Yes they played live last year mixed with some really good new material, Pauline looks beautiful still, the energy of the band is amazing over 40 years on. I read her book autobiography called paint in black, it’s a good read if you ever come across it..🫶
cool stuff, love the selecter!! i think that Pauline sings better nowdays, because on the early days, was something more "energetic" and "in your face" but today its more melodic in a way, i love the sound that the achieve on records like "daylight" and "made in britain" my fav ska band ever
they were a 2tone band that mixed reggae and punk, and done covers of old ska chunes, skatalites baba brookes band or busters all stars a;ll take the medals for being the best ska bands as they actually plyed ska
Such a wonderful band.

My old group had the pleasure of touring with and opening for the Selecter in Germany back in 97!
Their first LP was great but the second, Celebrate The Bullet, was really great and highly underrated.
At my opinion, the first one was the best. Not one boring or bad song.I like Too much Pressure more then the first Specials LP.
Celebrate the bullet has always been my fave 🫶
True that!!
I found the studio production of Celebrate the Bullet to be on a whole other level.
I totally agree about that!
This is fantastic. I saw the Selecter in 1980, I’ve never seen a better show.
Najlepszy kawałek 😎 "Robią ze mnie błoto" Czyli wychodzi na to , że zawsze z nas robią błoto. W 2024 też.
Nice to see lots of girls in the audience not wearing bras. Swing out, sister!

Happy 68th birthday to Pauline Black! 🕴🏼
No better SKA band than this.Singer, drums, bass, guitars and keys. The Specials are directly after this.Dont forget "Bodysnatchers" too.😮😮😮
