Awesome video good sir!! I have really enjoy my FL5 Type R too! I traded my 2019 FK8 for my 2023 FL5! After owning my FL5 for a year and a half in my opinion it is all around a better car than the FK8! Both great cars but I would never go back to my FK8! I owned many new Honda civic Si’s prior to my Type R’s over the last 15 years! I owned 09’ , 12’ , 14’, 17’ all Si sedans! I have always had good experience with Hondas and am a big fan! Keep up the great content!! 🚙😃👍
Yes they can. Only way to go around it would be to buy a secondary ECU and clone it then swap out to the untouched factory ECU prior to bringing it to the dealer.
How much HP/torque you made on the dyno? How do you like the tune so far? I’m also considering drive to Derek to get my fl5 tune with just intake turbo inlet pipe and exhaust/front pipe included, not sure how much power I can get with just these mods, I would be happy if I can make 340WHP with little bit of crackle and pop like the type S
hey brother so because of this video i will be heading to them but out of curiosity did you have a downpipe on and drove to them with no tune? im intending on getting an rv6 but if they cant do that install i would have to get it put on first and take the trip out there i dont want this to possibly harm my car in any way
Hey. Yes, all my parts were on before driving to him. They don't do installs there. You won't harm the car running stock tune with downpipe or bolt ons.
Got it from Amazon. I don't recommend it anymore, I tried 2 different kinds and it bubbles up in extreme heat. I'm running the screen without a protector now.
Yup! PRL intercooler, HVI intake, inlet, charge pipes, two step performance catted downpipe. Baseline was 320hp/348lb ft to with stock map and mods. Typically 300hp/320lb ft tq on this dynapack dyno with no mods.
@@shadtography K seems a nice bump for fun without too much compromise and keeping it reliable. What are injector cycles at and are you going to do a few more mods or leave it?
In my opinion, yes! However, you can also purchase an entire from IMW which will take a few calibrations / revisions to complete. Worth it if you aren't in a rush (e-tune). If you like driving/adventures then dyno will be awesome.

Stock exhaust with the TSP downpipe and PRL front pipe sounds sick, I appreciate you taking video of that.
I also have the smaller resonator deleted towards the front of the car back exhaust to similar to the Integra type s system. Just keep that in mind!

Just a preference. I feel as if the custom tuning is a bit more tailored to the car. Phearable is good too!
Just got mine tuned and it feels like stock.. not sure why all the youtubers hype this but its not a "night and day" change like people claim it to be
