- Опубліковано 24 вер 2024
- This is the time trial bike of Jumbo-Visma superstar and Tokyo 2020 Olympic gold medallist Primož Roglič. Ollie takes a close look at the Slovenian’s gold Cervélo P5. With three time trials on the menu at this year’s Giro d’Italia, success against the clock is key if Roglič is to claim overall victory and take home the iconic maglia rosa.

Is Roglič’s Cervélo P5 the hottest TT bike in the pro peloton? 🔥
Nope, Remco's way better
Yes
EF bikes are better
but stil one of the hottest
Pinarello Bolide is most shape sexy bike😎
I don't know how you resisted the urge to run your hand over the paint. 11/10 for self control. 🙂
You didn't see what he got up to off-camera 👀
Ollie that "rubber section" between the fork and the frame is a Fork Rotation Stop that is present on all Cervélo P5D bikes
Absolute beauty.
Love a good TT bike check! If Giant doesn’t refresh the Trinity soon to replace my 2020 bike, I may be looking at one of these Cervelo’s, sharp bike!
I swapped from a Trinity to a P5. I loved the Trinity but don’t regret it at all.
@@mattb106 I love the Trinity too, but I really am going to need disc brakes when I am ready to upgrade wheels next
The trinity is still absolutely in line with the best out there in performance
@@invisiblescout6335 0% disagree
Lovely to see he has a old fashioned Garmin, just like mine😆😆😆
Yep, for a short TT, you don’t need a whole lot of data fields, navigation, climb alerts, etc. A basic GPS delivers all the functionality required, so why go large?
Actually it's a new Garmin, model 130+ ... It's just that PRO riders will not want to carry that huge 1040 units...
actually, Garmin could create a super slim version for TTs, without navigation and other redundant stuff, about 2 hours of battery life should be enough... But the company is ridiculously slow for innovations.
Something about the world is right when he finds a song about a gorgeous bike to sing. Thanks, Dr. Bling. 😀
I've raced against the owner of wolf tooth several times. Really cool and fast guy. Crazy to see their products being used at the highest level.
Unfortunate that it didn’t work 🙈
Love how stunning this bike is in its simplicity. It isn't trying to add a massive derailleur hangar or crazy water bottle aero foilings to it. The added benefit is the front cockpit looks sleek with everything tucked in.
Wahoo speedplay aero pedals? Are they doing that just for the gains there? Because I don't recall them being listed as a partner for them and I know Dan said that is the best pedal aerodynamically.
From this season onwards wahoo speedplay is their official supplier! Although not all riders are using is yet.
That is nice...love the detail such as the rings and paint job.
gold chain for a Gorgeous bike
I wish that fizik saddle was available. I've always needed a saddle with a channel and a wide front like that on a tt bike but there a8nt many on the market
I’ve noticed it before, but are these round spokes in the front wheel? I always thought aero spokes are faster.
Such deep wheels rarely have bladed spokes, I've noticed. Maybe they are less relevant aerodynamically when paired with, in this case, a 77mm rim.
@@GeorgeD1 I've never seen deep wheels that aren't cheap junk that have round spokes. These are definitely aero spokes
@@veganpotterthevegan At a closer look, yes, you are correct. They are aero. 👍
I think the chain catcher can be much more aero because the arm, the bent structure, could be twisted 90 degrees. Currently the large side of its section faces the airflow.
I was thinking where can I get one from, doesn't look off the shelf component to me
Did you get a picture for the bike vault?
Ollie loves the "glittery shiny parts"
Not allowed to touch it?! Someone’s being a bit overly precious.
I ❤ it ..thx ..
Lovely bike.
It's a beauty isn't it!
please do the Jumbo Visma bus tour
Hopefully!
The gap between the rear tire and the cutout in the seat tube is surprisingly large to me.
It’s the paint job 🤣
What's the bottom bracket? It is a crucial component that is usually not talked about.
Don't the wireless shifters need road-STIs, vuca shift bars, or a blip box to work?
Why aren't you allowed to measure it? I'm trying to see if the saddle is right up to the BB or a little behind it, I'm always curious about what people do, not because I'm going to go try it out, I'm just curiuos.
Wow
Valves not aligned, not biggie-smalls. Nice.
That paint makes me weak kneed!
Dear Olli, the 25 mm Corsa speed comes inflated at 27mm. Thats almost 28mm 😉
depends on the rim width!
@@GCNuser123 thats true. But never seen the corsa at 25 mm
170mm cranks and a nice square on picture of the bike... if you really wanted to you could scale most of the measurements! 😂
What model Garmin is it?
edge 130
DB TT haters just have never done a technical TT.. pretty simple. You are going to save time with DB
This bike was really easy to assemble ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.
Like a child in the candy shop that was told not to touch anything.
well ollie it's not bad but it's still not as cool as my custom time trial bike. again ollie if you ever make it to arizona i would be proud to let you personally ride mine.
Can't touch it??? WTH, it is only a bicycle.
no, your bicycle is only a bicycle - lol
Valves weren't aligned.
Wouldn't a bike with no paint be faster but not as saleable ?
A good looking bike is mentally faster. Although Jumbo Visma should really have painted it red in that case ….
I bet it’s heavy
I guess its ok for flat tt no climbing needed
It's 8.2 kg
cant even beat remco with covid on that thing
Narrow wide chainring?no need for chain catcher then!is it because of SRAM flat top chain?
"Crapvelo" - Hambini.

In the sun you can see fingerprints. Could have wiped it before filming it.
they weren't allowed to touch it, what do you suggest? you'd complain about seeing an arseprint on the saddle.
Hey Ollie, you had restrictions from the Team's authority. You couldn't bend the rules, but YOU could've bent AROUND the rules --->> at least an AI assisted Soundcheck!
I always cringe when I see disc brakes on a tt bike
Hydro disc brakes on a TT bike! You can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig 😂😂😂
so you can put disc brakes on a TT bike, but it's still a TT bike?
@@ericlange1524 I guess he's trying to hate on disc brakes but is not completely sure what his arguments are... Don't feed the troll haha
@@GeorgeD1 I don't hate disc brakes per se, I just don't think that they are appropriate for road bikes in most situations, and their use on TT bikes is absurd. Don't believe me, just ask Froomey!
@@ericlange1524 Or rather you can put a bling paint job on a TT bike with disc brakes, but it's still a TT bike with disc brakes.
@@ShawnStradamus520 so, TT bikes were always notoriously worse in the braking department than the normal road bike and are harder to control, and you’re shitting on this one because it has disc brakes which are better than all the hidden callipers of yesteryear… 🤦🏻
If you’re not going to touch it, I’m not going to tap ‘like’ and I’m not watching the rest of the video. Anyway, it’s hideous.
