- warning - long video!
Here we use JLR dealer level diagnostics to fault code read, then wiring diagrams and electrical tests to isolate the fault.
Strictly speaking we don’t have to use Pico for this...we could just use a good digital multimeter...but Pico allows us to monitor more than one thing at once, and as the laptop screen is large we can see what’s going on from the other side of the car - very useful with large vehicles and convoluted wiring looms!
Another great video..nice to see what's involved
Jas another great video.......thankyou for making brilliant videos...
Geoff thanks! Good to know people watch these things 😅
Nice content joe 👍 thanks for taking the time to post
No worries John ☺️ glad you like it!
The ground path is via the return pin and the module, so without wiggling the connector the potential difference of 12V indicates an open circuit (?) and then when you wiggled the connector and the return signal briefly went up to 12V, that was completing the circuit? How then does the wheel speed sensor work? Great videos BTW, love all the pico work!
Here we have the Land Rover Fatbum... hardly seen in the wild and quite rare amongst Land Rover fans...
Fascinating! Really looking forward to bringing my D4 into you on Wednesday knowing it will be in such capable hands!
Mark Pewsey for a 4-year service and MOT!
Thanks for the booking and the comment ☺️
Great find, where do you buy the terminals.
Cheers
Another awesome video Joe! Thank you! I have one small question though, instead of replacing the female socket within the connector, would it be permissible to just compress it slightly with a pair of pliers so it grips the pin on the module a bit better?
That’s possible Kevin - but take my word for it those female sockets are SUPER delicate, and made of multilayered and folded *thin* metal...just the right amount of force to compress it rather than crush it would be really really hard to do. But yeah...as a test or as a get you home/bush fix that’s a good call 👍👍
And thank you!
@@joehodgy That makes perfect sense Joe. Thanks again.
How can I order the original one?
