    High again! Want to thank you guys so much! I have been growing indoors for a couple of years now and has been just kind of ok. The grow I have now I am using your tips and tricks and I have the most beautiful grow I have ever had. I run 18/6, anything less they didn't ripen as well. I defoliated and lolipoped. I am using a scrog net to spread out the branches and the plants have so many bud sites at the top. I have trimmed the others off. Harvest in 5 weeks and cant wait to see all the beautiful flower. Thanks again for all your tips.

    My autos share space with photoperiod plants in veg. The Grower´s Choice ROI- E420 is at 75% for 18 hours. It adjusts in 25% increments. Probably 750 ppfd at 12-13". Younger plants may be further from the light while autos are loving that intensity flowering.

  • @GrowDaddyTV
    @GrowDaddyTV Рік тому +1

    Love your tents of auto flowers. Most people don't understand that autos don't require the same light intensity as Photoperiods because the lights are on longer raising the DLI. Do you guys use a par meter and know what DLI you run at in different stages?... Awesome channel... We love you guys💚💚💚💚💚

  • @UbiquitousRomp
    @UbiquitousRomp Рік тому +5

    I like 24hr light, I can hit 56 DLI on 3/4 power and I don't have to worry about big humidity spikes at lights out. I can feed at any time and my plants love it

    • @swankshire6939
      @swankshire6939 Рік тому +1

      Plants do things during the night. I'd recommend trying giving them at least 4 hours of light as you might get more terps, thc or yield. Might not matter for your strains tho

    • @UbiquitousRomp
      @UbiquitousRomp Рік тому +6

      @@swankshire6939 That's actually not true. Plants produce terpenes at lights out in lower temperature climates, Lights out in warmer climates doesn't produce the extra turps. It's the reduction in temps that shock the plant into producing them. Not the lack of light..
      However lowering the temperature at the correct time later in flower, preserves the Terps. So 18/6 for a couple of weeks, once I see trichomes appearing.. At the end is worth considering as changing the light schedule doesn't effect auto's,
      In fact, thats what I'm going to try on this run. So thanks for your input.
      So I'll stick with 24/0 for max growth, until after stretching period, and go 18.6, for the last 2 / 3 weeks or when the fist trichomes appear.

I use advance nutrients. Now decided go back to soil and indoors with autos. I used promix and mixed in some pest miss base medium which also is hp. First time trying this style medium. Hoping to hardly have to use nutrients. Growing a couple og x pink lush big cut back from last summer 40 outdoor plants lol. I am medical haha. Grew my limit and that was way to much to trim haha. See how this goes. Oh yeah 18-6 world great for autos, Sean's as you said increasing light doesn't pay off in yield really. Maybe if your getting into a sealed room with co2 then you would probably see real better results. Love videos keep them coming

    I have run 24/0 for a couple of runs and the trichomes never ambered up, despite going long. During summer, I run lights at night and have darkness during afternoon to control temperatures, so that is a 17/7 to 18/6 system depending on how hot it is outside. July/August afternoon temps over 100 every day, so have to be careful not to spike temps.

    Thank you for the amazing content. 2nd post. 1st time indoor grower. I got some Autos to try. my seedlings look so small on morning 4 after gemination. so is it possible to crank up the lights up to 2500 ppfd if you have 1000 to 2000 ppm co2. If so what is the DLI max for cannabis? We know 60 is average hot sunny day. what is the max DLI. I am running 18/6. staying 12" above canopy and 30 percent power. 190/290 PPFD. and help will eventually be shared back to this amazing community. That is soon as I have become educated on the indoor grow. I keep want to see my girls. Thanks to you guyz and to the plant that has saved my life!

    Autos would be good to mix with regular photos that are run 24hrs. Some easily missed advantages to autos is they will not herm if the light schedule changes, you have to do work in the tent or if you were an outdoor grower in the city. City lights will herm a photo. I think it is weird pricing is typically the same photos vs auto. (Advice from a "friend").

I'd cover up the light with tape but its on the inside of fan housing sooo....

    My question is this, how do you determine what is day one? Germination (including in water), or the first codelyon leaves or the first finger leaves,?
    This is something I need to know so that I'm on the right schedule when it comes to seedlings, vegetative state, pre flower and flowering

      Really hard to say because lights these days vary so much, your best bet is to check your lights manual for recommendations and use that as a jumping off point. Stretching to much as a seeding? Move your light down or increase the brightness. Tacoing or curling leaves raise the light or lower the output. Or if you wanna get exact get a pulse pro or apogee par meter and measure your par/ppfd so you know exactly how much energy you are putting down on your canopy.

    I've tried all of the common light schedules and I have found that they all produce roughly the same yield if you maintain 40 dli (the best growth range so far imo for autos) without co2. With c02 20/4 at 60 DLI between 800-850 ppfd at the canopy and around 900 ppm c02 seemed to be the sweet spot for cost vs benefit as far as yield.
    I've also noticed that autos seem to like more far red and red in the spectrum.
    This all said I personally run 18/6 at between 600-630 ppfd at the canopy because I see a greater benefit to health and terpenes growing organically. I've compared it to running 20/4 at 550-600 ppfd maintained at the canopy and noticed even maintaining around that 40 DLI mark that my plants were looking hungry and getting deficiencies. A little bit of soil testing later (right before lights out and directly at lights on with both schedules) and it seems that the extra 2 hours of darkness allowing autos to exudate and attract more microbes increases the soluble nutrient levels in the soil (yay microbiology!).
    So there's my 18/6 40 dli spiel for growers that don't want to worry about c02 and want to run organic. Lol

    • @UbiquitousRomp
      @UbiquitousRomp Рік тому +1

      That was interesting post. MD B, I run 24/0 As it colder here, so I avoid humidity spikes and keep things warm. I run CO2 so I want hotter at 82f instead of the 76 sweet spot for non CO2.
      I find coco perfect for that, As I control the daily feeds and EC level, which can be as high at 2l per day (16L pots) at 1900PPM in weeks 5 6 and .7. I bottom feed at that point, so they drink what they need.
      Currently looking at organic nutes for coco, which are looking good these days, But have my doubts they will work in the shorter Auto's time frame, due to not having the activation time for all those microbes and enzymes to do their thing.
      So I run A+B and lots of other products with said organisms to create a healthy coco substrate.

    • @mdbuds277
      @mdbuds277 Рік тому

      @@UbiquitousRomp there's a good organic soluble line out now that would work great with coco.
      It's called organics alive. It's a powdered soluble hydrolyzed by microbes. It's great stuff and used along with some soluble BCAA or pure hydrolyzed protein you can get massive organic yields.

    • @UbiquitousRomp
      @UbiquitousRomp Рік тому

      @@mdbuds277 But would it activate adequately in the shorter 8 - 10 week autos cycle. My buddy is currently trying out a bottle range of organics in coco, doing a side by side with canna range on two strawberry banana autoflowers. The organic is definitely lagging behind, and he buffered the coco with a quarter strength mix, a week in advance to get things going with a 5l run off....at least that was the theory I suggested, but I may have been talking bollox, as It's not something I know a great deal about.
      So although I know I'll get the best flavours from organics. I can't quite find the right mix of organics in coco, that will activate fast enough for an autos grow. In fact, the only thing attracting me to photos, is the organic side of growing in coco.
