in him, claiming the bible words and receiving healing and prosperity may look like using bible word like magical stick😂. Don't under estimate God's words, the whole world was created by the word of God.
