At the time I saw this movie, it was in theaters with my siblings per our tradition that as we got older and could drive ourselves to the movies, we'd go every year to see whatever Pixar came out with. I wasn't expecting this to be such an emotional hit. Just that year, my grandmother had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and the final scene pretty much broke me while I was there. Easily one of my favorites from Pixar.
That's so sad, this movie made me cry so much and I've only experienced a little bit of a family member having Alzheimer's. It's too sad but this movie & it celebrating life it's a reminder to keep them in your hearts always!
the scene at the end where Mama Coco basically wakes up with the song is a real phenomenon. It's not yet explained why, but there are many possibilities, but some people in a state like her may "wake up" when hearing some music from their past, they can speak normally and respond to questions for a few minutes before reverting to the state they were before.
Fun Fact: The woman who inspired Mama Coco was from Michoacan. She passed away last year at the age of 109 and her name was María Salud Ramírez. Google it.
From a cultural standpoint, Coco means the world to me. The sheer respect for Mexican culture in this movie is just incredible. The music, the food & the preparations for The Day Of The Dead. The culture itself is part of who I am and it's very important, as is the message of the importance of family. Also, the customs agent in The Land Of The Dead was portrayed by funnyman Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias.

If you watched this movie without tears, you're not human. This movie came out during a really bad time in my life as my great grandmother was unfortunately lying on her deathbed. I spoke with her while she was still somewhat cohessive and she told me she wanted to watch it with me. But once we finally got the chance she was unfortunately mentally distant from everyone, not remembering us, and at times hallucinating. I couldnt even watch the film until years after her passing. So on top of it hitting close to home, it hits an even more sensitve emotion just due to my experience getting to see it the first time.
12:00 “El Santo” (aka The Silver Masked) was one of the most famous Mexican wrestlers of all time. His wrestling career spanned nearly five decades, and he is also known for starring in films and a comic-books series that ran for more than 30 years. Lovely reaction
I mean this in the most sincere way. You remind me of my Grandma and sitting with you watching movies brings back alot of great memories of her. Thanks for sharing yourself with us❤
When I first saw this in theatres, I was about 15-16, I saw it with a good friend at the time. I left that theatre crying, as it reminded me a lot of my great grandma who died of Alzheimer's, and my (grand)Pa who was going through vascular dementia at the time who I was helping care for. She didn't understand why I was crying and thought it was kind of weird that I'd cry at a movie, but I didn't care. I haven't watched it since then, even though I own it on dvd. I cried again during this. I wonder if I can convince my parents and sister to watch it tonight. Probably gonna cause us to ball our eyes out, now that my Pa has been gone 2 and a bit years now. But cryings good sometimes. Whew. Have a nice day anyone reading this.
My favorite animated movie. I've watched it so many times. It's so emotional but at least in a satisfying way at the end. I usually start crying around Miguel being thrown into the sinkhole and I don't stop crying much until it's over. Even at small parts. The part that gets me the absolute MOST is the end when Miguel is singing and it shows skeleton Mama Coco with her arm around her living daughter, leaning her head on Elena's shoulder. The way Elena treats Mama Coco throughout the movie, shows how much she really adores her mother. The very few scenes that those 2 have together makes me miss my own mom. She was my best friend. As tough as abuelita is for her family, I adore the way she treats her mom. I bet they were best friends also.
I love her sensitivity. She is so pure and so sensitive that she touches my soul. Thank you very much for sharing your feelings.. with love from México.

It is a pleasure and a pain at the same time watching this movie. My great grandma passed away two months after this movie came out, and this movie reminds me about her all the time. As a Latino, I must said this movie encapsulated very well our family and relatives relationships.
My grandpa died on sunday and my poor poor grandmother with advanced alzheimers asked my mom yesterday "y adonde se fue el viejo?" where did the old guy go. I freaking died watching this reaction and ive never seen this movie.

My grandmother was a quiet, humble woman. But she taught me so many things, and I loved her dearly. It took a long time for dementia to take her, she was so very small but tough as nails. It claimed her memories, it changed her personality, and it destroyed my grandfather to watch the woman he loved for over 60 years lose herself. Just before she passed, we gathered as a family beside her and sang some hymns together, a selection of her favorites. And Grandma sang along. Every. Single. Word. She remembered them all, like the music kept a part of her mind open even though all others had long since closed. So when I tell you that this movie turned me into a sobbing shell of a man in the theater COMPLETELY unexpectedly... I'll treasure this film forever.
to me it shows a lot of detail in emotional nuance of how generational trauma is very impactful, that imelda does not forgive hector immediately once hearing that he was poisoned while trying to come back to her, because she does have a valid point. he still left her in the first place, even if he ended up regretting it. for her, she lived her entire life feeling that he'd left her and their daughter without a care in the world, and even believed it long after she died. I think its very realistic that it would take time to process that the way she's been feeling up until now, while understandable, is no longer serving her in the new but current reality where she has a chance to really get his side of what went down and maybe release these feelings of resentment she's rightfully had for decades. most people would still have emotional processing to do, and questions they've likely had for a long time they'd want answered before truly forgiving him.
Wow! What a beautiful and heartfelt reaction to this movie that so touchingly brings to the world á tradition that predates Columbus and that illustrates the importance of family and the ties we have to each other and to our dear departed ones! The tears that you felt were from your heart and you really understood this “ Dia de Muertos “. I too she’d a few tears! Gracias and Remember Me!
This is one of those movies that gets me every time. Even just watching it as a reaction, I can't help but tear up! So glad you got to enjoy this one, and so glad to have found you as a reactor through it! I'll see you as your journey continues!
I'm pretty sure that Ernesto, and everyone around him, was surprised by Miguel's announcement that he was the musician's great-great grandson, because DelaCruz only cared about himself, and never even had a wife, so descendants were impossible.
What a beautiful film, no one has moved me so much. I felt that mixture of happiness and sadness when I saw it and now again with your reaction. A hug from Spain 🇪🇸🍋
I think it was a Disney comic or short book about Coco that said she didn't approve of her mother, Imelda's, ban on music. She secretly loved music just like her father did. She even danced and snuck out to hear the plaza musicians. After she married and had children Coco suffered an injury while dancing and she saw how worried her daughters were for her. After that she stopped and didn't say anything about the music ban of her mother and children.
I’m so happy you enjoyed this movie, Latin culture holds family very tightly. That also comes with the pain of loosing more people. But those who are remembered never die
Ernesto De La Cruz sang Remember Me fast paced, he didn't know the true meaning as deep as Hector which he sang with his heart and slow for his daughter Coco
i dont really remember what i was watching here on youtube until i just see your thumb in recommends, but now i'm subscribing, liking and crying while watching bcs coco is suck a perfect movie, i'm not easy to cry but this movie.... it hits so hard in my heart
I just found your channel a few hours ago and I'm so happy I did. Your reactions are so sweet and genuine, and I've really been enjoying watching them. Thank you! :)
Even if Ernesto gave Miguel his blessing, it wouldn’t have worked cuz they’re not family. He was willing to do it (before Miguel found out his secret) cuz they both thought they were related. Someone pointed out when Imelda is giving Miguel her blessing, the petal lit up, meaning the magic was working. But when Ernesto gives Miguel his blessing, the petal doesn’t light up. If he hadn’t been interrupted, they would’ve realized that they weren’t related because it wouldn’t have worked
You're so cute, so adorable! I've loved your reaction and sweet way of speaking. I'd love to see you reacting to Grave of the Fireflies (1988) from Studio Ghibli!
I am of Puerto Rican descent. When I saw Coco for the 1st time, I cried so hard. Mexico's cultures are so beautiful and this was shown so beautifully and lovingly. I cry every time I watch it now, it's one of my favorite Pixar movies. And when I go to Disney World now, I always stop by Mexico and appreciate it. I know Columbia was already represented, but I can't wait to see the day they represent Puerto Rico. I know it will be so beautifully done like Coco.
i remember i saw this movie with my family thinking it was another silly pixar movie and at the end we turned to see each other ALL crying! beautiful movie!!
Very nice reaction to one of the best movies that is one of my favorites and I also cried when I watched it. I loved your reaction to a movie that shows something of what our Mexican culture is and I also cried again with you when remembering such a beautiful movie
First time watching your videos. You brought me back to that moment I watched Coco for the first time with tears in my eyes. One of the greatest animations ever. Thanks for sharing. 🎉
I have watched only one video of you and I'm in love!!! Your reactions are so adorable and authentic. One movie recommendation would be The Neverending Story that was made back in 1984. It's a lovely kids fantasy movie, a bit dark, but it has an important message. It radiates the 80s energy a lot but it's still timeless. I personally love 80s movies.
Adding if you have already seen the movie, I'd be very glad you'd have, that movie is one of the coolest movies ever and it captures the feeling of the inner child waking up.
Its a very hard scene, if you lived with and enjoyed an abuelita, and it's no more with you, it'll make you cry like a cascade, I miss mine, and hope his well where ever she is
Wonderful video, madame 🥹💖 I can feel your kind heart and gentle soul - thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with us. 🙏💖 You are wonderful 🌷🌸🌹🌺🌻🌼🪷
This movie is so meaningful in so many levels in a human and Mexican way. It's also a metaphor for all those hard working men that cross the border to earn enough money for their families. Many times to save their kids from poverty and starvation, and some times they can never go back to them. 😭 It's a common wound in Mexico to have grown without a father. Many Mexican moms have to build the kind of character Mama Imelda had to have to get the courage to support and lead a family alone. We love our strong matriarchs that become the pillar of our lives. But I think that also causes the men in the family to feel left out or insufficient, playing a secondary role in family life. And that's reflected here so well. And I applaud they gave a voice to Hector and Miguel to earn their share of love and respect. So this wonderful movie practically obliterated most of us (Mexicans) because understands deep rooted wounds. I've never heard an audience practically wailing in sorrow at a movie theatre the way we did with Coco. But those were healing tears. The love, appraisal and understanding of the Mexican culture in this movie is something I will always be inmensely thankful to Pixar, Lee Unrich, and everyone involved in it's creation. It is truly a love letter for us.
Ladies and gentlemen it has been a pleasure crying with you.

Oh my goodness I just found your channel and I’m subscribing. You are so genuine and we need more reactors like you ❤

Loving the reactions ❤. Thank you😊
I’m so happy you enjoyed this movie, Latin culture holds family very tightly. That also comes with the pain of loosing more people. But those who are remembered never die
Loved this reaction! I cried like a baby too :( I'm so glad it had a happy ending.
Thank you! Yes, I was so happy with the twist in this story and the ending! So touching! 🥲
I learned so much from watching this movie, and have a much deeper apreciation of day of the dead.
I’ve watched coco many many times and always cry and cried with you again. I loved your reaction btw.
Thank you!
Ernesto De La Cruz sang Remember Me fast paced, he didn't know the true meaning as deep as Hector which he sang with his heart and slow for his daughter Coco
yeah, Ernesto turned it into basically a pop song
i dont really remember what i was watching here on youtube until i just see your thumb in recommends, but now i'm subscribing, liking and crying while watching bcs coco is suck a perfect movie, i'm not easy to cry but this movie.... it hits so hard in my heart

I cried all over with your reaction, glad you got to know a little of our Hispanic tradition. Thanks again, much love!
This. this is the Disney that made me cry the hardest. What a beautiful movie
I love your reactions. Also, at the end, Hector finally had shoes.
I watched this movie in theaters while on a first date… GREAT movie, HORRIBLE first date idea 😂😂

I've loved your reaction and sweet way of speaking.
I'd love to see you reacting to Grave of the Fireflies (1988) from Studio Ghibli!
Love your reaction and comments! Greetings and huggs from northwestern Mexico.
I like to see how you get very emotional and believe I get the feeling everytime I watch this movie love you’re reaction is so lovely thank you 🙏
I am of Puerto Rican descent.
Awwww i loved ur reaction ❤
Thank you! 🤗
awesome video, always look forward to your reactions
i remember i saw this movie with my family thinking it was another silly pixar movie and at the end we turned to see each other ALL crying! beautiful movie!!
Great reaction... had to subscribe!
Thank you for appreciating this beautiful movie and sharing your reaction with us.
You are welcome. 😊
Ernesto De La Cruz is very similar to Pedro Infante (famous Mexican actor)
Subscribed as soon as I finished crying and dried my tears lol. Really enjoyed this video and am looking forward to more! 🫶
Its a very hard scene, if you lived with and enjoyed an abuelita, and it's no more with you, it'll make you cry like a cascade, I miss mine, and hope his well where ever she is
Love watching your reactions!
What a gorgeous reaction. Lovely channel
Thank you so much!🤗
Your heartfelt reaction was the reason I subscribed to you today. ❤❤❤

Hands down best animated film in history. I love this movie sooo much
I really loves this reaction, thank you!!! :,)
it's rare to see "Reacts Content" this genuine...
I really love all these cultural animated films that have come out through the years.
I watched this with my mom at the theatre and she was crying because it reminded her of her dad.
