Bought the 474 with cab and backhoe. Love all of it. First tractor and now at 200 hours, so still learning. I'm 6'1" and 230 lbs so the seat will bottom out on big bumps. So far, that is my only complaint. TYM should make a beginner's tractor operation video series. I certainly needed it. Love tim's videos.
I have a 2019 TYM T474, so far 310h with absolutely no problems. It hasn't even asked me for a regen yet, but I do work it between 1800-2400rpms mostly.
My TYM 234 HST has 750 hours on it. I've had the front loader arms crack off twice. I added steel and bracing to the tractor and so far, so good. The backhoe separated from the tractor the first hour of use, and then I welded up a new bracket to attack it to the rear center pin. Now it stays on. During use, 3 of the bearing posts of the backhoe failed and I welded them back on with additional metal, which has worked well so far. The rear upper attachment of the backhoe to the transmission then broke into little pieces, I had to weld up a beefer bracket. At 700 hours, the main frame cracked and the tractor about folded in half, and cracked the plastic seat surround (the body as in were that in most tractors is steel) was destroyed. Total parts are $2500 to restore it to service. I did all the work. took me about 50 yours total to disassemble and reassemble the unit. I am done with TYM products. This machine could have killed me more than a few times, I feel lucky. I am going to unload this thing as soon as I can find a buyer.
Just Had a 2021 t474hc Ordered 2 days ago. Could not beat the price. $24777. Excellent video. I have watched your instruction videos on the Loader and Backhoe removal/Instillation on this exact model.
@@zachpotter1210 look on equipment trader.com i saw a t474 there for 25900. But not sure of cost to ship it's in Maryland. Plus that was a winter closeout to clear out old inventory. Raised it 1k the day after I called.
With the cab, forks, backhoe, loader.. taxes in is around 70k CAD here in Nova Scotia. Really like the tractor but financing options are poor (they have very flexible payments plans but unfortunately high interest rates. Kubota offers 0% for 84 months.
I have this tractor, he stated you should only run 4-wheel drive in low range. I never heard that before and I have used my 4-wheel drive in medium range is that wrong?
i am told if i buy a used one with less than 200 hrs on it i get the remainder of warranty, free. at delivery the dealer says i need to pay $250 for the warranty. is this true or should it be free? secondly, i waited for it to be run into the service shop to be checked over. they deliver it and it was 3/4 gal low on coolant, low on hydro and the engine oil was also low and way way overdue to be changed. i feel i can not trust this dealer to believe i need to pay for the warranty they told me was free to begin with. they got my trade in dropped this off and ran home , any insight?
38 at the PTO? The TYM literature shows 31.8 on the HST version, and 35.4 for the gear drive. This guy indicates "This tractor is 38 PTO" and it is a HST. Misleading
I have a 2021 TYM 474 shuttle shift, the engine has 48.3 HP and 35.9 PTO hp.Just FYI I run a 6-foot bush hog no problem, just went over 100 hours this week. Tony was told that someone dynoed it and it had closer to 40 PTO hp but who knows, maybe thats why he rounded the TYM spec of 35.9 to 38.
Thank you. My husband and I are about to purchase this tractor...we can hardly wait!

I recommend you replace it with a caterpillar crawler. That is obviously what you need
A d8 would fit you well by the sounds of things.
Love this tractor. Just about a perfect tractor.
I'm with you Tony on that statement.
Agreed. Plenty of HP
Nope. Kubota mx5400
What 2 idiots have this thumbs down!!!!! This is excellent information. If I'm ever able to get one it will beTYM 474 or 494.
