My favorite way for steady caps in New Vegas is using the perk "Them's good eatin" where every living think you kill has a decent chance at having 1-3 black blood sausages or thick red pastes. Strong healing items that sell for quite the pretty penny. The only creatures these don't drop from are full robots, so you can get alot of them. (Even the ghosts in the Sierra Madre drop them!) It takes lv 20 to unlock though so it wouldn't have been much help for you sadly. If it was available earlier though then it could have knocked an hour or so off your already impressive time
If you do goodsprings powder ganger glitch I usually give myself a 10-20 level head start on new characters anyways sometimes 30+ because lower levels are always the most boring sadly unless u perfectly do things and make it fair challenge and not too hard difficulty wise
I'm level 19 right now on my two day old save, doing the Honest Hearts DLC. Sided with the NCR and the only main quest left is the last one. I'll get that perk. I wanna mod and upgrade all the weapons I main and have enough ammo surplus to never worry about it again.
@@Sir_toasternot that i'm aware. But it gives you the ability of getting the silent running perk which makes feet noise non-existent. but you aren't running anyway while overemcumbered.
I was always annoyed that if you actually got 1 million caps you couldnt give it to the kid in freeside for the C finder. Would have been great to see him living in some crazy fancy hotel with private security lol .
2 guys with pool cues tried to rob me 10 ft from that kid... i was wearing power armor and a minigun... this kid is not making it to the nearest king to not get robbed lol
Would have been a bit easier if you've collected pre-war clothes and cigarettes in DeadMoney DLC. You can put them back in into vending machines for chips and change chips for pre-war money. This way I finished this DLC with about 220k worth pre-war money plus almost 400k in gold from the vault.

That trick within old world blues was really sick. Using the hologram emmiter to pass 12hrs. If you did gecko hides, consider checking the value of tanned hides from honest hearts. Also weapon repair kits can be an amazing way to boost the value of near broken weapons you steal. Easy way of turning like 5 kits and a 30 cap item into an item worth 5k. If you have trouble making the kits, sometimes the nelson airbase sells them.
i am very surprised you didn't abuse the lonesome road commissary terminal, it resupplies itself with 6000 caps whenever it gets close to 6000 remaining
You deserve your subcount and success. The editing and presentation and ideas you have in your videos is insanely high in quality. Probably my favorite "new" creator of the year

Lonesome Road Vendors reset immediately if you sell enough items to lower the vendor caps to around 200 caps then leave the vendor; will not work if the vendor has more than 200 caps or you take all the vendor caps leaving it at 0 caps. Get barter, speech and charisma high and get lower buying prices & higher selling prices then trade the gold bars for resell-able items then go to Lonesome Road and hit a vendor machine and farm it the way I stated. You should be able to get more caps than what you would selling the gold bar out-right - old school. Was doing this shit like 10 years ago. Good vid. Happy holidays.

Get ~80,000 caps by busting out at all the casinos and other methods, go to The Fort, reverse pickpocketing Dale Burton ~40,000 caps, play Caravan with him ~25 times. Could probably be done in under five hours from start of the game.
Just came across this video and channel for the first time, and I subscribed because of 1 thing. The music choice. Man you got classics like dead rising, sleeping dogs, mw2, red dead! So original and well thought out, and of course with this challenge, there’s a clearly noticeable amount of effort and originality. Love the channel and keep up the good work!
First time through NV I did a luck build for the sole purpose of making bank at the casinos. One problem was I didn't know how to play any of the card games so I was stuck with the one armed bandit. Last time I played I knew how to play Blackjack, and I made the same amount of chips in half the time.
At 4:55, the 007 Goldeneye pause music started playing. It just so happens to be my ringtone. I spent about ten seconds staring at my phone waiting for the call screen to appear. I went through 9 stages of panic thinking my phone was busted. So, thanks for that.
Hey Jabo, love your content! And I very much enjoy your challenge videos/speedrun videos of the fallout games. Now I have a request of sort.. well you don't have to attempt it if you don't feel like it. But I feel like it would be fun to watch you struggle and beat another challenge, this is a challenge for Fallout 4 with 14 rules that you must follow. I will list the rules here. 1: Must play on survival difficulty. 2: After you leave the vault, you can ONLY use the weapons you got from the vault for the rest of the game. 10mm pistol, vault suit, baton etc. You are allowed to upgrade the items. 3: Cannot use any companions. And yes dogmeat counts. 4: You must randomize your SPECIAL stats. Distribute randomly! But no stat can exceed 5. 5: Must complete Far Harbor and Nuka World DLC before finishing the main game. 6: Must play in third person mode through the entire challenge. (Not required if you feel like it's too much for you) 7: You are allowed to use drugs and alchohol, BUT you are NOT allowed to get rid of addictions. This means you are not allowed to pick up Party Girl/Boy or Chem Resistant perks, use addictol or visit a doctor to remove the addictions. 8: No bobbleheads or magazines are allowed to be picked up. 9: No use of glitches or bugs for caps, experience or other activities. 10: Must kill 1 Mirelurk Queen, 1 Gatorclaw, 1 Super Mutant Behemoth, 1 Fog Crawler and 1 Hermit Crab 11: Not allowed to use Power Armor. 12: Must see a doctor to remove radiation and to restore limb damage. Or sleep to restore limbs. NO STIMPAKS. ofc you can still use stimpaks for healing but not if you are currently crippled. 13: You are NOT allowed to buy ammo for your 10mm pistol, you can only use what you find. Making the perk Scrounger very useful. (hint) 14: Not allowed to use mods that make the game easier in any way.
I actually have done this one there's a very fun challenge I ended up collecting all the junk in the game and using the The Big empty to convert it all into useful caps
I started watching and subbing ever since the NV speedrun and I love your commentary and pacing of the video Jabo :) it doesn't feel too serious but it doesn't feel like it's a documentary as well and you struck that balance really well Keep up the good work Jabo! And happy holidays
Congrats on the growth of your channel Jabo. It's nice seeing how much it's grown not just in size, but also in quality. Shame you can't grow your beard in similar fashion. Keep up the hard work!
A Joker card in Caravan will remove all numbered cards of its type, except the card it was placed on. So if you place a Joker on an 8, all other 8's on the board will be removed except the 8 you placed the Joker on.
"And onto dead money the best dlc of new vegas" And you my good sir have just earned a subscriber and catapulted yourself to the top three of my favourite Fallout UA-camrs.
i actually found ur channel this year and you became my favorite for fallout videos with paul from mittensquad and oxhorn for his lore vids its gonna be crazy to see how u grow from here
The challenge involves reaching a million caps so having some extra points in speech and barter helps with quest rewards and sell price. Seems like a logical investment to me.
Because there are no charisma stat-checks in the game, and it only locks you out of a few perks which are mostly flavor - so dumping charisma can free up some precious SPECIAL points at very little cost.
I want a follow-up video to all of these millionaire videos (perhaps called the Bankman-Fried special) where you try to go broke as quickly as possible with these characters but 1. you can only empty out a vendor once 2. each quest you complete you can lose double the amount of money that the quest gives you (so if a quest gives 1000 gold/caps/etc you can lose 2000; so on so forth) Or something to that effect; the exact numbers would be easier for you to figure out since you know how long you want to be doing these challenges for :D
In caravan, you play a joker on a number card. If there are other cards on the board with the same number, they are removed. The card with the joker played on it is left alone. Imagine you have one 8 card in your tracks, and your opponent has three 8 cards. If you play a joker on your own 8 card, all your opponent's 8 cards are removed. This can also affect you, though (assuming you have more than one of the cards that you play a joker on) Caravan is fun. I'm having FUN.
Tanning gecko hides is always a better idea than making belts out of them. Only issue is you need horsenettle AND turpentine, because whichever dev wrote the Honest Hearts recipes did not understand that NV recipes don't support either/or components.
just started playing this game a week ago, fallout videos have been popping up in my feed and im glad this one popped up. p.s. this channel grew ALOT in just a span of a year, that is impressive! keep it up!
You can play caravan with legion vendor at the fort. Buy every item he has on sale and play caravan with him. Ten's of thousands of caps, wait/sell everything to vendor at the lonesome road and repeat
Watching Jabo sell items for less than they're worth (like a Gold Bar for 8K because grabbing ammo or weapons to use with Jury Rigging to make other weapons worth WAY more sell for more than you spent) is almost painful.
It gets worse watching the Lonesome Road armor repairing; with a couple of max-condition Pre-War outfits or something like Brahmin-Skin Outfits, you'd get the full value from each instead of wasting thousands of caps by using them to repair themselves.
Honestly didn’t even realize I wasn’t subscribed. Glad you mentioned it😂 love your vids man! The fallout challenge run community was getting a little stale for me before I found you!
One of my favorite ways to make a lot of money is to get high enough reputation with the Legion to trigger the Caesar's Favor quest and get access to the drop boxes. The contents restock on the same cycle as the merchants and enemy respawns, and you can usually get two sets of recon armor in poor condition per trip (and quite a few denarii). If you have the Jury Rigging perk, you can kill a few NCR troopers from stealth and use their armor to repair the recon armor to 100%, which raises their base value to 7,200 caps each.
Anyone who needs a few quick caps read this. Best way to make caps are inc rockets. 1. Buy rockets, flamer fuel and .50 rounds 2. Go to your reloading bench and breakdown the rockets and ammo. 3. Recombine them to make inc rockets. 4. Sell to vendors for profit. I'd recommend the quartermaster at the hooverdam offices. He has tons of rockets and ammo but you have to be liked by the NCR. You can also use the great khan armoury, not as good but will net you 25kish caps.
I’d argue the commissary machines in Lonesome Road are the best vendors. As soon as you drain their last cap you can back out re-enter and the caps are replenished. No waiting.
Ayyyy I love the dead rising 2 plaza music playin when you start describing how the run will work, the music from the games you put always make me feel nostalgia
im glad to see 8 months later you're on the road the 400k subs, i have so many of your videos on a play list for sleeping, starting with the fable 2 millionaire challange, like clockwork im alseep within an hour, keep being you
for those that don't t know what the Joker does in caravan. it removes other number cards besides the card it's placed on. Such as placing a Joker on an 8 removes all other 8s from the field. Placing a Joker on an Ace however removes that SUIT from play. Playing a joker on an Ace of spades removes all other spades from the field, one both yours and your opponents sides
Super heated Saturnite fists sell for a lot from OWB and probably would've carried a large part of the run if you went out of the way to upgrade the toaster and pick up the fists from lobotomites
Fun fact, you can earn an extra like 7000 caps by running over to the roulette table and placing 200 chips on one number. Sometimes it takes forever and sometimes it happens within the first couple of spins. I’ve learned that the chancy seem better when you get the “you’re feeling lucky” note when playing gambling games. I typically only hit it two times then replenish my caps that I lost at the black jack table. Nice way to nearly double the caps that you walk out with
Once I saw the Fallout 4 version of this, I waa WAITING for the vegas or 3 version. THANK YOU. You genuanlly bring me joy. I hope one day I can do the same. I'm trying
You should have tried to also use the “Them’s good eatin” perk as the blood sausage and thin red paste sell for a lot of money which would have helped with selling a little extra with all the things you killed along the way
Should make a Golden Gecko Egg emote for people to spam when you finish these challenges in the future. A little niche reference for the people who know to appreciate the past.
My man really explained caravan in less then two minutes. Jokers remove all the other cards of the same number, except for when they are placed on the ace which removes all of that suit on the board.
glad to be here to witness your growth man. i began my first ever playthrough of fallout4 earlier this year and you were one of the first youtubers i watched for fallout content. love the videos man and i can’t wait for more :D

@@danielkrieger6107 old world blues is the goat, how is it mid?
Crazy that you went past 200k in only 3 days. Can't wait to see where UA-cam takes you! Keep it up man.
The music as you left Sierra Madre, theme song when Ghost and Roach get killed- you can’t do that to me out of no where man
Anyone who needs a few quick caps read this.
Best way to make caps are inc rockets.
1. Buy rockets, flamer fuel and .50 rounds
When jabo uploads it’s always a good time
watching you play this and the game not crashing ever 3 minutes is wild
My favorite part of all of these videos is Jabo getting shot in the intro
I’d argue the commissary machines in Lonesome Road are the best vendors. As soon as you drain their last cap you can back out re-enter and the caps are replenished. No waiting.
Apparently, if you reduce the total they have below 6000, another 6000 will be added to their total as soon as you leave the barter menu.
@@screamingcactus1753 they start out with 6,000 caps reducing to 0 resets it when you exit the menu.
1:00 DR2 FORTUNES DELIGHT 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Congrats on 200,000 subs Jabo!
i subbed to jabo when he had less than 6k subs, its so amazing to see how far he has come and i cant think of anyone else who deserves it more
Farming the Brotherhood definitely beats my money making method of abusing legion ambush locations and selling all their high value weapons.
I wasn’t expecting the bloody Gecko eggs to be the clutch of the run 😂
Ayyyy I love the dead rising 2 plaza music playin when you start describing how the run will work, the music from the games you put always make me feel nostalgia
No one's talking about that edit he made between killing Cook Cook and jumping to killing raiders elsewhere, it looked awesome
Bro had me entranced with that opening 5 seconds, I had to see the rest
im glad to see 8 months later you're on the road the 400k subs, i have so many of your videos on a play list for sleeping, starting with the fable 2 millionaire challange, like clockwork im alseep within an hour, keep being you
happy holidays and congratulations on 200k subs! love your vids Jabo!
Dead money opening to the dark souls theme killed me, perfect edit
for those that don't t know what the Joker does in caravan. it removes other number cards besides the card it's placed on. Such as placing a Joker on an 8 removes all other 8s from the field. Placing a Joker on an Ace however removes that SUIT from play. Playing a joker on an Ace of spades removes all other spades from the field, one both yours and your opponents sides
You forgot about collecting empty bottles, filling them in the Big MT, and then pawning off the purified water for caps.
Nice way to nearly double the caps that you walk out with
damn, this is such a great series
Once I saw the Fallout 4 version of this, I waa WAITING for the vegas or 3 version. THANK YOU. You genuanlly bring me joy. I hope one day I can do the same. I'm trying
the laugh he did while escaping the sierra madre with all that gold was legendary
Love the throwing in of Contingency by the goat Hans Zimmer at the end of the Dead Money clip hahaha
“Gold earned”, nice video btw and congrats on 200k
Idk why, but accumulating caps without spending it is so fun and gives Mr. Krabs vibes
Congratulations on passing 200k subs on Christmas Eve
You should have tried to also use the “Them’s good eatin” perk as the blood sausage and thin red paste sell for a lot of money which would have helped with selling a little extra with all the things you killed along the way
Should make a Golden Gecko Egg emote for people to spam when you finish these challenges in the future. A little niche reference for the people who know to appreciate the past.
Aaaand that's 200k! Congratulations, well deserved!
I feel the strat of looting all the empty bottles you can and fill them up in the sink and sell them would've been a great strat
the amount of effort that goes into your videos and the production value is admirable. Congratulations on 200k, it's just the beginning.
Dead money is indeed the best dlc, but it’s neck and neck with lonesome road in a lot of ways for me. Same goes for the Pitt and operation anchorage
