I just received mine yesterday TYM 494 cab and shuttle shift and believe me it is very easy to shift from forward to reverse and i have more PTO hp and not worried having to change 10000$ hydraustatic pump after warranty expires .HST is not available on any bigger Utility tractors of any brand for a reason ,it is good for loader operation and snow removal but not good for agriculture and will never last as long as a power or mechanical shuttle (reverser)
We have never been inside a HST transmission or any transmission and we have been a dealer since 2010. We have a 454 mechanical transmission that come in with a broke shuttle lever. The reason it broke is he loaned it out to someone but failed to tell them to press the clutch when changing directions from forward to backwards.
I have a TYM t450, it is a good tractor with a couple exceptions. The radiator attracts a lot of dirt that won't come out without removing it and washing it lot from both directions with a garden hose. The second problem is with the engine mounting, the bolts loosen up easily and have to be re torqued frequently. Otherwise I like the tractor.
Try implementing a finer mesh screen or filter material (like a a return air filter in your house) in front of the radiator or on the hood screens. The newer units have a finer mesh screen than to older models. The engine mount bolts...is a new on to me. If you cannot go with a larger diameter bolt, go with a longer bolt with a spacer or additional washers with a nylon lock nut or red thread locking compound. The longer bolt will provide more stretch and will spring back.
I haven't seen a lot of videos of TYM Tractors on UA-cam. I have the t494.only been 6 months the tractor works great. TYM could have put a stronger bucket on it though. I bent the one that came with it. I replaced it with a heavy duty skid steer bucket. Other than that everything else works great.
TYM doesn't have very many dealers. I am guessing if they continue to grow then the price will grow as well like it did with Kubota. Maybe they saved some money using a cheaper bucket.
One guy who bought an RK55 said he thought the tractor is kind of narrow for the size. I saw a RK55 in person and they are lot bigger tractor than i though - mainly the tires are quite a bit bigger.
Will it run a 100 Bbl/Minute blender? If it will, get me one ready for next month likely. Do want the one with the rear lift arm control out side of the cab. Been out 3 times already to talk, wife said it was the 4th, but figured you were still 24/7. Might have watched 30 Tong Yang Moolsan reviews, all seem to be very positive even the ones that say this is the ban news. Am now too old to work on one & then run one, and need A/C.
It will run the suction pump but not the booster. I suggest the 494 or the 574 both have out side controls for the three point. These tractors don't have a computer either. TYM builds 9000 units for Mahindra, and have since the late 90s. They build for Zetor and Rual King. They are a lot easier to work on than european built tractors.

I cant find much on tym,dealers i find just list "call now" for a price....im in ohio,want to know price difference between tym and rk tractors(yes i know its same manufacture) and also what about bobcat? Looks and features seem like a white tym to me
no way the 454 as a yanmar engine vs kukje(cummins) , 454 as smaller loader tx 55 lift cap.2478lb vs tx 57 lift cap 2790lb ,454 is not loader 3rd fonction ready ,454 as no 3point hich exterernal hydraulic lift lever ,454 as 46HP vs 48.2 hp and 34.6 PTO HP vs 37.2,454 as smaller rear tires ag size is 24`` vs 26`''.494 is an overall slightly bigger tractor whit more standard options
Sorry about the TYPE-O the 494 has features the 454 does not. The lift arms on the 494 can be operated at the rear of the tractor and the 454 does not. the cab has a few more bells and whistles than the 454. The biggest selling point for the 454 is the Yanmar engine. Both Kukje and Yanmar are great engines but Yanmar is proven in the industry. TYM offers 574 with Kukje engine with Hydro-static transmission. We been a TYM dealer for 10 years and never been in a TYM transmission.
@@smallfarminnovations4265 Too bad TYM hardly has any dealers. The closes thing to me is a Rural King and that is still an hour drive. Plus, I don't think Rural King is set up to work on these tractors like a regular dealer. I just wish the stupid government would back off the emissions crap. I read an article the other day that older tractors are really in demand because of the complicated mess on newer tractors.
Just wish they would put a guard the steering arm or put it behind the axle.

RK will be higher . It's the same tractor.
I thought the 494 had a plug for a trailer on the rear? Does the 494 have 12.5x16 front tires?
Front tires IND 12-16.5. There may not be a Euro- type Trailer plug on this tractor.

It does act as a muffler.
