As someone who loves star wars but doesn't love everything disney has done with it, I liked it, the mystery comes not from the who dun it but from what did the jedi do? They clearly committed some sort or atrocity, did they try to kill Mae? Did they start the fire? I'm curious to see how it unfolds
I feel exactly the same way. Star Wars today has no soul and is just an uninteresting product. It's crazy to have a golden licence and then manage to turn it into shit.
I like how we already know who the killer is. Instead of the show being a who done it it’s now a why done it which is much more interesting since I feel the twin thing was predictable. I’m glad they didn’t drag that part out.
I know I'm beating a dead horse with this argument, but...the prequels, with all their problems.. love them or hate them, felt like star wars. Which if you think about it is *insane* considering it's so different to the aesthetic and time period of the original trilogy. How disney has managed to fail at making decent star wars content (for the most part) and fail to bring that feeling that star wars brings to its fans, whilst also attempting to copy the style, aesthetic or time periods of Lucas's films, goes to show they just didn't quite get it, long story short, they don't have the sauce.
I’m a diehard fan of Star Wars, and I mean that sincerely. I have watched the originals and prequels more times than I can count, watched the entirety of the Clone Wars, played the games, and just studied the lore in general. I love Star Wars. The sequel trilogy was absolutely awful, Mando S1 and S2 were incredible, Boba Fett was meh, Clone Wars S7 was amazing, Kenobi was alright, and I loved Ahsoka (she’s my favorite character), but I don’t get the hate for this show yet. I wasn’t blown away or anything, but I thought the first 2 episodes were pretty solid overall. Good visuals, good fights, decent enough story thus far. I get that it feels different from the usual Star Wars, but I thought that was intentional since it’s set during the High Republic, an era we haven’t seen in film yet. KOTOR had a very distinctive feel compared to the original films as well if you’ve ever played it. Not inherently a bad thing. Maybe I’m just not seeing it yet but I thought The Acolyte was fine so far. Not amazing or anything, but I didn’t think it was bad or awful. Maybe it gets worse I don’t know. I do agree that I’m definitely losing interest with Star Wars since Disney has messed with it so much, and to be honest, I would love it if George never sold it in the first place. Hopefully we can get back to where they are consistently releasing good stuff on Disney +.
Kenobi was such a guaranteed slam dunk show and a few great moments aside, they fumbled it so badly man. That was the final nail for me… Should have been a dramatic character study on Obi Wan and Vader and it was just a cluttered bloated mess. Reva was such a ridiculous addition to that show. I just genuinely believe they’re hiring people that have no idea what this franchise is all about
Disney lost me at "I'm rey skywalker" I like things about the prequels but awful cgi, the rey era ruined lukes story. Force awakens great then downhill. Don't make a rey movie what are you doing? Mandalorian season 1 and 2 great. I enjoyed kenobi but this new stuff has killed the franchise. I'd like to see a solo sequel with darth Maul and his robot legs. Disney has ruined marvel, star wars and all their new movies are live action remakes of their own films. Complete lack of imagination. Off top new new apes movie was awesome so they occasionally get things right.
the mandalorian is the only thing I'm clinging onto, I've watched the other star wars series apart from Andor - doesn't appeal to me obi-wan: snoozefest Book of boba: mandalorian season 2.5 Ahsoka: meh haven't watched anything else films, the Disney trilogy has wasted 7-8 hours of my life, I want them back.......I'll only waste them anyway (Hans moleman reference btw 😂) rogue one is the only Disney related star wars film I've enjoyed
I'll be upfront here...if Disney were to announce that they were no longer going to make anything from the Lucasfilm purchase I'd probably breathe a sigh of relief. I have Andor, Ahsoka, Acolyte, Bad Batch and even the most recent Indiana Jones film on my "list" on D+ but I can't bring myself to watch them. After the abysmal sequel films, BoBF, Mando Season 3 and Kenobi I can't bring myself to watch anything to do with Star Wars again. And as a "treat" my wife wanted to sit and watch Indy with me (from Raiders through to the new one) but when it came time to put DoD on...I asked her not to because I didn't want to risk seeing a character I grew up with, a character that meant so much to me growing up, get treated with the same apparent disrespect of the SW OG. I don't know what it is but "nostalgia" can't bait me into watching any of it, even genuinely revisiting old films I love, because I don't want to get to the point where I have to choose between watching the new entries or not knowing "how the story ends".
A murder mystery where they tell you who the killer is in the first episode, thats just horrific writing. Star Wars is too much quantity over quality, too much focus on woke and diversity, on top of that, misleading advertisement, its similar to TLOU 2 where the trailers made it seem like its going to be another Joel and Ellie adventure, but they killed Joel off way sooner then we thought. I’m glad i skipped out on this show. By the way, how can a small knife kill someone but in Ahsoka where people got stabbed by light sabers and be just fine, it’s just very inconsistent.
I’ve enjoyed Asoka a lot, Mandalorian was pretty good except the last season. I really didn’t have a problem with Kenobi overall. But it’s mostly because Filoni( sp) was over those shoes. This reeks of Kennedy.
I thought this show was horrendous but I absolutely loved every minute of Andor. I would love to see a video of your thoughts on it because (for me at least) Andor is one of the best Star Wars projects and it does a great job of respecting and utilizing the established universe to tell a compelling story with very interesting characters
My opinion on newer star wars content it can stay in a galaxy far far away. Id rather binge scifi shows like stargate , farscape and the like rather than be partaking of stale memberberries 😂
Watch Andor already 🙃 it's a crime drama that just happens to be set in the same world as Star Wars. There's no dumb monologs or people making stupid poses before they fight.
Yeah, exactly! It's not a murder mystery; the mystery is what happened on that day that Osha and Mae were separated and what's going on with the Sith. Even in episode 3, we still don't have the full story (by a longshot), we only get Osha's perspective, and that's it.
I watched 20 minutes of the first episode and decided that Disney, Kathleen Kennedy and the despicable "actors" are just checking boxes and not making a real story. The real enemies are the white Jedi?!? Seriously?!? Oh yeah, the fans are the bad guys, too. Thank God Kathleen Kennedy was an absolute nobody on making Back to the Future. I can't even imagine how the hell she would make that woke. Oh yeah, I guess R2-D2 has been a lesbian all along. LOL
We’ve slowly been shifting away from starwars. I’m tired of the cyber punk look everything is taking. It’s fully lost its charm and that’s why (like you) after mandalorian season 3 I haven’t watched anything
Well it looks like I will again not be renewing my Disney + subscription from 2021. I really wish one day a show would be so good I have to re subscribe to Disney+. ( I bootlegged X-men 97 because I was hesitant )
Plot, 4 Jedi's did a bad thing making Jedi looks bad and Jedi order cover it up (deep state), end of the season, we got some gay love, Jedi's look worse then the Empire. calling it.
the normal people are starting to wakeup to what's happening in Hollywood.. notice how everything seems a bit more catering to a specific group as opposed to everyone
I skipped andor, I skipped ahsoka, I skipped this, I hated kenobi, I hated book of boba, hated most of mando seasons 2 and 3. I have been completely filtered out by disney starwars. Mando season 1 and season 7 of clone wars were flukes. On the whole they are unable to do this franchise justice
People feel bad for Torbin being given that Discord Moderator hairline and beard. Am I the only one who feels worse for him for the Fortnite Kid Broccoli Cut he has in the flashback? On God, he bussin.
Loved Ahsoka Enjoyed Kenobi Andor was mostly forgettable to me I don't see anything to actively hate with the Acolyte yet. It's only been 2 episodes 😂 Once the season is finished, sure any criticism is fair game. For now, I'm waiting to see how everything unfolds. I have a feeling many of the nitpicks people have, will shift and things will obviously get answered. The fake beard is really bad, but so was the one in Return of the Jedi 😅
Wow....just WOW. You couldn't even sat anything about SPOILERS? I haven't seen either of the episodes yet and you managed to spoil the first 10 minutes for me by giving away Carrie Ann's character outcome.
As a die hard OT star wars fan. I've given up on modern SW
As someone who loves star wars but doesn't love everything disney has done with it, I liked it, the mystery comes not from the who dun it but from what did the jedi do? They clearly committed some sort or atrocity, did they try to kill Mae? Did they start the fire? I'm curious to see how it unfolds

Ryan kinel was great in the show I was shocked tbh.
Lmao 💀
Apparently ep 3 is going to the final straw!
I like how we already know who the killer is. Instead of the show being a who done it it’s now a why done it which is much more interesting since I feel the twin thing was predictable. I’m glad they didn’t drag that part out.
This show is such a freaking train wreck
Man, I just want Andor Season 2
yeah that beard was horrendous
The magic is gone.
I know I'm beating a dead horse with this argument, but...the prequels, with all their problems.. love them or hate them, felt like star wars. We need a judge dredd series .. but well done 😁👍
I could not agree more. I went back to the "extended" universe. The Star Wars West End Games universe is my Star Wars.
Ahsoka was extremely boring
I’m a diehard fan of Star Wars, and I mean that sincerely. I have watched the originals and prequels more times than I can count, watched the entirety of the Clone Wars, played the games, and just studied the lore in general. I love Star Wars. rogue one is the only Disney related star wars film I've enjoyed
As someone who hasn't cared for any of the Star Wars shows following Mando Season 2, Andor is great and totally worth a watch

Chris, I felt the same way about Andor but it was honestly great! Please check it out and give it time to unravel
About Andor, the show is a very slow burn... it picks up after episode 6 then the show is awesome
I promise Andor will not let you down, it's a good slow burn with peak writing for current SW. Not hollow at all.
My opinion on newer star wars content it can stay in a galaxy far far away. Id rather binge scifi shows like stargate , farscape and the like rather than be partaking of stale memberberries 😂
Star Wars is seriously so awful. I know it’s aimed at the young Disney children but yikes 😬
Watch Andor already 🙃 it's a crime drama that just happens to be set in the same world as Star Wars. There's no dumb monologs or people making stupid poses before they fight.
I've been saying for a while with all the overload of Star Wars content that someone just needs to make a parody called, "Excessive Force!".
Yeah man, go watch Andor! It's worth it. Slow burn but well written and good story.
Definitely watch Andor bro. It is, not even a breath of fresh air, but a hurricane of fresh air.
I don't get it. I've thoroughly enjoyed it so far.
Andor is fantastic. The writing on that show is top notch.
Only the O.G Star Wars does matter at this point!
I kinda like this show tbh - lee Jeong-jae is so cool
100% facts....they kiIIed the entire IP.
I like The Acolyte. Love the mystery aspect, acting and pacing. It's the most fun I've had with any of the Star Wars series fresh out the gate.
Yeah, exactly! It's not a murder mystery; the mystery is what happened on that day that Osha and Mae were separated and what's going on with the Sith. Even in episode 3, we still don't have the full story (by a longshot), we only get Osha's perspective, and that's it.
Andor is one of the only good things about Disney Star Wars.
1st two seasons of Mando were great IMO
Agreed
Woke will eat itself.
When I first saw that beard Jedi I thought that was a woman dressed as a man. I thought it was going to be a big reveal later.
Totally agree
Well said 👏👏
I watched 20 minutes of the first episode and decided that Disney, Kathleen Kennedy and the despicable "actors" are just checking boxes and not making a real story. Yup😅
Andor was amazing! I really liked Rogue One, and seeing this series really gave a good back story to a character I wanted to see more of.
This show is just boring. Trinity dying by a small knife was dumb. The fire in space was also ridiculous.
You mean like the original trilogy had?
So is Disney gonna address one punch man crossing over with shrek in star "wars."
Andor is goated
I skipped andor, I skipped ahsoka, I skipped this, I hated kenobi, I hated book of boba, hated most of mando seasons 2 and 3. I have been completely filtered out by disney starwars. Mando season 1 and season 7 of clone wars were flukes. On the whole they are unable to do this franchise justice
lots of L's in this video Chris, lots of L's
this show is just checking off DEI boxes while side lining white men to cameos. and one of them killed himself lmao.
People feel bad for Torbin being given that Discord Moderator hairline and beard. Am I the only one who feels worse for him for the Fortnite Kid Broccoli Cut he has in the flashback? On God, he bussin.
Loved Ahsoka
Enjoyed Kenobi
Andor was mostly forgettable to me
I don't see anything to actively hate with the Acolyte yet.
When fan films on UA-cam are more compelling and lore accurate than the current slate of "official" offerings from Lucasfilm, it's a damn shame.
Very diplomatic...they don't deserve it tho
Wow....just WOW. You couldn't even sat anything about SPOILERS? I haven't seen either of the episodes yet and you managed to spoil the first 10 minutes for me by giving away Carrie Ann's character outcome.
I’m so confused why people are hating on this show??
Wait keep watching
@@mercury13 you seen the whole show? Lol
