It was off as I perforned the test as this test is independent from the engine. When this sofware or the controller shown in the previous video are used, both operate the fbh using the W-bus (pin 2 of fbh connector). When the fbh is used as auxiliary heater of car's engine, land rover's can bus is used instead for the fbh opearation. So both methods of fbh controll are different from each other.
@@tdv8fixes94 may I pick your brain again. Iv ordered the diagnostics usb tool just waiting on it. Fbh didn't work this year so my local garage wiped the fault code on my lr3 06. It then fired a few times but didn't stay running for long.now the car has locked it out again so won't even try to run. Q1 can I do the test with car still in lockout. Q2 will the car register me doing tests and lock it out again. Many thanks gaz.
@@gazwishbone8381 The fbh will lock after 3 failures. You can reset it also by disconnecting (I think) fuse 28 for some seconds. With the software, if the fbh gets flame for at least 8 minutes (I think) you will have access to co2 adjustment. Try to increase the value a little (it will increase speed of combustion fan) and see if it get better. Note the original value before changing it. Don't go below it. As a try before you get the software to see if the issue is connected to air volume, after reseting with the fuse, you can put a hair dryer on fbh's air inlet forcing more air into it. If you keep the flame alive longer, than co2 adjustment will help, if not the cause is another one.
