Zowie EC2-C vs Vaxee Outset AX - Full Shape Comparison

  • The EC2 and Outsex AX are very frequently compared to each other and for good reason. They both follow the same general design and feel similar in hand. My issue is that people are often too reductive in how they speak about the two shapes, so I wanted to create a more thorough comparison that I hope could further the discussion about what makes this slanted, asymmetrical design tick.
    I might tweet sometimes, give me a follow :) KraftyCraftKraf

    The ec2-c matches my 19,5 cm / 11 cm hands perfect. I fell in love with the zowie ec2-c and would highly recommend it! ✌️

    Even tho I can probably main/endgame the outset, my main problem is it feels too chonky and in my hand sometimes making it uncomfortable, left side makes my thumb ache quite a bit, and the high button height just feels awkward for me when trying to be precise, it’s damn stable tho ngl haha ec2 might be better for me. But I do agree 100% is a safer and more universal shape.

    I am stuck between Razer Orochi v2, EC3-C and OUTSET AX. In fact, Razer feels really comfortable and flexible, but sometimes I find it unstable because it is too small. What would you recommend me? 21-11 cm hand and relax claw-fingertip type grip.

    Hey krafty, congrats on another great review!
    I think you can help with this. I have the exact same hand size and I hybrid claw grip the mice with the left side of my palm touching the mouse in ergo mice. I have been maining gpx for 2 months but it isn't for me because I don't control ambi as good as ergo(the best control I got with a mouse was with xtrfy m4, but holes are to slippery for me). I'm looking for a new ergo and I'm debating between outset AX and ec3-c or even the ec2-c since I like the m4. Which one do you think will feet me better based on your experience with those mice? I'm a professional warzone player, so mobility, control and consistency in performance is something that I look for mainly

    • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому +1

      I think that the outset would be your best option. Its bulbous hump and right side flare allow you to make a good amount of hand contact and feel locked in and stable. It's still balanced enough that you should feel flexible with it and feel not as restricted as its beefy size would suggest. I personally aim better with the ec3 because of the shorter button height and thinner grip width, but I don't think that it would work out as well for your use case. It's so short that it'll be hard to get a good amount of palm contact without placing your fingers very far forward or curling them quite aggressively. If these types of grips work for you, then it's a great shape, but otherwise, it'll feel like it works to sacrifice hand contact for the maximum mobility possible on an ergo. The ec2 would feel the most stable out of the three and get you a nice feeling of palm contact, but it's likely that you would feel restricted by the shape in a faster-paced game that utilizes more vertical mouse movements.

    Ergo mice seem to be the most comfortable mice to use, but which ergo mice (excluding the NP01S) that you tried has the most precision and does it still retain top tier comfort? Maybe EC3C?

    • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому

      Yeah the EC3-C has a good feeling of precision for an ergo. It has the lower buttons and thinner grip of the ec2 but it is super short so you can still freely use your fingers to aim. It's a really solid mouse.

      @@bespoke555 can’t speak for him but I am currently expirementing with those, I’ve used the s2 since it came out and recently bought the s2C and ec3c and the ec3c made my precision even better, because of the extra surface contact for my ring and pinky finger. Went from 1180 on 1w6ts to 1300 1w6ts small (41cm) in a single day

    • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому

      I like the S2-C more in that regard. I feel I aim too calmly on slanted ergos in general, so a more aggressive claw shape like the S2 feels like I have more control and can be more precise.

    Do you know how to sand glossy outset ax to be it like matte version? Because the glossy is too sticky :(

    • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому

      Get a scotch brite sponge and evenly scrub the coating down with the green side until you like how it feels. This is what I did to my np-01g and I like how it feels. It isn't the same as the matte coating because the vaxee matte finish has a pretty unique feel, but it won't feel sticky like the glossy and still retain a good grip, especially for sweaty hands.

      The S2-C has been really good to me and I've mained it since release. I feel very consistent on the shape and my aim is well-rounded with no issues at all. It's been feeling like a reliable workhorse for me which I enjoy a lot. Recently, I have been using the gpx more than I usually do to test out pads and get a change of pace from the S2, and it's felt really good in this time. I'm still an S2 main, but the gpx has been trying its hardest to win me back.

      I use anywhere from 40-25cm / 360. I use different settings based on the game or what I need to do and I adapt to a new sens pretty quickly so I end up changing it frequently. 32cm is my most comfortable, neutral feeling sens, though, so it's what I end up using the most.

      The pad that I've tried that felt the most like the gsr was the eclipse. It is way less muddy and faster overall, but the feeling is somewhat similar to a cool and dry gsr. Other pads like the yet unreleased Jupiter from Lethal and xtrfy gpz1 seem pretty similar aswell, but I haven't tried those pads yet.
