Doesn't matter, blown out of proportion by keyboard warriors like you. I work in IT, so obviously not only I am, but also am surrounded by experienced professionals in the field, and you never see anyone giving that many worry about esd, nor have I seen or heard of related failures. Some equipment is more prone to it, and there are still general things to not do (like workin on carpet or something) but for consumer electronics like these, especially a dme that is made for a though environment, no particular caution is needed. LTT made a video with electroboom testing what it takes to destroy a desktop computer with ESD. You'll be surprised.
Careful. Never touch a chip's connectors and always ground yourself before touching either the module or chip. Touch a water pipe will discharge any static electricity. Also static builds the most in cold dry air.
🧢 I work in IT and therefore used to work around chips and I'm qualified for it and I can tell you that whole static electricity is mostly bullshit and blown out of proportion. I obviously work in the industry amongst many other professionals and I've never encountered any of them that actually gave two thoughts about static electricity, and none of them ever had related failures either.
Hey so im just a little confused, with the pop bang tune the reason your removing cats is because it causes to much back pressure? Or is it just purely for the sound? I eventually want to chip my 92 325is and this video has definitely helped alot except fory question, thanks in advance 🤘
Pops means more fuel in decel and part of it combusting inside of the exhaust while the valves are still open. Meaning higher exhaust temps, you'll destroy the cats, either they break in pieces or they melt.
Can I get a chip without the burble? I just want the higher rev limit and a little bit more power. A pop and bang or two is fine sometimes but I don’t want any burble tune! Any brand would be fine but I have no idea?
I would definitely recommend calling the company that your going to get the tune from just in case. Everything that I did in this video was specific for this tune 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
not really. despite being able to rev higher, I don't normally need to take it all the way up there to break the tires loose how I want on a drift. but its a possibility, at you own risk. For what I'll be using it it will only be occasionally if needed.
Yup still do 🙌🏽 i’m going to do a update video soon the car currently looks different now i’m also on IG you’re welcome to follow me there and see current updates😎
No grounding strap. Yanked up from one side instead of using 2 picks one on each side and lifting evenly. Fook it 😂 sent ! 5:04
Fook it! Lol
Love the video man gonna be using this as a reference when I tune mine!
Thank you I’m glad you liked it 🙌🏽
thumbs up from a ferrari driver, sweet
As someone with a certificate in esd this video is a good example of what not to do.

Yes they actually can do that for you. Hit them up. I'm not sponsored by them but hey are a pretty cool company.
Be careful if you have a non stock engine the burble will act as a rev limiter at 4-5500rmps
How do they tune these chips? Does anyone know?
Nice job 👍. What kind of Borla exhaust is it? Thanks
Thanks. I don't remember what model the Borla is. Lol.
Will the tune work with the cats just no burbles right? Bc I live in Cali plan on keeping the cats on till I move out of state

It works on auto ?
Honestly I’m not sure but I would recommend asking the provider 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Where you bought the rear lights
You know, they actually came with the car when I first bought it. :)
You said the tune would give you higher rpm are you not worried about valve float
not really. despite being able to rev higher, I don't normally need to take it all the way up there to break the tires loose how I want on a drift. but its a possibility, at you own risk. For what I'll be using it it will only be occasionally if needed.
@@cris_motorfide1857 I guess itd help get higher into the next gear I'd probably just start it out a gear high and shift down into a slide
Just got the same tune can i install chip without the o2 senors i will be putting it on soon as its required
I would definitely message RK TUNES And ask, they are really cool about answering phone calls I have my O2 sensor on with my tune 👍🏽
Does turning on the ac make the pops less extreme?
Honestly Not sure , unfortunately I don’t have a/c on my car I wouldn’t be able to tell you if it makes a difference Or not 🤷🏽
my car it does that w my exhaust
What rpm’s does the “ burbles “ go off ?
It start around 4300 rpm an up.
what engine?
stock 2.5L
i just got the chip i feel like it doesnt pop as much as yours
Really 🤔 . And your obd 1?
And your obd 1 ?
do i need to change the chip, or can i just change the map with the pc?
Not sure what year you have but mine, I had to do the chip. But I recommend asking the provide of your tune and follow their guidelines.
Why did you cut the green wire?
Car would not run so I did as mentioned on instructions for this product 👍🏽
Bypassing the ews1 signal the car needs to start.
Love it
Do you still have the chip?
Yup still do 🙌🏽 i’m going to do a update video soon the car currently looks different now i’m also on IG you’re welcome to follow me there and see current updates😎
@@cris_motorfide1857 is the chip worth getting
